Great tasting room, and tasty beer. They even have snacks in dog bowls for humans and dogs. The only con i have, and writing this more so for other Unilocal users is they do not allow minors inside the tasting room, no exceptions.

WOW!!! HANDSDOWNTHEBEST!!! came from California for a quick trip. We’ve been to several brewery’s in and around our area and these beers blew the doors off there competition. The cream ale was amazing, the huckle berry blew us away, the peach sour was very smooth, crisp and refreshing. can’t wait to go back. Craving one or several already lol. It will be our first stop next time in town. Great job LAUGHINGDOGYOUROCK!!!

The beer was good and certainly eight pours for seven bucks is a steal. Packed tasting room and one guy working. Locals kept coming in for growler fills, and I think it’s cool they feel at home and have such a great place to do so, but it seemed like if you didn’t know the bartender, good luck getting speedy service. Flight was served without a list of what was what. Had to steal a list from another table. Never explained the list or anything. I drink a lot of beer so I don’t need my hand held, but a quick run down would have been polite.

Amazing beer that we been drinking around inland northwest and finally made it out to their brewery. Outstanding beers and it’s dog friendly! They give you some snacks to much on which helps with the beer. The atmosphere is inviting and service is friendly!

This place rocks! Only downside is it’s so far away(from Spokane!) The taproom is comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always very friendly and on top of things when your glass is empty or snack bowl. All their beers are good, but hands down one of the best Huckleberry Ale’s I’ve had. Can’t beat the snacks either. Def. a must see/stop when passing through the area.

Loved the pale ale! The staff and owner were very friendly. We brought our dog inside and he had a great time. Hands down one of the best breweries around. They even give dog biscuits to the pups!

When you can go somewhere and try 10 different in-house brews, all of which are well done, you know you’re going to be there a while. Toss is absolutely fantastic and efficient service, and its a good thing I wasn’t the driver.

We always have SO much fun here on our way up to the Mountain. They supply the most amazing dog bowl full of their own random snack mix including pretzels, cheese puffs, bugles, Doritos, who knows what else and it goes SO well with their beer. My BF and I are big fans of the PUREBREDIPA and always pick up a growler while we’re there. It’s really fun to bring the dogs in and they love hanging out with the other canine patrons. This is the ONLY indoor bar I’ve ever been in with my dog and it’s fantastic!

You have to love a place that allows you to bring your best 4 legged friend in with you and serves you bar munchies out of a dog bowl! And the brew was great, to boot! The staff was friendly and engaging; I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in town.

Nice newer building and it shows as everything is clean and in good order. They have a huge selection of their brews on tap so you’re sure to find one, or more, that you like. This is a dog friendly place, and by that I mean, they actually allow you to bring your dog INSIDE!

If you happen to be driving on 95, just north of Sandpoint, perhaps on your way to or from Bonner’s Ferry(we were heading north, taking the scenic route to Kalispell, MT) and fancy a nice beer, Laughing Dog Brewing is an essential stop. There were so many good options, I had my first ever beer flight(though it was called a «sample platter»). Being my first, I don’t know if this is the usual thing, but each of the 8 beers were arranged from light to heavy, the perfect way to move along the beer spectrum. I should point out that the flight is no longer the very reasonable $ 5(as mentioned in other reviews), it’s now $ 7(which still is not bad). I enjoyed all the beers(favs were the Huckleberry Cream Ale and the DogZilla Black IPA), and would have liked to linger, but alas the road is calling. LDB is just a short drive north of Sandpoint, and I would say it is most definitely worth making it. There’s plenty of seating with a very comfy vibe. Snacks are free, if you don’t mind eating out of a dog bowl. I do wish there was something a bit more substantial served in he way of food, as we really did stop for lunch. Now I don’t mind a good beer for lunch, but since Thuy does not drink, it did not have much to offer for her. PS. Growlers to go too!

So I dragged my father to this brewery hoping that I would be able to find a beer in the Northwest that he would like. Lucky for me, he didn’t so I had to drink the whole flight by myself. This is a great brewery/taproom with about ten beers on tap. Most of the beers are great with defiantly the Northwest nod to big bitter hops. There is no food menu but the bar provides snacks or you can bring your own food. Dogs are also welcome into the bar. No brewery tours during the week but you can peek in and see the operation if you like

Gooood beer! Great environment! Awesome hopspitality :) ! This place has it all. I was really happy when I left here. All the beers we tried were good and the staff was super friendly. We got to tour the brewery because we went on a saturday. Apparently they only do tours on the weekend. Our guide was very friendly and patient as we asked a bunch of questions. We got a sampler. 8 beers for $ 5! Total steal! They have about 4IPA’s. One of the hoppiest IPA’s. 127IBU’s. Alpha dog. 8 ½%. Hoppy goodness! I really liked the pale ale and the cream ale as well. They have some pretzels and chips at the bar to snack on but no kitchen cooking up food. Dogs are welcome in the brewery. Check this spot out! They know beer!

After numerous attempts, I finally made it in to the Laughing Dog taproom during my most recent visit to Sandpoint and saw them boxing up a brand new beer destined for the GABF for it’s inaugural tasting. I tried to persuade the bartender to let me have a little sneak preview but he stuck to his guns, saying that only the brewers had tasted it yet. He hinted that it would be unleashed on the world after the festival, so keep an eye open for that. Anyway, the taproom kind of feels like you’re hanging out in a buddy’s garage, with«a bunch of old guys sitting around telling lies» and drinking beer. The owners’ collection of growlers from around the country line the walls, and various trophies and localphilia decorate the walls of the otherwise spartan public space. Too bad it’s in such an out of the way location, although they are purportedly moving closer to the Bonner Mall, where it will be more accessible from Hwy 95 as well as Hwy 200. As for the beers, they love their hops over at Laughing Dog, and I love them for loving hops. They have several IPA variations running the hops and alcohol gamut, depending on your taste. My personal favorite is the Rocket Dog Rye IPA, which has a very smooth body thanks to the rye but with an intense floral hop character that makes my hop-happy tastebuds tingle. For lighter fare, their 219er, brewed especially for the 219 Lounge in Sandpoint, is a really nice«alternative to PBR, without the diesel aftertaste.» Note that the 219er is only available at the taproom and the 219 Lounge. You probably won’t want to spend too much time at the taproom unless you’re on foot or have a designated driver, especially if you get into the Dogzilla or Alpha Dog, both of which will tip you over pretty quickly. But if nothing else you should get the dogbone sampler and try a little bit of everything. Plus, if you’re of the gamblin’ mind, you can contribute a dollar to roll the dice for a chance to win a number of fantastic prices, including half of a very substantial pot, the other half of which will go to the Panhandle Animal Shelter, a fantastic local no-kill shelter, where we adopted one of our two pooches.
