So… I was excited about checking this place out! I needed to pick up a bunch of supplies for my art classes. but unfortunately, this place is now non-existent. The building it was in is not even there anymore. Just an empty lot in the middle of Main street. I was bummed! So do not try to check this place out. cause you will not find it!

I like this place — I’ve been there with a couple of friends and have tried mosaics and pottery painting. I’ve found the staff to be a mix of knowledgeble and helpful people(both older and younger) and really annoying and useless(both older and younger). As for the prices… well…I’ve been to much more expensive places. The satisfaction of actually having created something cool without having to go out and buy all your supplies(not to mention kiln) is worth the price for me. Plus you can go have lunch and leave your work there until later… or another day. Addendum: Went there with a friend and her 2 and 4 year old children. We made clay objects that we can return and either glaze or paint with acrylic. Definitely suitable for the younger crowd too!

It is conveniently in Downtown Pleasanton, but aye, there is a rub. The staff consists of preppy teenagers and the owner’s spoiled twelve year old. The staff is overly«friendly» in that degrading high-voiced way. You know it. I know it. They know it. But, the problem is, once you see the prices for what you are doing, your heart will skip two beats, I lie to you not. Doing a collage? They sell things you can glue on the page– like retro scrabble letters(1.50 per letter) or ‘antique keys’(2.00 each). The cost to do anything there is expensive. The place is often crowded with kids, which is cool, but you know how kids can get. Over all, this place is okay if you want to do something. If you don’t take anything from the buckets, you should be only slightly shocked by the price. I’m not saying the place is bad, I’m just saying that there are flaws.

What a cute little shop — and in downtown Pleasanton! Finally, something other than a restaurant has come to town! This place is fun for all ages. It’s a great place to shop for gifts too — what grandparent, auntie, uncle, mom or dad wouldn’t want a homemade gift from their favorite child? Tons of ceramics to choose from! You can also make beaded necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc. Don’t want to paint or make beads? Then, there are other art-y projects that the staff can help you with! I took my boys here(both at 15 months) and they had a great time painting. They ate a few bites too(non-toxic paint), but they had a fun time. The place has high chairs to contain the younger children, but they also have tables for small customers too. They can arrange for parties — small and large — but call ahead. Thinking too hard about those gifts you need to buy? How about a gift from the heart!
