Great sandwiches, sides & cookies! Reuben is made with house made corned beef — delicious & tender. Fajita wrap tasty with a good level of spice & lots of veggies. Sides made to order full of flavor. We had the potato salad & broccoli/bacon both great. Finished with a fresh chocolate chip cookie! Worth the few miles off the highway!

Stopped in for a quick bite at lunch. Small place and was quite full at lunch. Had the grilled cheese special and it was tasty. Not a melty cheesy mess — more on the healthy side. Friendly server though a bit absent minded. Ordered an iced coffee to go and it was delicious. Bought some homemade chocolate chip cookies to snack on later and they were soft and chocolately. Glad other Unilocalers posted so I knew to give it a try!

Great food and friendly service. The fresh flowers in the restroom were a nice touch!

We ate at Pleasant Thyme Café for the first time earlier this week. We went later in the afternoon, so we had the dining room to ourselves for most of our meal. I could see that during peak times eating in might be an issue due to the small dining space. We each had a sandwich, a side, and fruit tea. The Reuben was delicious, and the broccoli salad was divine. My fella said that the French Dip was super good, and his creamy zucchini soup was also very tasty. The fruit tea was amazing, and thankfully our server(whom I believe was also the restaurant owner) sent us home with to-go cups full of the heavenly nectar. We took a piece of Hello Dolly Cheesecake home, and it was out of this world, too. I can’t wait to go back! This was one of the best lunches I’ve had in a very, very long time. Thank you, Pleasant Thyme Café!

If you are near Ashland City, Tennessee, this little establishment is worth a visit! Sitting about 6 miles North of Frey and Highway 12, Pleasant Thyme’s menu offers hot and cold sandwiches and wraps of various kinds. The neat thing is this, for breakfast, they will take the aforementioned and make omeIetes! I tried the ham, cheese and bacon wrap(transformed into an omelet). Tomatoes, spinach, capers, Pepper jack, dried tomato pesto wrapped into three eggs… Like«Muttley» floating in air I was! Excellent food, good service and great coffee: worth a pit stop.

The best little place in town! The food is always so fresh and they change up their menu often! The desserts are amazing and the fruit tea is the bomb! If you are ever wanting a nice little spot to have lunch or grab some coffee, this is definitely worth a try!

Absolutely, hands-down, my favorite place to eat in Pleasant View. Super cute, family-owned café with gourmet flair. Each day they have a special that gets you a sandwich, side and a drink(choose their to-die-for fruit tea) for $ 7.25. Try the broccoli salad for your side! Everything is made fresh too. Soups, sammies, quiches, salads, wraps, smoothies, specialty coffees too. Yum. Must. Go. Now.

Had the Chicken Gumbo and a grilled cheese sandwich. It’s pretty standard for a rural Tennessee restaurant to take your wife to for lunch. I’d return, and look forward to exploring more of the menu on future visits. Wish it had more seating(this is a real problem, the place holds less than 20 seats total) and more sunlight, as the places seems dark and dank. It sits between a tanning salon and hair salon, but amazingly enough doesn’t stink of perms and hair products.

A great cozy place to have coffee or lunch with friends. It brings you back to simpler times when small family owned businesses served great homemade food with a very good price…

Delicious! I had the roasted chicken panini with pesto and Gouda cheese. I also recommend the French Dip as I had a bite and it was great! Worth the 3 minute drive if you are looking for a quick lunch off i24.

I’ve been to the café one other time before today. The food was good but hours of operation are not that great so we don’t get much chance to eat there. It’s Friday and I have the day off. My daughter-in-law and I went to Pleasant Thyme Café. She had never eaten there. There are four tables, four chairs at the counter and a sofa. All the tables were filled by the time we got there before noon. We came in without so much as a «Hi» or glance from the girl behind the counter. We sat down at the only available space which was the sofa. We waited… & waited for an acknowledgement that we were there. My daughter-in-law walked up and asked for a menu. The young girl behind the counter just pointed at them. She didn’t say a word. We sat on the sofa and looked through the menu. We decided what we wanted, but 20 minutes of being in the café, there was still no acknowledgment that we were there. That was when I decided no matter how good the food, this place did not deserve our business. Owner of Pleasant Thyme, I hope you’re reading this. Erin is a horrible employee.(I heard her tell someone her name after they had been calling her Emily.) She needs to be trained in how to treat a potential customer. Because you just lost one for good. Maybe it doesn’t matter to you but Pleasant View deserves better.

First off, the fruit tea is uh-MAZE-ing. I had the ham and swiss with pasta salad, and it was delicious. Last, but not least, I had the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. It was so good, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal. ;-)

I order take out from them about once a month. Love the soups, veggie panini, and the daily specials. The cheesecake is also delicious.

I would have loved to give this place four or even five stars because I do like their food. But the service is terrible. I’m not sure who told the owners that it is appropriate to yell at paying customers, but obviously someone has. I have been to Pleasant Thyme many times. I like the food. It’s great to have this in a small town with few choices. I promised I wouldn’t go back after Suzie yelled at me because I wasn’t fast enough getting my debit card out. But, I went again because the choices are slim in PV. Guess what, more yelling. Then I hear from others that not only does she yell, but that her husband has yelled at them also. Really, your food isn’t good enough. I guess they are the think they are the sandwich nazis(Seinfeld reference). I won’t go back, this time I mean it. And, Pleasant Thyme, if there was even one other place to give you even a little competition, you would have no business.

Food is superb. I honestly believe the waitress had never waited tables before today but she tried… sorta. The Chef always has a lunch special of the day that includes soup or side, sandwich or wrap and a drink for $ 6.5. There is not a large selection but something worth trying. The place is in an old small strip mall at the corner of Highway 49 and Old Clarksville Highway and the outside is a bit dingy, but go on in! inside is clean and comfortable. They have coffee and tea aslo.

I really like this place even though the food is overpriced. It has great sandwiches, soup, quiche, salads that you can’t get in any of the other local restaurants. They have great desserts as well. Hope they stay around for a long time.

Great little soup and sandwich place, where you’d least expect to find it — in a tiny little strip mall kind of thing attached to a gas station. The food is «downtown Nashville» lunch fare. Try the tomato basil bisque(always on the menu) or one of the panini sandwiches. Top if all off with some of their homemade cheesecake(huge slices, made daily) and a fairly decent cup of coffee.
