The Mary Keller Seabird Rehabilitation Sanctuary is right next to the Marine Science Center, and if you have a ticket for one, then you have a ticket for both. It is an all-outdoor facility which basically only houses indoor birds. However, there are always people working there, and it is quite nice to ask them questions about the various birds, and who knows, you might learn a thing or two! The Good: Plenty of Birds: If it’s natice to the Florida coastline, you’ll probably see it here. When we last visited there were hawks, owls, finches, pelicans, and pretty much everything else. Conservation up close: It is very important for our kids to learn about the human impact on wildlife, and where best to see it than at a conservation center where the injured animals receive medical care? The Bad: HOT!: This all-outdoor facility gets quite heated, especially in the summer, and the last time we made a trek out here we actually ended up leaving before we saw the whole thing, just because we needed to get some serious A/C. Olé! The Mary Keller Seabird Rehabilitation Center is a pretty cool facility, and as soon as you can stand the heat, it’s pretty cool. Overall 8.9÷10 See the Seabirds!
