Bad reviews on Google but I still decided to go unfortunately lol. The cashier chick seems like she needs to get laid. Ordered a bean and cheese burrito and it came out super fast! Why? That shit was hella undercooked to the point the shredded cheese looked refrigerated and not melted. Still ate it tho haha

I know this place is a staple in the Pleasanton area but I think all the family owned ambience has left this place along with the quality and taste of the food. First for me the the starting point for me on great Mexican food is the chips and salsa well there chips and salsa begins with stale chips and watered down bland salsa. Next I have given this place a try several times and it never delivers. What I guess is a turn off is that nothing really tastes fresh partially because they keep most stuff just heated up all day like a cafeteria. This leaves items like their beans and rice almost inedible especially towards the end of the day. The other day I ordered carnitas from here now I get that different people cook them different ways, but these were literally like 3 pieces of fried sliced pork nothing I have ever tasted before and no flavor. Again beans bland and rice was actually crusty from sitting around all day. Plus the lady after I ordered my food I know was not to happy about me ordering the carnitas only because she proceeded to use some slang Spanish that I do understand about«gringo», «stupido» and carnitas all in the same sentence. Oh well… no sweat off my back I just want ever be giving this place another $$ of mine. I truly do know what great Mexican food does taste like and this isn’t it. Too bad because I am sure this place was founded on some hard working people that unfortunately now have lost their foundation.

Being an Alameda county baby, Pleasanton was my first home. It’s changed quite a bit over the last decade but glad to see El Molino still going strong. El Molino was my dad and grandpa’s original go to spot and the owner still recognizes them anytime they walk in. His sons have taken over the business and the two items I love have stayed pretty consistent. Cheese enchiladas and chili verdes. GETTHEFREAKINCHILIVERDES!!! Awesome to see businesses like these continue to survive while 2nd and 3rd tier chains keep brainwashing millennials.

Good thing I was hungry or else I wouldn’t have even eaten half. I got the carne asada super burrito and it was mediocre at best. To start off, the burrito wasn’t even warm! It tasted like it had been out for 20 – 30 minutes! The carne asada was pretty bland. The rice, beans, cheese, and sour cream were ok. I was unaware of there being any salsa in the burrito but ½ way through I crunched into a couple large pieces of onions that ruined the whole meal for me. Two stars for it being somewhat edible and filling.

Gone downhill since I lived in Pkessanton, which is many years ago now. Food was so so, not homemade tasting like 15 – 20 years ago. Can no longer recommend since there are so many good taqueria type places to eat in the area now

This is just what I want when I go for a quick Mexican fix! Nothing fancy or expensive. Just good food at a good price. The guac was really good as well as my fish tacos and homemade salsa. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town.

They charged me 6.99 for a bean and cheese burrito. The menu says 3.65? The second time this has happened with two different items.

I stopped by for lunch a few days ago. Order a carne asada burrito price was ok. Also some chips and salsa .but when i got up to get a straw, i saw the older gentleman pouring someone’s leftover salsa onto a clean bowl and mixed up with fresh salsa. The he brought it out to my table with the chips!!! Seriously what kind of restaurant is this. That is plain disgusting i wonder what other thing they reuse. I did not eat the burrito, i just walk out and not planing to come back ever. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

A bean and cheese burrito, carne asada burrito and a soda…$ 17.19. We were not charged the prices on the menu. The bean and cheese burrito was a sloppy mess and the carne asada burrito was nasty. Don’t eat here.

I’ve ordered food from here a few times. The first time, I was impressed and even told a few people about the place and recommended they try it! The second time, the food wasn’t very impressive, but I chalked it up to them having an off day. It happens. The third and fourth time, it just got progressively worse and worse. This latest time, I got a carne asada burrito with beans, cheese, meat guac and sour cream. They somehow managed to put a little sour cream ONLY in the middle of the burrito. Not kidding, 3 small bites had sour cream and that’s it. For those of you like sour cream and feel that it adds to the overall taste of the burrito, I’m sure you can understand my disappointment, considering I spent $ 13 on a burrito and chips that weren’t very good. Another thing to note is that the meat had no seasoning at all. I was very bland. Again, maybe they were having an off day? I don’t know. But out of my five experiences here, only one has been positive. Lastly, I’m not sure what was going on with the chips, but they weren’t crunchy; they were chewy. Yes, chewy. I think they took them out of the fryer too early or something(??) Anyway, it looks like I’m going to be looking for a new Mexican Restaurant to get my Mexican food fix…

It’s decent. I have been here twice and I have noticed both times the taco and burrito are pretty soggy.

Worst Mexican food I’ve ever had!!! Very over priced as well!!! Ordered a carne asada burrito and taco. Burrito was under filled, 50% lettuce(wtf is lettuce doing in a regular burrito from a taqueria). Zero flavor from the meat, cheese was ordered, almost non existent in the burrito. And here is my number 1 reason for 1 star review. THEYDONOTHAVEHOTSAUCEOFANYKIND!!! What kind of burrito place doesn’t offer even 1 sauce!!! The taco was the worst taco I’ve ever had as well. Soggy corn tortilla that was extremely oily! Meat was ok, but once again 50% lettuce, and whole beans in the taco. Couldn’t even eat the whole thing as it felt like I was eating oil that sat in the bottom of a deep fryer. Overall summary: do not eat here, a taqueria that has no flavor or hot sauce. It’s worse then Taco Bell at the price of a restaurant. Be prepared to pay $ 15 dollars for half your food to be lettuce.

It’s edible. Got a tostada salad bowl for lunch. Lettuce was fresh. Carne asada meat was not particularly moist. Tostada shell, beans, sour cream, and guacamole were all okay. Around $ 9. No salsa bar. Chips upon request? Sodas and beer in the fridge. Service was okay. Better choices nearby include Los Pericos or Taquiera El Gallo.

This place has been around for some time now. I came here one afternoon with my bosses, they felt like mexican food. I don’t believe I’ve ever eaten here before that… I’m usually going to Nation’s next door. Anyways, when we got there, there wasn’t really anyone in there… maybe a few tables with people at most. You walk up order and they bring the food to you. I ordered crunchy chicken tacos with beans and rice. It was okay, nothing to really remember or write home to. The place just seems a little… tired. They have a weird freezer thing next to the register. Maybe they sell ice cream? I don’t even really know. If my bosses wouldn’t have come here, i don’t think I’d come here on my own. There are too many other mexican restaurants/taqueria’s in the area to dine at.

I didn’t even know this place existed until I stopped in one afternoon with Ting. The burritos are ridiculous in size. It’s a good thing I went a la carte instead of going for the full meal. I immediately cut my burrito in half and saved the rest for later. Prices are reasonable and they have a decent spot to sit if you’re so inclined. Staff are friendly as well. It’s a pretty tiny place so I’m sure if it’s busy, you might not find a seat. It’s typical taqueria fare.

Not my favorite by far. — No customers. — Chips & salsa not free, $ 1. — Chips tasted old and stale. — Salsa was tasteless. — water glass dirty, water kept in a plastic container, clean? Eats: Carne Asada Burrito(8.00) — Not much meat. — meat tasted rubbery and chewy, old? — they put lettuce in the burrito, why? — The meat and burrito was full of pepper… yuck! — Burrito was warm at best. My buddy’s stomach hurt after eating his burrito. Never again… never. On a lighter note: The man behind the register was nice, owner or manager?
