Bonus: Free Unwanted Sleeping Companions — Bed Bugs I travel a lot. Either by road or air. I like to review honestly places that I stay. I also understand that it can be tough running a hotel. I have stayed here before as the halfway point on a regular road trip I make. It’s fairly clean and the staff friendly. But when you start to feel the crawl of bed bugs on your skin, then turn on the light to see them scurrying across the pillow I sort or draw the line I got up, got dressed, got packed and went back to the front desk. I told them what was going on and that I was leaving. The night manager was shocked and have me the name and email of the owner. She said she couldn’t refund me herself. I had tKen pictures of the bugs and sent them immediately to the email address. I spoke to the manager and they have promptly and cats usually issued a refund which I’m very happy about. They also showed me that they were going to inspect the rooms to make sure that this was an isolated issue

The worst motel I’ve ever stayed in. Ever. Good points: running water(but no hot water in the mornings), A/C, a bed and a bathroom. The bad: the carpet was so soiled that my feet turned black. The safety latch on the door was broken. The bathtub was very stained — I wasn’t sure if it was permanent or just not cleaned well but the appearance was disgusting. Found a long grey hair on a clean(?) towel… my hair is neither long nor grey. Obviously no quality control whatsoever. Some towels were folded. Some were not. Some were stained. No, I don’t need my towels folded but when have you been to a motel that didn’t have clean, neatly stacked towels and washcloths? It is simply an indicator of the lack of care and attention to the rooms in general. Oh, and our room was supposed to be non-smoking(even had the sign on the door); however, our room smelled like an ashtray. There were even ashes on the floor beside one of the nightstands. I have stayed at clean Super 8s before but this one does a disservice to those franchisees who maintain their quality standards. DONOTSTAYHERE!

If you really are in a financial slump, I would suggest you stay here. It’s the cheapest option around — otherwise I would recommend any other hotel. Me and my colleague were here for 2 weeks until we switched to a better one. There were very little pros to this place, the only nice staff were the ones during the day. At night time the service was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Some rooms can be keyed open with a creditcard or any piece of plastic, if safety is a concern for you — do not stay in room 142. The floors are never vacuumed during your stay and it feels gross wherever u walk. Nasty smells surround you in this place wherever you go. The bedsheets feel greasy when you lay on them and the pillows are yellowed. The chair next to my desk had a severe cum stain on it and was extremely smelly. Housekeeping barged in on me while I was almost completely naked on bed, very little concern for privacy. Also had a problem with the creditcard reservation, they had accidentally done a double reservation which maxed out my creditcard and wasn’t able to buy food for a week until it got resolved. Needless to say I did not like this. I wouldn’t even take the filthiest of hookers here. Good luck on your journey fellow traveler.

2.5 stars. This Super 8 motel was okay at best. The staff at the front desk were friendly when we checked in. It seemed like there were a lot of people staying there. The motel was located next a gas station as well as the I-10 freeway. Our room was small but the cleanliness was questionable. The carpet felt like it was damp but it wasn’t do you might want to wear socks instead of bare feet to walk around. The bathroom was very cramped and there were a couple of dead mosquitoes smashed on the ceiling and wall. I only saw soap but no shampoo. Maybe they forgot to stock those? I’m not sure if other rooms had an ironing board and iron, but there was no ironing board or iron in our room. Everything else was okay about the room. This Super 8 might be ideal for travelers who want to spend the lowest amount of money to stay per night; otherwise, I would stay elsewhere.
