The store is starting to look better than it did. Doors on the coolers and the restrooms were remodeled as well.

The store isn’t bad but the clerks at checkout look at you as if you are a piece of shit and do not belong in their store. Plus they are the rudest people when they talk to you. «Hey assholes, I do not have to go to this store so shove your rude comments up your ass.»

Came here because it was convenient! ! Always pretty empty and slow !! At least you don’t have to worry about lines! They have ok Deli selection It’s not like Safeway but it will have similar things to hold you off until you have time to go shopping latter. They don’t ever have any great sales !

We actually call this place ‘Suckies’ because it’s the worst grocery store we’ve been to in the area. High prices, low quality foods and service. Almost no healthful food options. Very limited organic section. We only go here for emergencies.

My first time ever at a Lucky Supermarket. This store is bigger inside than it looks from outside. The store was clean. They were stocked with most of the regular items I’d find at their competitors store. The prices were good. I’d shop here again.

Found some maggots in my «fresh» strawberries last summer. :(I opened the new pack and immediately tossed them. I always find produce sub par.

I have always hesitated to shop here. In fact it’s always my last choice for grocery shopping but sometimes it’s just on the way home and it’s just for one or two items which always turns into $ 45-$ 50 worth of stuff. But if your looking for cheap, off brand items, several steps above the dollar store, you might shop here regularly. I don’t. I hesitate to shop here mostly because of the staff. I’m going to be really harsh here and I’m apologizing in advance. But this staff or quite typical of most lucky stores, the staffs are 80−90% ‘rougher around the edges’ then at other grocery stores. Grocery store work is hard work, no doubt, but must they hire people who act like they’ve just driven 100 miles of bad road? Meat dept couldn’t care less that their dept stinks up 1⁄3 of the store with four day old fish smell. The vegetable dept usually looks depleted and like the produce manager gets some sort of kick back from the ‘winter roots’ producers(if there are such things.) If you don’t want a potato look we have five varieties, try a beet? Or maybe an Apple, we have six varieties of those. The checkers are more concerned that their little red baskets don’t leave the store, then the $ 50 worth of items I was paying for and taking to my car, because I forgot my bag. Sorry, truly my bad, but not like I’m the only one whoever does that. Uhm, for the record, I’ve returned your little basket two other times in past. Hey? Here’s a novel idea, a new way to improve your already deplorable service, why not offer to walk the client out to their car with the items in the basket? You know how they would at say Gene’s down the street?!? So tonite there are six people in line at the ‘self-check out’ I don’t have a bag. I’m parked in the spot next to the handicapped spot, and I’m reminded several times I’m not allowed to take their precious basket. Okay. Then you can return those cold items back to your shelves and I’ll not darken your door step again. Over $ 50 worth of stuff and the fact your staff can’t come up with a clever idea around this problem, or is it the manager that cant empower his employees to think for themselves??? It really does not matter to me, because Genes is just as happy to take my money and do it smiling!

We stopped by this store to pick up some last minute gift cards. We selected our cards right away and were in line within minutes of walking into the store… but…we waited and waited in the long ars line for 10 minutes(felt like 30) because they had one(one!) cashier working. And of course, as luck would have it, right when we were 1 person away from the front, another line opens up and takes the NEXT person in line(which was us btw) but of course, dude cashier takes the person two people behind us.

Boycott THIS Lucky’s Supermarket location — already! Store’s Management here at THIS particular Lucky’s = total failure = sucks! Therefore, the cashiers who work up from = sucks too! Excluding Pharmacy employees, everyone else here has a mentality of pea based on the customer service I’ve received in the past/present. Also, IF, you are NOT Caucasian, you get a horrible customer service. Apparently, some cashiers are till this day, stuck in the WWII era. Go figure. Some examples: Guy 1: Caucasian, Bald(no hair), mid 20’s to early 30’s, glasses, tall, slim = NOT very friendly towards non-Caucasian people. [There’s only one guy that fits this description!!] Note: This guy was also working on November 7th, 2012 between 5:30 — 5:35 pm with reg checkout #1(closer to the self checkouts). Guy 2: [This happened on December 13th, 2011. ] Older Caucasian, dark brunette hair and mustache, mid 40’s, his g/f visits during non-break time and the two gives smooches right in front of customers. Also, this guy has no clue how the Deli food are calculated when purchasing 3 drum sticks for $ 4.51(Deli dept already calculated the price for me right on the paper bag), but this guy thought, each drum stick x3 should have been $ 4.51 each so for 3 of a grand total of $ 13.53! I refused to buy 3 drum stick chicken at $ 13.53. lol Note: I could have just gone to KFC. Woman 3: [This happened on July 10th, 2012 — 5:45pm-6:10pm] Mid 40’s, Caucasian woman, chunky, dark brunette hair, shoulder length worn down, loud, obnoxious, very rude, unprofessional, ignorant, customer service skills = failed, doesn’t like non-Caucasian seeing I was mistreated, but this woman treated more fairer with customers with the same race as her. Note: We are living in the year 2012NOT1940’s! Update on March 22nd, 2014: During checkout, I learned that the women I described above. her Name is, DONNA. Even a year had gone by and she still treats me the same way. Reminds me of, ABC’s What would you do scenario, which I found on Youtube( ). I’m NOT a Mulism, but, I am Asian and I think WE should get the same friendly customer service/treatments as any other customers who shop at Lucky’s regardless of someone’s Race/Color/Gender/Age, etc: It seems like my husband gets excellent service from this Lucky’s only because he’s Caucasin and I’m referring to few Cashiers only, NOT everyone who works here falls into the category, but I think due to poor Management skills, some people needs to be rotated around, perhaps toilet cleaning, away from customers. Note: Visited here again tonight on November 7th, 2012 between 5:30 — 5:35pm to buy 2 Dreyers Ice cream. The lady, Donna, was working at the self checkout lanes [Employee # is 2504 on my receipt]. Thankfully, check out #1 has been broken down so the lady didn’t give me any BS tonight although she was VERY friendly towards non-Caucasian customers, which is just SO wrong! Donna is just ignorant is all. At the same time, the cashiers are really a «Hit or a Miss» because when I walked in between 11:45am to 12:15pm on Oct 17th, 2012 — I had seen some regular Cashiers that I thought were very professional and the 3 cashiers who I had an unprofessional encounter [see above] weren’t there = Thank God!

We waited close to 20 minutes in a checkout line that moved like John Candy through an obstacle course. Our checker and the checker next to her had the world’s longest conversation about«why should she work harder, not like she gets rewarded for it». When she didn’t know the price of a produce, instead of asking a bagger to look for her, she walked halfway across the store with the item to look at the price. She walked as fast as she worked. We all watched her… it was great. There’s nothing more exciting on a Sunday afternoon than to have buyer’s remorse on going grocery shopping instead of being a sloth on a lawnchair by the pool. Some pencil pusher at Lucky’s corporate is fashioning his necktie into a noose right now. The cheaper prices approved based on his analysis got us to make the longer drive, but it was more than offset by the subpar shopping experience. Next time, cheaper ribeye steaks or not, Safeway wins.

welcome back lucky and good riddance albertsons! YAY! what a huge difference lucky makes. the prices are so much lower and with no need for a club card. the staff is always very friendly and always seem to be everywhere. the produce and meats are incredibly fresh and stocked to the fullest. i’m amazed by the freshness of pretty much everything. they definitely care about the customer and their future success will show this. the best part about this lucky is i can just wake up and roll in looking like crap with my shades and hat pulled low. i just grab what i need and heat to the automatic checkout and ring up my own groceries. it’s a really nice thing to have on those days you don’t want to deal with anyone. i look forward to spending my years shopping at lucky and it’s really good to have a childhood favorite back!
