Just like several reviews say, this place is amazing! The food was amazing, the service was incredible, and the store was very clean. I’ll go back fore sure.

As a first time patron at Taste of India and Nepal, I wasn’t sure what to order but I knew I wanted something curry. My server recommended the Nepali Thali — lamb(or chicken) curry, dal(assorted lentils), mixed vegetable curry, salad and rice pudding. I also ordered plain naan and a Kingfisher. Wow! I couldn’t be happier with my selections. So, so good. The hostess and the server were both helpful and charming, coaching me on the proper way to eat my dinner. I hope I’m in Pocatello again soon so I can eat here a second time.

One of the worst Indian food ever. It’s only in business because there is no competition.

Came here last year with some friends, and it was truly delicious. Great, friendly service, too.

Went for lunch buffet with a friend and her child. The woman at the front was kind, welcoming, and even helped get the child in the high-chair. Food was… DELICIOUS! Great flavors and pretty good variety! The naan was fluffy and buttery. Spices on point! Just as good and even better than Indian food in a big city. Staff was attentive to our needs and filled water before glasses were empty. I’m totally coming back next time I’m in Pocatello area! Cheers!

This was our second visit at this place, and it has maintained it quality. Food was very good, service is good and we throughly enjoyed ourselves.

I heard there were new owners and went last night. My first review from 2012 was a 5 star great review; I now wish I could rate this restaurant a 10+ star! The service was OUTSTANDING! The garlic naan is even better(if you can believe that) and the butter chicken was to die for! YUM!

We went there for dinner on the way back from Grand Tetons National Park. Quiet place, nice tasty food. No fuss. Friendly staff, quick service. Ordered from the vegetarian menu, the food had a lot of flavor and was not greasy. I’d go there again.

I went in a few months ago for a friend’s birthday. I was a bit dubious at first because of the simple décor, but don’t let that deter you. The food was great with a definite authentic taste. We couldn’t get enough of the garlic naan.

I really hope the old Pocatello downtown revitalization takes traction. It has so much potential. There are many restaurants that are great and Taste of India and Nepal is a highlight. It’s hard to image that there could be such good Indian food in Poci. Our table ordered some palak(one lamb and one chicken), naan(some garlic and some plain), a combo platter, and the Exotic Curry. Lots of food and completely freaking delicious. I love Indian food and this place totally hit the spot. I will be back.

No food on the buffet. The food that was there was mediocre at best. Last time I’ll ever eat there.

I am brokenhearted. This used to be my favorite restaurant. It is clearly under new management, and they don’t seem to have an Indian cook in the kitchen any longer. The buffet at lunch is not going well at all. Never fully stocked, and what remains is cold, which is a health violation. The new owners just don’t seem to know what they are doing. I fear this is the end of Indian food in Pocatello.

Went a couple days ago for the lunch buffet. Can tell that the restaurant is under new ownership because the same food we used to love tastes completely different. It’s a shame because we used to love going to this place but we probably won’t be going back.

I did not get what I had ordered. The chicken curry was very«watery» and not good. The lady working there seemed very confused with everything. The service was terrible, after the food was delivered nobody came back until I was finished, no drink refills. I would not go back again.

I went in tonight at 6:40 ish with my friend and up till 7:30 we still didn’t have our food. The customers who came after us had all their food served and we didn’t even get our appetizers. So we walked out in disappointment.

Tandoori chicken was juicy and flavorful. Garlic naan was fresh and warm with perfect amount of garlic. Vegetable Korma atop basmati rice was my favorite. The sauce was just right and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very polite and soft spoken. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is they never brought my husband his white wine but they didn’t charge us for it either. Will definitely go back!

Thanks to all the reviews we knew to order the tandoori chicken, vegetable korma and the garlic naan. They were all equally delicious. There happened to be a parade, the Pocatello annual Festival of Lights. Good timing and good food.

Went for the lunch buffet, very disappointing for 10 bucks they offer about 8 entrées, two of which were rice and 2 of them bread. There were about a dozen patrons and they had problems keeping the food stocked. I am a big fan of curry, quite disappointing to see how it’s prepared, when the chicken runs low let’s dump some precooked chicken back into the sauce. Nothing was restocked unless a patron asked. As for the service I ask for napkins which ended taking 10 minutes. Maybe this spot does better on dinner pass on the lunch buffet.

Try the Butter Chicken with an order of Naan. I know it sounds boring, but it’s really quite good. I’ve had only the butter chicken, so can’t comment on any other dish.

From the outside this place doesn’t look like anything interesting. The décor inside is very simplistic, nothing fancy, and very understated. I wasn’t expecting in the middle of Pocatello Idaho to find a Nepalese/Indian food restaurant. I thought I was definitely taking a gamble trying this one out. It was very close to closing, but the server was happy to seat us, and never once made us feel rushed. The service was super friendly and great. There were several others dining, and from the conversations you could tell they were local regulars. They were having a hard time ordering because they loved everything on the menu. I say that’s a good problem to have. My friend and I had both travelled to Nepal together in 2009, and this was our first time having Nepalese food since that trip. It was hard to choose, as they had a good selection of Nepalese items. We went for the Nepali combination plate and a starter of Papadam. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the food was served in the traditional Nepalese dishes, just like we experienced on our trip. Eating brought back so many good memories of our trip to Nepal. The chicken of the chicken curry was a bit on the dry side, but overall everything was extremely tasty and very flavorful. I ordered medium spice, and wow was it strong. I noticed on the sign they have a lunch buffet, would have loved to try that.
