Aly did a good job on my highlights after a previous salon did my single process too dark.

Let me start by saying this is my first bad review… ever. I had a horrible experience. I went in to have a Balayage. I showed my stylist a few pictures of what i wanted and I told her I don’t like the caramel brassy color. My hair is usually easy to get to a nice light blond. My hair ended up completely brassy, and not blended. My hair was completely blond. I said I would come back another day to have my hair fixed.
**I called and I ended up talking to one of the stylist who was COMPLETELY disrespectful when all I wanted was an explanation of how toners work. She gave me so much attitude. We ended up yelling, and I had to calm her down because we were going nowhere. **
I went back to get my hair fixed by a different stylist, and the manager showed up to guide the new stylist. (By the way I asked the manager if she could be the one to fix my hair, and she basically said no, because she was booked for the next two weeks. I said I would wait, and she still made up excuses). The stylist who fixed my hair was so sweet. She was supposed to add brown to my hair to blend the color and give more dimension. My hair ended up a dark RED at the top. So she had to do it AGAIN. She finally got a good brown, but to my surprise, it looks RED-​BROWN in the sun.
By the way, when I went back to get my hair fixed, the stylist said I would need a haircut pretty soon because my ends were damaged, but the 1^st stylist had given me a haircut the weekend before.
I wish I could give more stars because the main stylists were very sweet, but I can’t give stars on niceness. I paid around $ 250 in total and I will never go back. I did not get what I wanted at all.

My favorite hair salon in South Florida! Lyndsay does my cut and color. When i first started seeing her, my hair was severely damaged and broken from my previous colorist overdoing. She has been able to get my hair back to it’s original health and fullness while still keeping the color great. She knows I get uneasy about haircuts and has always exceeded my requests. They also have a good front desk staff who are always able to accommodate me and book what I need.

Had a great experience here with Aly — a sweet and talented young lady! Great color, cut and blow dry.

I chose this salon based on your reviews. I just started working in the Pompano Beach area so I am very new here and needed a blow dry.
Loved the atmosphere and the friendly voices that answered the phone.
I was scheduled with Lindsay, who did a fantastic job! I’ll be going back for my color that is so desperately needed.

Melanie is the best. After being highly recommended to this salon I went and asked for the person who is good with color and fine hair. I was sent to Melanie and she is great with my fine, delicate hair. My color is always perfect. I went there recently and Melanie was away and the stylist I got was not good with fine hair and really butchered it. Melanie was able to salvage my hair and get it healthy looking again. I have seen some great hair cuts especially on people with long thick hair. So many of the stylist are good. But Melanie is awesome. If you want a good stylist you will have to wait for an appointment because the good ones are booked.

I was not extremely impressed with my cut and style, however It was managable until my next one.

I found this salon by using Unilocal (duh!!) and bought the half off deal that Unilocal offered here. I paid $ 25 for $ 50 bucks to use at the salon and it was worth every penny. My stylist (I am so sorry, I forgot your name!) was awesome. Short haired girl, very sweet, awesome stylist. I’ve only been once, but had a great experience with my cut, the friendly staff and yummy treats while you wait :) My boyfriend also goes here regularly for his cut and he is always happy with it. Make sure you make an appt, walk-​ins on the weekend can be tricky!

I am in town on business and was in desperate need of a hair cut. I have a short bob that had grown out and had no time to go to my regular stylist of 6 years before my trips, so in desperation I found this place for a cut only. Shear Excitement was one of the only salons open on a Monday and open later hours also so I chose them although apprehensive. They got me in right then and a stylist named Courtney cut my hair. I was sooo worried because you can really screw up short hair, but she did a GREAT job. The place isn’t the fanciest and that worried me A LOT at first. She was also really fast which worried me, but the finally result was exactly what I wanted so I appreciated that she was good and quick too.
Highly recommend Courtney. I cant vouch for anyone else, but she’s great.

I have the worse experience ever in this not professional salon. Please be careful when u buy groupons for their services. They will want you to pay additional money otherwise the service will not be perform and if u just leave the salon they will redeem the voucher even so the services was not provided.

Love Shear Excitement! Have been coming here for years! Mara is the absolute best and always does an amazing job with my hair! I have sent her a few of my friends and they all have said the same… the salon is a good atmosphere & everyone that works there is super nice! I would def recommend the salon to anyone who is looking to try a new place out. If you can try to get in with Mara and you will not be upset with the outcome!

Tan and company did a great rush job to get me ready for my wedding day. Hair and nails done at same time. I missed my consultation appt due to flight cancellation and they really pulled things together!
