Great burger, reasonable prices and the milkshake was great. Service was good if you are up in Pollack pines and want a burger, go here. I was here on National Burger day. No way was I going to a chain store. It was the right decision. When I get up that way again I will definitely return. Support small business, especially when they are this good. Enjoy the patio while you are there.

This place has 7⁄10 on the burgers. It’s the service that holds it back. Don’t go in an hour to close– we got our food delivered and a check brought to our table, that was the only time we had contact with our waitress.

I was surprised how bomb the food was. I ordered a western junior cheeseburger. The junior size was perfect for me. The burger was cooked perfectly; it was a little greasy, but delicious. My table also ordered jalapeño poppers, French fries, and onion rings. We also took advantage of the free milkshake offer and got an egg nog milkshake. The milk shake was good consistency and the flavor was on point. Overall, the food and customer service was great.

Sat outside. Ate a bacon burger and had a great experience. The service was great. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air. The were always checking in with us and making sure we had a fresh beverage.

Burger was ok. I had the western and it was very light on BBQ sauce. I asked them to hold the thousand island dressing so I guess that may have been why it was kind of dry. Milk shake was good. Onion rings were good. Both my wife and I thought that the burgers were just ok. It was about $ 40 for 2 regular burgers, 1 Jr burger, 1 large shake, 1 salad, 1 fry and 1 onion ring.

Local burger spot. Burgers taste like a homemade burger. Delicious! Staff is very nice and welcoming. Must try.

OMG these burgers are so out of this world! Being from Reno, its a bit of a drive to get here, but I would drive all the way there just to enjoy one of their AMAZING burgers again. It has got to be the best burger I have ever ate. And the service was fabulous as well. That’s what they get for making everything to order! They win my vote and are totally worth the wait!

We decided to make a stop to eat on the way back to the bay from Lake Tahoe. We ended up here at the Burger Barn in Pollock Pines. The main reason for this spot was because of the deep fried mushrooms. Not too many places serves deep fried mushrooms so when I find one, I tend to try the place. It was a cute and cozy restuarant. We were greeted right away once we walked through the door. The server came not too long after we picked our seat. I could not really make up my mind on which sandwich to order but luckily our server suggested the chicken melt. It went well with my deep fried mushrooms. My husband ended up ordering the Swiss cheese burger double patty. He enjoyed that burger very much. Along with his burger he ordered curly fries. They were nicely seasoned and crispy. My kids had chicken nuggets and burger kids meal with root beer float and milk shake. If your either on your way to Lake Tahoe or on her way home from Lake Tahoe, I would suggest dropping by Pollock pines and eat here. The food and service is great!

We pushed through South Lake Tahoe to avoid the sprawling crowds and hour-long wait times in hope to find a little gem such as the Burger Barn. My girlfriend got a burger, perfectly cooked with all the trimmings. Thousand Island sauce comes standard. I ordered a Philly with a delicious cut of beef and a soft fresh hoagie roll!

This place has outstanding burgers! The double with pastrami is probably my favorite. I have not tried one of their«stuffed burgers» yet but look forward to doing so. Beer battered fries are really good and they have a bunch of different milkshakes to choose from. If you are a burger junkie like me, you gotta try burger barn. Super delicious! Great service as well. Price is super fair for what you get.

On our way back from Tahoe browsing through Unilocal I saw this place was on our way home to the Central Valley. I’m a fan of burgers and this is one of the greatest burger places I’ve ate at. The employees were very nice and were very quick to bringing out the food. I got the western burger with curly fries and it had a phenomenal taste and was very filling. Finding out they also had shakes I had to try it. The shake was good as well and really helped the burger and fries digest. I really recommend this place, feels like home.

We had our dogs with us so we already planned to order our food to go. There is an outdoor patio so wondering if it is dog friendly? We didn’t ask but it appeared it might be an option. All burgers are cooked to order so there is a short wait. No problem there. We sat on their shaded patio. Very pleasant. Person taking my order was very nice. One cheeseburger and one garden burger and two orders or fries. Good burgers, generous portions. I liked the addition of thousand island on the burgers. Fries are great too. One order of fries could’ve easily fed two people. We will definitely return!

Would have been perfect if they hadn’t forgot my pickles & tomato that I asked for. Nothing worse than a plain burger. But the meat was juicy and the cheese was melted to perfection. Customer service was poor– the cashier was not the friendliest. In a small town like this you should probably treat locals better!

Dropped by on the way to Tahoe, pleasantly surprised by this find! Very casual, hole-in-the wall with a charmingly dated wooden interior. Ordered a jalapeño burger and a peanut butter burger with curly fries and it was all really delicious and fresh. There are big signs that remind you that everything is made to order so expect to wait 15 – 20 minutes on your food. The stuffed burgers looked good too but we didn’t want to wait the extra minutes. Service was fast, attentive, and the ladies were very nice and down-to-earth. Our bill came out to $ 20 with sodas.

This is a classic burger joint correct in every way. It’s greasy, stuffed, charbroiled, melted, fried and served up hot. The establishment is what it is and it’s certainly not trying to disguise itself as something it’s not. it’s simple and strait forward. The service is kind but curt. Most of the customers seem like they are high. I’m sure they come for the milkshakes and malts, that’s why the families go to. Plenty of parking and plenty of outdoor seating for the nice days. Not a good beer selection. The selection of burgers is amazing.
