Only come here if you have have a few hours to kill! Took over an hour to get our food. Food was ok but certainly not worth the wait

Were seated, given a cup of coffee and a water, waited 20 minutes to order, then an hour and no food in sight. We watched as tables that came in much later than us got fed, table after table after table and we realized they were feeding their regulars and bumping us. When I inquired, I received the most rude response so we picked up and left, never to return. Oh, by the way, the«waiter» who cleans tables and serves drinks NEVER washes his hands between cleaning tables and serving drinks. Yikes, no thank you, not a chance, ever. Bummer, because we were really hungry and waiting well over an hour made us bolt for the first available place to eat and actually get served.

Can’t review the food. We didn’t get fed. Just sat and watched people they obviously knew get their orders. Sat for almost an hour and got made fun of when we asked about it. NO food is worth that.

Not a great start. There’s a «please wait to be seated» sign as you walk in. We waited 5 unexaggerated minutes, with no hi, no we’ll be right with you, no nothing. A busser finally said that there was a table here, that she just cleared. Come to find out, she doesn’t even work there. We then realized that they must be understaffed for whatever reason. As we sat, we watched the dishwasher bussing tables and serving food(hope he washed his hands) and ringing up checks. We got to talking to the young lady who sat us, and found that she was the dishwashers girlfriend and she had worked there some time ago. She came in to eat, and decided to help out. Very nice. The lone waiter took our order in a very timely manner and the food came out quickly, served by the dishwasher. The waiter checked on us once, and boxes and checks came out when they should. The food was better than I expected, and was made just like we ordered it. All in all, it was a good experience. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the wait, but we’d definitely go back.

This place so the best. Can’t go wrong with anything you order. Portions are large staff is great. And The bloody Mary’s are great. The guy with the bandana makes them the best. You only need one.

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly service at a fair price. What more could you ask for at a restaurant?

Came here on Sunday for brunch which is prime time. There seemed to be a huge party here. There were old fashioned 1920’s cars all in the parking lot. It was a mad house. We were promptly greeted and seated. We had a booth. The plastic was torn at the seams and held together with duct tape. Okay. Our server was friendly and quickly took our order. We waited about 30 minutes until our food arrived. They had a lot of orders to fill and I could see the cooks were overwhelmed. They tried their best to coordinate. Very friendly people here. The portions were huge. I got the bacon and avocado benedict which was amazing. The avocado was fresh and the bacon crispy. Yummy! I also asked for extra crispy hashbrowns and they delivered!

It gets busy because the food is REALLYGOOD. My favorite«local café» in California right now. Make plans to stop here and enjoy it. Hard to find places like this anymore. Totally worth the drive.

Lived near here for about a year and haven’t stopped in until recently, and man do I wish I would have come earlier! Portions were huge, staff is amazing and the food was delicious. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the Bloody Mary. I got the eggs Benedict with added goat cheese and it was exactly what I was craving. I always hate when the eggs aren’t runny but they did it perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the country fried steak and said it was one of the best he’s had. Seasoning was top notch and it wasn’t dry! They definitely got repeat customers!

I read the Unilocal reviews and this looked like a decent spot for breakfast. Little did we know that it was not just decent but pretty darned good! We arrived early but this place was already jumping with crowds of people and servers scurrying around to take orders and serve huge portions of food. This is a true diner but unusual that they serve Bloody Marys and other brunch time libations. It was a bit early for me to start on a alcoholic drink but even the coffee was pretty good. We thought we’d eat light; a split a scramble and some biscuits and gravy. Shame on us for not asking how big the B & G serving was! Instead we were shocked to be served what looked like two humongous meals by our cheerful and amused server, Karen. Next time we’ll know better but my Kristen’s Scramble and the Biscuits and Gravy were so good that we ate almost the whole thing(and that was the last full meal for the day). I’m sure we will be back as Mr. S deemed it the best breakfast ever!

On my way to wine tasting, second time here. The eggs benedict is crazy good the ham was half an inch thick. Bisquits and gravy took up the whole plate. Great service. Place is a little old, could use some sprucing up, but great place to eat.

Dont be fooled by the shabby outer layer, this place is very, very good. Big portions, decent coffee and speedy, attentive service. Think diner style with lots of regulars. Came for a late breakfast — chicken fried steak is perfect, ribeye is better than you’d expect at a diner and reasonably priced. Breakfast burrito is deliciously obscene. Biscuits and gravy are a meal in and of itself. We will be back to explore the rest of the menu!

Great food, huge portions. Good service and friendly atmosphere. j I give it 4 stars because I wish their hours were longer, but breakfast and lunch are obviously their busy times. Great omelets and burgers, and sandwiches. Good basic comfort food–

Love the food here! We stop in every time we’re in the area… biscuits and gravy are my favorite. It’s hard to find really good biscuits and gravy. Love the bloody mary’s and my boyfriend stands by Karen’s coffee. ;) The service is also very friendly. Sometimes it’s busy and the wait is a little long, but that’s okay… nothing good ever came out of your momma’s kitchen in just 10 minutes(unless your favorite food is made by Marie Calendar and comes frozen). If you’re on a diet, just cheat and come here anyway.

Wow, one of the best breakfast stops I know of. I came here for the first time recently but it won’t be the last. Undoubtedly the best corn beef hash I have ever tasted! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, big bottomless coffee.

Best breakfast place I have ever eaten at. so yes… it truly is as good as it gets. the portions are huge! the food is delicious and they are a family restaurant and they do their best to accommodate every need you could have. They got cajun holendase sauce, cream cheese like crazy, so many meats… this just took a sexual turn i apologize. But breakfast foods are fairly common euphemisms. I go here every time I am visiting the area and it sure is a nice little comfort food place. Once you make the trip out here you will never enjoy another breakfast place again. THATIS A FREAKINGUARANTEE! Reading all of the haterbaters on here most of them are mad about price… but for all the food you get… shut your mouth… and chew, swallow, and enjoy a delicious breakfast. I spend about 12 dollars when I go, that include a huge thing of a bisquit and gravy, a crap load ofhomestyle potatoes and eggs. With a lot leftover. THEVERDICT: Greatest breakfast food restaurant… hows their lunch? no idea. when you find something good stick to it and dont deviate too much is my belief. mmmmmm food.(ps we make the 30 minute drive because… its worth it)
