We ordered our bed from Amish Tables, right before we were married, and I had looked at samples and had a pretty good idea of what it would look like, but I was blown away at how pretty it was in real life. :) The craftsmanship is lovely… you can just tell the difference immediately. Torie was a delight to work with, very friendly and knowledgeable, while offering solid tips on how to get what we had in our minds into a reality. We’re going on two years and it’s still holding up lovely! Definitely worth the wait and money invested!

I was searching for a bunk bed with a trundle for my twin boys. With most of the retailers in the furniture stores, either the products were not made in America, or they were made with plywood/pressboard. I’ve already seen my children destroy their toddler beds, so I wanted something made of real solid wood. So we did some comparison shopping and spoke with the salespeople at Amish Tables. They agreed they could do a custom made bunk bed w/trundle, and the cost was comparable to high-end furniture producers. I was excited that it would be handmade, in the US, locally, of solid wood and using formaldehyde-free stains. Things went well in the beginning, staff were very helpful and responsive. However, once I put 60% down on the product, I didn’t hear from anyone for another 3 months. At that time, I wrote to inquire about the status of my order, since the original estimate was 2.5−3 months. I did not hear back from the sales person for a few days so I stopped in the store, since it is on my way home. Showing up in person must ruffle the feathers, because I did get a response explaining that the piece has to go to inspection first and should be ready within a few weeks. 6 weeks later, make another inquiry, which gets forwarded to some other person who states she will contact me within 24 hours. 48 hours later, I call and ask for that person, who is not in the office. So, I leave another message. Finally get a call to schedule delivery! My product is delivered and set up by very friendly and nice gentlemen. However, now i have issue with the trundle drawer. There are no handles or knobs to help assist with opening and it does not have any track or anything to help move in a straight line. So when I’m able to open it by prying my fingers in the cracks, I cannot close it straight. In addition, when pushed too far, there is no stopper in the back and the drawer moved out further than the bed, nicking our baseboards & molding. I called to ask about having knobs or handles applied to the drawer(have you every seen a drawer with no opening mechanism? Not even a beveled edge to help get your fingers around??) and had not heard anything back 2 days later, so again I stopped in the store. At this point, I had to reign in the rage as I spoke with the poor uninvolved salesperson after he told me that I would have to pay additional charges to have handles applied or I would have to do it myself. Really, when you pay this amount of money, you expect it to be better than Ikea furniture! I am supposed to speak with the manager tomorrow, and if you learned anything about me in the above review, you KNOW I will be all over this. So I will update my review and give them a chance to add stars if they are able to resolve this issue in a satisfactory & timely manner. I really do not relish the idea of spending that much money for something that I am now unable to use. So, in summary, if you order standard item, you are probably safe. But their timing estimates are inaccurate, so add a month or 2 when told an expected delivery date. Additionally, after you pay for the product, you may need to become a stalker to get responses from salespeople. And sadly, they require payment in full before they will deliver it.

I have to write a review because the customer service has been outstanding. I recieved a table last month, which is beautiful. It was a table they had on the display floor. Prior to ordering, I was questioning the color so the person I spoke to on the phone sent me about a dozen additional photos from her iphone, which was very helpful The delivery person, who is not employed by Amishtables, was another story. He was rude and created some issues for me. I almost choose to not say anything, but it was so bad I decided to let Amishtables know what sort of people they’re in business with. They took my concerns VERY seriously and offered me an additional care kit free of charge. Then they followed up to ensure I received it. I also ordered a pad, which was missing two panels when it arrived. One call to Amishtables and they were all over it. They coordinated with the manufacturer and followed up with me more than once. Mistakes happen, but it’s how a company responds that makes all the difference. It’s unfortunate all companies don’t behave this way. I highly recommend this place!

Steer clear. I bought a kitchen dining table and chairs about two years ago. Very shortly the table started developing cracks. I have to admit that they did make anew top and it was delivered by truck, and the guy swapped out the top for me. Now I have cracks on two legs of the table(multiple cracks on each), and a crack on the chair seat. I called and was told they would send me the parts, and they want me to get someone to replace them. Forget it. I did not spend all that money to 1) wind up with an inferior product, and 2A) have to hire someone on my own to replace the parts. They obviously are not using first rate wood, and at their prices, that is not acceptable.

We love this place! We purchased an under the window TV stand and a corner stand. The next year we ordered a complete bedroom set. The solid oak is beautiful and the workmanship is outstanding. Prices are very reasonable too.
