I am so surprised that when I searched for this Maine State Park on Unilocal I coudn’t find it. Well, lets just say, if its on Unilocal,I am duplicating my efforts gladly! This is a gem of a park and yes, it is open year round. 2014 was the first year round event for this park as it is usually seasonal from May-​October. Well now you can hike MORE, cross country ski more, snow shoe, and snow mobile near by. Dont forget Mountain Biking. Yes, even in the snow you can do all this. Ice skate on the pond and ice fishing as well. I love this park. I went on a New Years Day hike this year and about 62 people came. It was fabulous. I hiked about an hour and a half more in addition to the 45 minute hike the ranger led us on. It was so cool. Now that it has snowed, there will be a nicely groomed xc ski trail. Plus I can hike on it… wow, just grand. Go here and visit this place. It is worth the drive from anywhere.
