Cardenas Supermarket

I had to come here since the one on Holt and Mills closed. Rude employees. Not worth it. the parking was ok, hours are good, but everyone was really rude like they feel they’re doing US a favor by being there. There were bugs in the bins, rotten produce… like literally molding and leaking and smelly. Will definitely not be back. If that’s the produce, how must the meat be? Awesome prices but nope not worth it.

Pay my Edison bill here since they take payments at no convenience fee! Produce is bountiful and prices look good. Great cleanliness.

Ya van variad veces que la cajera «Laila» nos atiende y cada vez es lo mismo, no saluda. O si saluda es de mala gana. Una vez le cobro mal a mi mama, y cuando mi mama le dijo, se enojo y nunca pidio disculpas, deade esa vez, siempre que nos ve da mala cara. Hoy nos atendio y ni gracias dijo, pero con la siguenye clienta estuno muy able y sonriente. Lo hace a proposito la vieja cabrona

The woman in the bakery are rude and unprofessional. I needed pricing for a cake and the two woman saw me waiting to be helped I finally said if I can get pricing on a cake. One lady gave me a price then walked away. Is said «I wasn’t done» she just spoke to the other lady working the bakery too and said «I’m going home already» and did not bother to further assist.
Today, again I visited the bakery as my daughter wanted a tres leche cake for her bday. The woman behind the counter are not friendly, look miserable and are not welcoming at all. Horrible service

Gave this store 1 star only because that what the lowest they had. In a word this store is nasty, it stinks and the meat looks old, produce is ok, but I can’t go in there. It even looks dirt from the outside. The property is unkempt

esta ves me toco mandar a mi amigo a comprarme un caldo de pollo. cuando el llego y miro el caldo or chicken suop, me llamo luego luego y me dijo que el se miraba feo or looks like shit than y luego le dije que mejor me trajera un caldo de res el caldo no se mira foe pero me lo lleno de pura papa cosida y dos pedasitos de carne se supone que deben de poner un pedaso de verdura de diferente clase e tmbien el caldo estaba frio lo tube que calentar en en micro y tambie me din me dijo que el puito que lo atendio se creiia el dueno del lugar y que lo miraba como si el no estuviera pagando [por la comida. solo les digo a los duenos que se fijen que clase de personal tienen y a todos est@s pendejos los deberian de correr ala calle

Very over priced for the quality. always a every long wait to pay. only come here for emergencies since we live close. the jewelry man is very polite and honest and does not overcharge-​that is the only reason I gave any stars really.

Tacos… YUM. Best tacos hands down. Love the salsas, meat and fresh tortillas. I also love the horchata. Every time I visit my dad in Pomona I make him take me here.

Great Mexican products! A lot of things made fresh in the store, including tortillas. A+ quality and taste! Love it.

Cardenas is a huge store with all kinds of great Mexican products that are hard to find at your local Vons, Ralphs, etc. Prices are great, you can literally get 10 lbs of oranges for a dollar. The bollios were fresh and so was the salsa, guacamole and tortillas. The hot food that they sold didnt look too appealing as it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. A couple of things I didnt care for were there were a bunch of little nats flying around the fruit and veggies and of course the smell of the fresh meat in the meat case (I hate that smell). Other than than, the workers were helpful and I found what I was looking for. Parking is plenty but be careful as there are empty carts just floating around the parking lot.

I went there today to get nachos from the little restaurant inside and when we ordered they didn’t really seem like they wanted to make us any food. Told us we would have to wait 20 minutes for asada, got quiet when Iasked for pollo then and finally I just settled for carne asada which was probably already cooked. The two people seemed to wander around the kitchen lost (seemed to be waiting each other out on who would make the nachos) I sat down and waited for the nachos for 20 minutes and when I convinced my boyfriend to go and ask about them, the nachos had been sitting out in the open for who knows how long and they were cold. Very disappointing.
Just make the extra trip to the Cardenas on Holt, better service.

***Yo, Wednesday’s where it’s at because that’s the day of the 1-​day sale***
Grab your little ad paper and take a cruise through the produce aisle. Here’s where, in season, you can spend your dollar either on (a) twelve pounds of oranges, (b) five mangoes, © four bushels of radishes, (d) 10 avocados and so on and so forth; you get the idea. This place is seasonal and fresh and the price is RIGHT. I wish more people would shop here rather than Vons or Ralphs or Albertsons… they wouldn’t complain about groceries costing so much, that’s for sure.

I shopped in the market and ordered take-​out from the restaurant; the experience was as follows:
3 stars — clean & well stocked aisles. produce dept had good selection, was fresh and prices were very competitive
2 stars — carnitas & al pastor tacos were decent and asada burrito was above par — overall, food was okay, but kinda pricey.
1 star — the girl got my order wrong. I distinctly ordered two 3 tacos carnitas plate and I only got one. fortunately, I was only charged for one. the other 1 star is the parking lot. nobody bothers to put the carts away and they don’t even bother to put them over a parking curb so they don’t roll away. the entire parking lot is an obstacle course of carts that you have to weave around! obviously the clerks don’t care to go out and round them up so carts don’t go rolling into your car.
⁵⁰⁄₅₀ on whether I’ll be coming back or not. This was my second time here. it’s actually too far to make it an effort to shop here. I haven’t purchased any of the meats yet, but there’s a good selection and prices are decent. I won’t bother with ordering food there any more. There’s plenty of Mexican eateries between here and home that I can frequent.

I Like The Full Service Meat Department, But The Lack Of The Employees Speaking English Took A While Before I Could Get What I Wanted As I Don’t Speak Spanish.
I Bought Some Produce From Them Once And When I Got It Home And Started To Clean It For Our Meal It Was Rotten Inside. Looked Good On The Outside But The Inside Of The Vegetable Was A Different Story!!!
I’ll Get My Produce At Costco Or Sam’s Club From Now On.
Some Prices Are Affordable, But Otherwise I Would Rather Go To Winco.
