Avoid these people at all cost. I found them on Unilocal and had just given them a call to inquire about their filing fees and some other tax questions for my filing situation. Instead of answering simple question, the guy asks me (after me telling some details about my tax situation) that why don’t I do it myself online. Moreover, he asks me how much have I paid in the past, putting me in a very uncomfortable situation. Even when I tell this guy that that information should have no bearing whatsoever, he would still insist me to answer, instead of he answering my question. When I finally say that, I have been here long enough to file my taxes myself and also hire someone for $ 500. He simply concluded that I wanted to get some cheap alternative and replied very rudely and in an utterly unacceptable manner saying that I should just go to some shop who would do it for $ 10 and then hangs up the call. I am beyond shock to find out this is the way these guys do business. Highly JUDGEMENTAL and CONCLUSIVE people. The fact that I am writing a review on Unilocal for someone, in itself exemplifies the kind of service (or no service) I received.
I did call them back to get things straight and «not» to my surprise, this time the lady picks up the call, trying to justify why they treated me this way. In her explanation, they’ve had experience with some people who wasted their time and didn’t do business with them (lucky ones, I say). Looks like these people lack basic business acumen and don’t know the word «customer service». I’m sure there are all kinds of people in this world. But that is no reason to judge others who put a price tag on their and other’s time, to be treated the same way.

I’ve been meaning to review YMA for a while now, but a recent example of the exceptional service, follow-​up and attention to detail provided by this small TriValley business needs a special Unilocal shout-​out!
Like every year for the past several years, we did our tax returns this spring with YMA — they were prompt, friendly, efficient, and saved us more money than we’d have by ourselves, for prices below what other tax return preparers would have charged.
Then a couple of weeks ago, I got a voicemail (AND email) from YMA, letting me know of some IRS tax law rule changes for anyone potentially holding bank accounts overseas (I’m originally from India) which necessitated my filing a new form. All I needed to do was give them some info, and they took care of the rest, BEFORE the deadline. Whew! Thanks for saving me a whole lot of trouble.
But I rest easy knowing that if I ever did need IRS representation, YMA is also qualified to serve in that capacity. I am glad they’re in my corner, keeping an eye out for my best interests throughout the year, not just during tax season!

Kali and Kash have saved me thousands of dollars over the past several years. They are focused on their clients and deliver dedicated, outstanding service at a reasonable price. I am starting a new business this year and will be asking them to provide accounting and payroll services as well as tax preparation.

You don’t get this kind of service anymore — they are very warm and personal and they took the time to listen and understand the nuances of my specific situation.
