Active Mobility Center

This company is terrible. We heeded parts for a wheelchair and they sent us a tech. He said parts were needed and he would get a schematic from the company manufacturer. Well 6 weeks go by and nothing from Active Mobility Center. When I called the the excuse was the tech was ill. Was he ill for 6 weeks I don’t believe it. In addition I called and spoke to a woman named Ruth. I told here I needed another wheelchair. She said to send pictures to see if Medicare covered the chair. Never a call back and I called her twice. Do not do business with this company or you will surely have an abysmal experience.

Active Mobility Center is amazing! I was in town for a few months and rented a lightweight «companion» wheelchair that was better than the wheelchair I own at home! I asked for a wheelchair that would be suitable for my body type, and the staff immediately found one that was the perfect size for me!
Speaking of the staff, everyone there is extremely kind, compassionate, and genuine, and I felt very confident in their abilities to assist me with my needs.
They have numerous types of rehabilitation and disability equipment available, for almost every need you could think of. They even have beach wheelchairs to rent! As a person who’s used one, it makes a world of a difference in making it feasible to go to the beach as a physically disabled individual.
On top of Active Mobility Center having awesome equipment and incredible staff members, my experience was taken to the next level when I went to return my wheelchair rental after 3 months of use. I was expecting to pay for the 3 months of rent for the chair, but the wonderful lady working offered that I could just purchase the chair instead since it would be so much cheaper. Her kindness, generosity, and genuineness saved me $ 235!
What a fantastic place with exceptional human beings working there! The equipment needed when a person is physically disabled can get very expensive, and it’s truly comforting to know there’s a business out there that truly wants to help their customers and not take advantage of them. They truly try to make their products as affordable as possible for their customers.
