Great place, great food. Local feel. Try the fish n chips and some garlic fries. Taco Tuesday is great too. 1.50 per taco.

Look this is a small hole in the wall bar next to Sly park, i am not expecting 5 star service here, with that said the food is going to be frozen and mostly fried, with being on vacation and having a few drinks fried food, which is just fine with me

My local spot. Great outdoors eating set in the woods across from SlyPark Lake. Nice folk, good sandwiches, burgers and chicken strips. Nice place to come after a hike, swim, day of boating, camping or fishing

This our little local hidden gem! Food is always made to order hot, garlic fries are the best! As they say at the knot hole, «we make good food, not fast food» doesn’t take too long to get your order though. Just long enough to stop and enjoy life with a cold beer at the bar! Denise and Jeff have never let us down. We’ll be Customers for life!

After spending 6 epic days in Tahoe, we were looking for a nice mid-​way watering hole :)
The staff is amazing, the food fresh and the bloody Mary’s on point!

I certainly wouldn’t drive here to eat, but if you are at the lake it is convenient (has a grocery store attached). Kind of looks like a little dive bar but felt totally safe and comfortable taking the kids into the little table area inside to eat. Friendly, slow service but at least they didn’t rush us. We had beef tacos that were amazingly good!

We always stop at the Knott Hole for an afternoon bite to eat and drink. After a long hike around the lake or a refreshing dip in the water I work up an appetite. And guess what, the good olé Knott Hole is there for me. My favorite orders consist of a refreshing frosty cold beer and a burger, chili, tacos or chicken strips!
Great Day in the mountains. Of course a friendly game of horseshoes in the back is a must! If you get a chance to check out live music in the back with an awesome campfire, you will be in mountain heaven. Enjoy!

Um, no. If you’re not a local I wouldn’t bother. Salad: Comes from a bag. Food: Fried. Fried. Fried. We came for lunch, family of four, and felt almost like we’d walked on to the set of Deliverance. Took 45 minutes for us to get our Fried Food. I swear she (the bartender who also cooks) served the locals at the bar ten times faster than she served us. Why 2 stars and not one? When I paid the bill she acknowledged we had waited too long, which I appreciated. But no. Won’t be visiting this place again.

Unilocal has sometimes let me down but this time Unilocal has let me down big time. Seriously, I used Unilocal to find this place because it had an average star rating of 4.5 but something is really messed up here.
This place is more of a dive bar than a place to eat. When you first go inside it’s mainly one large bar with 3 small tables in the back for eating. I had to place my order at the bar and get my own drinks. There was one person cooking, bartending and cashiering. There was a guy who would help bring out the orders to your table, sometimes. Most of the time we had to go to the bar to pick up our food when it was ready.
Okay I can deal with all of that but the price was crazy for what you get. There where three of us. We had one regular hamburger and 2 venison hamburger. We also had one margareta (worst I’ve ever had pretty much no alcohol), one long island ice tea and a watered down scotch whiskey.
Anyways the 3 burgers plus 3 drinks cost $ 70 with tax and tip!!! I have to say that it was the most expensive burger I have had in my entire life.
The only reason why I am giving them 2 stars is because the burger was well cooked and I didn’t make me sick afterwards.
WOW amazing for $ 70 3 people could have had a much better meal at Red Lobster, Olive garden, or any chain. There wasn’t even any view, you pretty much sat in a small back corner.
Go there if you like but what I have reviewed was the truth.

WOW! Top notch Blood Mary! Highly recommend you request the regular which is spicy! The spicy is HOT!!! We returned a 2^nd time and requested they mix 75% of the regular mix with 25% of the spicy! Excellent! Super Bowl Sunday we vowed to seek out the best Bloody Mary! So far, the Knot Hole Bar & Grill is in the lead!

Love the setting here and the food! Super convenient for us, we live right down the road, and I LOVE the garlic fries! Eating in is nice too, usually pretty quiet and private, we’ll continue to come here for good, local food!

Best burgers in Pollock Pines. Fries and rings too. That’s all I have had here, mainly ’cause they’re so good.

Great place to stop in after a mountain bike ride, a hike, or a day on the lake. Beer is cold, burger choices are plentiful and the make a mean Black Bean Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. Lot’s of sun in the out door seating areas if you desire.

Whenever I come out to the lake for a hike I always stop at the Knot Hole for a Knotty Chicken, or a good Cheese Burger with Garlic Fries, and an ice cold beer. Try the deep fried zucchini with Parmesan cheese and ranch for a treat.

Fun place to hang out. The food is pretty good. the back area is great to hang out in a fire and watch the snow fall!

Every time I’m out near Pollock Pines, I make it a point to swing by the Knott Hole for a good burger and fries. The onion rings are really good as well. They have a good selection of beer.

Great place. Great people. Food is made to order so everything is hot when you get it. Great burgers and tacos.

Sweet find in Pollack Pines. Ate here with my family of five during off season. Good burgers & garlic fries. Friendly service. Will be back again!
