Sabor Mexicano

Sabor Mexicano has some of the most authentic mexican food I have ever had.
It is quiet a small spot. Looks like a hole in the wall. It is also in a sketchy area of Pomona where a lot of homeless people reside.
They have one lady who works the restaurant alone. I am also guessing they most likely only have one cook in the back.
If you decide to check this place out. You have to try their Horchata! Omg this is the best tasting Horchata ever!
The food is also very good.
The only reason why I cannot give it 5 stars is because you have to wait forever to get your food out to you.
We sat their and waited and waited. I looked around and everyone else was waiting too.
Another thing. Most mexican restaurants offer you complimentary chips and salsa. This place gives you a small portion of chips and salsa it isn’t bottomless like all the places I’ve been too. If you ask for more they charge you.
I mean if you don’t mind the long wait you should check them out but be warned.

Best Mexican Veggie burrito I have ever had, and I keep coming back! Awesome people, too

Had carne asada tacos & Al pastor tacos & I must say meat was flavorful & tortillas were made from scratch. With that said def coming back

Had the beef soup & corn tortillas. The soup was very tasty with a squeeze of lemon. The thick tortillas were excellent & appeared to be homemade. Good price & good service.
Only problem was an extremely loud child and no one made any attempt to calm her down.
Will definitely return if called for jury duty again.

Oaxacan (southern Mexican state) style along with Mexico City style Mexican food. Very tasty, decent sized dishes. More than ample parking. Tried the Huitlacoche quesadillas (México City style) along with the Oaxacan tamales (which are worlds apart from the standard style tamales found in Southern California. Really recommendable.

The food is pretty darn good because it’s made fresh, the downside though is that you have to wait a good little while for it.

I adore this place. The staff is so damn friendly. Portions are gigantic. Just gigantic. Super cheap. Spanish TV on. Fresh home juices and tortillas.
They make awesome vegetarian burritos, that aren’t on the menu. Just ask for them.
And I don’t think the neighborhood is sketchy at all.

Food is delicious. Had mole negro, red chilaquiles, eggs with nopales, and the huitltacoche quesadilla, yeah that is corn mushroom and all were really good. Hand made tortillas completed the meal. They also juice here, tried the orange, beets, carrot and celery. Very friendly

I love this place. Just love it. The menu doesn’t include all the stuff that they can make (i.e. vegetarian food) but if you ask, they are 100% happy to oblige. Super friendly costumer service. Super sized portions. Super cheap. I seriously love this place and will make frequenting it a regular from here on out.
Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
They make everything from scratch, including tortillas and the juices.

Earlier this week Danny (a good friend of ours) recommended this place. Thomas Jefferson had been here in the states and missing authentic Comida Oaxaqueña but when we called they were closed.
So today I made my way down here. It is located just South of Mission Blvd. off of Garey Ave. The neighborhood is indeed sketchy but the food was good… NOT COMPARED to what we usually eat off of the street carts in Oaxaca but good MOS DEF for here. You can either dine in or take-​out they have seating available, Spanish TV on, no cerveza but Fresca Juices a plenty. I saw hibiscus and sangria (no alcohol) that looked pretty good from all the people that walked in and ordered it.
Tyaluda, Torta’s, Mushroom with Quesillo or Squash Blossom Quesadilla are offered here as well. Oh yea and Tamal with Mole sauce too! I did not order everything but I will probably return to try the other offerings…
