I don’t know about haircut, but don’t come here for nails. The lady did a terrible job! Don’t waste your money.

I always have a good experience here. I have been coming for years and I have had no problems. The only thing that is a little eh, is that they only accept cash. So I have to go to the nearby credit union to take out cash. But overall great place for all family members.

Excellent place to get a hair cut done. It’s cheap, quick and they understand the kind of style you want. I’ve been going to perfect cuts pleasant hill for a year now and will continue to do so in future as well!

First off, I want to point out that this place is a cash-only businesses. If you do not have cash on hand, there is a liquor store next door with an ATM inside. I love this place. Up until a few years ago, I never knew this place existed until a friend told me about it, and I haven’t stopped coming here since. $ 11 + tip for a haircut is a deal, especially when places like Supercuts are charging $ 25 nowadays. I’ll usually do a #1 on the sides and back, slightly longer on the top with a high-fade and it always comes out perfectly. Everybody here is pretty friendly. On occasion, this place can get pretty busy but things move pretty quickly. Parking usually isn’t an issue, but on the weekends it can get pretty packed. As long as I live in this area, I will keep coming back here, and I will continue referring people to try this place out.

$ 11 haircut and they know how to cut Asian hair, and I think that actually is a thing. I had to wait maybe 3 minutes, and the haircut only took 15 – 20 minutes, which is all it should take. They also didn’t butcher my sideburns, which the barbershops in WC have all done. I was going to give it 4 stars, but there really isn’t anything more I wanted from the haircut.

I decided to go here because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a trim. This place has good reviews so I figured I’d check it out. I told the hairdresser I only wanted a trim and to take off 3 inches of dead ends. She didn’t listen to me and cut off more like 8 inches of my hair. She seemed to be in a rush and cut my hair in less than ten minutes. The worst part is she cut one side shorter than the other. You get what you pay for I guess.

My dad has been coming here for past year and he always says nice things about this place! He likes that they are quick, good, & nice ppl. For the price paid, the haircuts are a great value! This time it was a little too short but hey! Hair grows lol!

$ 11 for a haircut and done in 15 minutes. Every time you come in «please sit down, won’t be long, you’re next» with 5 people sitting down but they move quick

Great place, reasonable price and very good with the kid. My little one is just shy of two years old and did not even cry this haircut. That is a first, very gentle on his head. Excellent value for $ 11 + tip. New customer for life.

~ CASHONLY ~ I have long thick hair with long layers(and tons of cowlicks) throughout but it had been quite a while since my last trim. I’m ALWAYS hesitant when I try someone new because people tend to take several inches off to give me a shoulder length cut even though I ALWAYS tell them just an inch :/ My hair didn’t look bad before I showed up. but it didn’t look great either(a solid 1 inch of dry ends). So with vay~cay coming up, I most definitely wanted to get my hair looking good with fresh cut/color. I walked in just as a man was walking out with his haircut. HIS hair was PERFECTLY blended into a little longer on top(just like my son likes his). He said that«Jennifer» is the only one that he lets cut it; looked perfect(literally). Jennifer ended up doing a good job on my long locks and even trimmed(ie fixed) my bangs and now my hair has long fresh looking layers which really makes my color(done yesterday) look Great! The haircut is nothing fancy(no complaints here), but for $ 13 to cut my long THICK hair into clean layers = Wow, the price can NOT be beat! I will most definitely be back AND my son will be getting his haircut by Jennifer from now on *smiles* Thank you fellow Unilocalers for sharing such a Cool Deal!

If you’re a man but don’t need a man shop with nostalgic barbershop paraphernalia to make you feel masculine about getting a haircut come here. Pros: 1. $ 11 + tip 2. Knows how to cut«Asian hair» 3. Efficient and quick. 4. Impressed because of the cowlicks on my head it usually takes someone several tries before learning how to cut my hair. Suggestion: 1. Allow customers to make appointments. More efficient for everyone!

Through the recession and back, their men’s haircut stayed at $ 11. And its not this reason why I kept coming back to Perfect Haircuts & Nails. It because they always get my hair the way I want it every time. Sure its a 30 mind. drive out for me, but they have been cutting my hair good for such a long time that I don’t even consider looking for some place closer.

My brother recommended this place to me when I mentioned I was going to get a haircut and boy, am I glad he did. A men’s haircut was just $ 11, and I didn’t have to wait even five minutes for it. The cut itself was well done and very speedy and the employees were friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be going here for my haircuts from now on!

Best inexpensive haircut anywhere! Great cut regardless of price, but it’s nice that the price is so good.

Didn’t need a reservation for this place, next to the Grocery Outlet, in the not so pleasant part of Pleasant Hill. That was a joke. Even the not so pleasant part of Pleasant Hill is still quite pleasant! I waited about 5 minutes, then I was greeted by an Asian woman. I sat down and she cut my hair EXACTLY the way I requested: about shoulder length, layers, long enough to pull into a ponytail, adjust the part so it doesn’t look so sharp. It was super quick. I got a few compliments about my hair, which looked a lot nicer once it grew out a little. I wish she thinned it out more, since it’s so darn thick, but I didn’t ask her to do that! She was very nice and there was no «attitude» that you see with some haircutters. Only $ 13 + $ 2 tip. What a bargain! :)

Quick, cheap, and good enough! Men’s haircut: $ 11 This little shop is in the strip mall that is the low brow part of Pleasant Hill, what with a St Vincent De Pauls, Goodwill store, cheap Asian eats, etc. You can walk in here, ask for a haircut, and have enough left from your $ 20 to get a bowl of noodles next door. It is Vietnamese owned, and they do women and men. Toy(actually, Troai) was my cutter, and she just came over form Vietnam maybe within the last 10 years. She was very efficient, and did a good job. I usually have my Mom cut my hair. She used to be a licensed Cosmetologist(actually, I learned a lot, because I took the written test with her, as her reader so she can better understand the multiple choice questions written in English only). So a good way to make sure I visit Mom regularly, was to go visit every 6 weeks for a haircut. But she is 2 hours away and I have been traveling and hadn’t been to Monterey in over 2 months! My hair was starting to look like my old days of youth going to Berkeley! But alas, in desperation, I came here on a lark(actually, I used Unilocal) and I will go back again when I can’t get down to Monterey. Cam on Toy!

As a guy… I’m looking for a quick and cheap haircut short enough that I don’t have to go every week. This is the spot. Great fades for just barely more than free! In and out in typically less than 10 – 15 minutes. You can stop by on your lunch break, get a hair cut and still have time to snag some lunch. All the staff is very friendly! Just remember to bring cash… Or if you forget like me the liquor store next door will give cash back on a small purchase…

I got a cut here because one of the reviewers said that this place knew how to cut asian hair. For $ 11. I got a good haircut. Not perfect. I had to do a small touch up myself, but for the price, this place is worth going to. The wait was longer than I am use to about 25 minutes.

Fellow Unilocalers recommended this place, so when my hair started looking bad, I tried them. Walking is was fine and they were very pleasant. The lady asked me about my hair before starting and she understood how to cut it. First she trimmed using a comb and the electric cutter. Then, she trimmed more with the scissors for the final touch. The real test is the next day, because you have to do your own hair. If it was not cut right, you will see it in the mirror. This cut passed the 2nd day, 3rd day, and 4th day test!

i’ve been looking for a cheap local place where the people know how to cut asian hair, and i think i found it. I got what i asked for(brought a picture in) and they only charge $ 11. I thought those prices existed only in chinatown! the older lady in there cut my hair, but i think all of the people in there do a pretty good job. all of the customers i saw walked out happy. cash only, btw.
