I just moved to the area so time to see whats out there. This place is less then a ½ mile away so I expected some hot food fast. WRONG. I had a fire going so I did not want to leave. I ordered 4 items, Lemon chicken, crab Rangoon, Broccoli beef and shrimp. I had it delivered for almost 5 buck and it was down the street. It took over 45minutes and was COLD. the crab rangoons were so burnt that there cheese inside was dried up and hard. It was the worst food I have ever eaten. I walked back to the restaurant and demanded a refund. Of course the man(owner) started arguing with me. So I opened up all of the boxes and told him to eat it. Then the wife came in and I told her to eat it. They both refused. Then I explained how I would have come there often because of how close it was. But not now. I also explained to them I work to hard to be charged over 40bucks for the most un edible food. The owners just looked at me. I told them they should be ashamed. I finally got my money back and will NEVEREVER go or recommend to anyone… Such a waste

Until I think the food has changed I will have to keep this review at 1 star. Terrible. I have had some pretty bad chinese food in my day, but this one takes the cake. I started off trying a pot sticker-tasted HORRIBLE! Like the oil was old or they used the same pan to cool fish. If your pot sticker tastes terrible and has a hint of fish… you know that its all down hill from there when it comes to Chinese takeout. Got orangle peel chicken and some chow mein. Both were bland and terrible. Owners: fix your food

This place is A+++ Nice place. Try the honey walnut prawns. They have never disappointed me in all the time of going there.

Had Peking Boy delivered for a company lunch meeting. Yuck would be my word to describe it. A bit greasy on the egg rolls, pot stickers were a little doughy. The rice will get an O.K. No way did I try the Mongolian Beef.

Ordered off of Grubhub, didn’t pay attention to my order request. I had asked for Fried Rice without Egg and they had put Egg in it anyways. I also ordered the Mushroom, Snow Pea, Water Crests Vegetable Mixture. It was okay. I probably won’t order from them again.

Chicken dishes come with the sauce on the side which explains the chicken texture being as if it came out from under a heat lamp. Food is not fresh.

Ordered for delivery early on Tuesday evening. It took about 45 minutes to be delivered. Ordered the orange chicken since so many people said it was great. It was disgusting-greasy/slimy with terrible aftertaste. Fried rice was dry, cool(temperature), and also had the same horrible aftertaste as the orange chicken. steamed BBQ pork buns were also gross-bun part was ok, but BBQ pork part was gross. Like someone else said, it was just off. Only the pot stickers were decent, and I could have made Ling Ling at home for a lot less. I can’t believe I paid so much and waited so long for such disgusting food. If I had eaten in, I would have sent the food back to the kitchen and left. It really was *that* bad.

This is our go to place for Chinese food. We usually get food delivered. It’s not the fastest delivery service but the guy is apologetic every time. The food is pretty awesome. We get the same thing every single time(if it’s not broken don’t fix it). We get Hong Kong style chow mein with chicken, curry chicken, green onion lamb, brown rice and pot stickers. I went into the restaurant for the first time today to order food and the place is definitely not meant for eat in. Sure they have tables set up but they also have the warehouse pretty much in the dining room. It’s not very attractive inside but do not let that take away from great food.

Peking Boy has won my heart many times, and I’ve never even set foot inside the restaurant! I am a huge fan of their delivery service, discovered years ago when a friend and I were delighted to hear they would deliver all the way out in Martinez. Now that I live just up the street, the folks at Peking Boy are like reliable old friends. Their online ordering system is awesome, and they aren’t shy about presenting coupons that give you freebies based on the amount of food you order, beginning with a minimum order of $ 18 scoring you won tons or veggie soup. I usually fall in the next category — $ 28 gets you free egg rolls! And their egg rolls are delicious too — sometimes the freebie order comes with 2 rolls, sometimes 4. It’s free, so I will never complain. I’m a huge fan of their Hong Kong style chow mein, which I always order with chicken only and the order has always been accurate. And even though it’s $ 10 a pop, the Green Onion Lamb is DELICIOUS. I can also highly recommend their curry chicken, broccoli beef, General’s chicken, pork fried rice, garlic chicken and sautéed garlic broccoli. Another big plus is that steamed brown rice is an option. Delivery times can vary, sometimes it’s 20 minutes, sometimes well over an hour, so don’t wait until you’re starving to order and keep an open mind. But our delivery guy is always very friendly, and you can tell he appreciates regular customers. About 2 times a month, Peking Boy comes knocking at my door and I am always glad to enjoy! POTSTICKERRATING — 8⁄10! Just about perfect! Juicy pork n’ veggie filling, doughy wrapper fried on the bottom to perfection, and juicy when you cut in! My only criticism, if you can call it that, is that the container they come is lined with sliced cabbage which sticks to the ‘stickers and blahs them up. They’re quite safe inside their styro container, this little bit of flair really isn’t necessary for a takeout order.

Ugh. Horrible. Just horrible. I wanted to love it. Food arrived fast, hot and just as I ordered. And then reality. I ate only a few bites of everything I ordered. It all tasted off. Even the egg rolls. How is that possible? I think the oil was old or something. Left a horrible taste in my mouth from just one bite. I was sure I would get food poisoning. It really is that bad. The worst food I’ve had in a long time, and I am NOT a picky eater. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I also don’t want anyone to get sick off the food either.

Huge mistake ordering from them. I suppose it’s my fault for being lazy on a rainy Friday night not wanting to cook or go out looking for what to have for dinner. I went to and they were near my home. I ordered mongolian beef and requested no veggies plus extra meat for my fiancé. The delivery man came to my door with no change and on top of that hands me a tiny little box with meat. I thought it was the extra meat. It wasn’t. So I called them and asked where the rest of the meat was. They told me that was the order. My fiancé was mad and on top of that, he thought the meat was questionable and tasted like crap. NEVERAGAINWILL I ORDERFROMTHEM. THEYSUCK!!!

If I could give this no stars I would. Called in a phone delivery order and the person who answered was extremely rude! I was ordering for my coworker and I and had a few questions. Well apparently this employee had a smart ass answer for everything. Asked what kind of rice comes with the lunch special and his response was«There’s too many to list check the menu» Since I had looked up the menu on the phone I was using to call with I couldn’t do that but picked steamed rice as to avoid his continuing rudeness. After I told him my order he informed me I had to spend $ 20 to get delivery so I asked him to hold on while I asked my coworker what else to get well it toom him all about 5 seconds to hang up on me. Needless to say I will never call again nor am I even interested in finding out if their food is any good. The hunt for good Chinese delivery is still on…

The sesame chicken with pork fried rice is my favorite meal. Lunch is only $ 5.95 and it comes with a drink. The owners are friendly; Connie is a sweetheart. She nicknamed me Sesame Chicken. I take my family here every time they come to visit the bay area. This is the best chinese food in the east bay area and even better than the chinese places I’ve visited in Chinatown SF.

It is a Saturday night at 9:30. You have spent the whole day at a Cal football game with friends and did not really have dinner. You are staying at the Embassy Suites. The business hours say they close at 9:30 p.m. I called at 9:35 and asked if they were still taking orders and making deliveries. They were! Hurray. We ordered the Mongolian Beef and Vegetable Fried Rice. I was a bit disappointed when they said delivery could take 45 minutes; but, I had no other choice. Twenty two minues later a knock at the room door. The food had arrived. It was exactly what the doctor ordered. Hot, fresh and actually had some complex flavors. I would generally rate this a 3 but I am giving the extra star for speed of delivery. Thank you.

My order should probably be a three but I’ve ordered here many times in the past at an old place I lived at and they have always been good. The people are always so friendly(those that answer the phone and delivery). The food is tasty and the delivery is usually quick. Tonight it took a bit longer but I believe it was because I ordered online. They also have a lot of good deals(i.e. order more than $ 15 and get soup) and it doesn’t matter what you order for the minimum. It’s definitely one of my favorites for Chinese delivery.

This was actually some of the worst chinese food my wife and I ever had. We did get delivery, but it was not good at all. Everything tasted a bit off from«normal» chinese food. We ordered Beef Chow Mien and the sauce it was in was not good at all. the Generals Chicken was better than the chow Mien but still was not very good.

I’m giving four stars because I’ve eaten here several times with average — impressive results.(Example: had a modest dinner date with hubby here. Ordered enough food for three people, plus 2 sodas if I recall– and total tab including our tax & tip came out to around $ 30 — a very nice deal). The owners are friendly, and the place feels like an aging, but clean/comfortable diner.

Additions to this great lunch spot: 1. Their lunch special has been reduced a bit; still a good deal. 2. Last time there a friend bought the appetizer egg rolls(4), and got 3 — buy 4, get 3? Huh? Another friend also was missing his egg roll … times are tough! 3. I tried the sweet-and-sour pork a few visits back(I know, not real Chinese food); I wouldn’t recommend it.

That«1st» review isn’t even really a review?! Poser. Anyways, my ongoing saga for a cheap good chinese restaurant in the Pleasant Hill area. Note the key words are«cheap» and«good». Place is funny with the name. Even funnier is that the guy that runs it must have a son in high school or he’s pretty savvy/funny. A big sign out front proudly pronounces«Economic Stimulus Lunch Special». Now that’s hilarious! So, anyways, I wanted to try a new place. Cheap and hopefully good food. I pulled in to the parking lot and thought«Wow. That’s a really small restaurant. Uh-oh. Front door has a screen door. Not a good sign for ventilation.» It’s the first right after the Valero gas station. Slow down or be ready to pull high-g right turn into the lot! I get out the car, walk up, pull open the screen door and walk in. The screen door didn’t close behind me so I had to double-back and pull the door shut. No spring on the door.(Really bad sign) I sat down and saw that there were about 6 tables in the room with about 2 tables seating 2 people and 4 tables 4 people. That’s a total seating area of 20. Small place. Saw the $ 4.25 Peking Boy special plastered on each of the tables and decided to order that. $ 4.25 gets you an entrée, choice of fried rice, white rice or brown rice. Also, included is a free can of soda! No soup though. I figured I’ll order the healthiest dish so I ordered the Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and the brown rice(and a coke!). The plate came and it was a big plate. Here’s the quick breakdown. I think the chcken dish was no big deal. Sauce was very bland. Had mixture of cabbage, broccoli and carrots. Little bit of msg in there. Chicken possibly was marinated with baking soda to make it bigger and puffier. Yuck, I don’t like that. Brown rice? I knew it was too good to be true so I figured the brown rice was the reason I heard a microwave turn on and ding in the kitchen. They nuked me some old brown rice! Yuck. Finally old piece of egg roll that was drenched in sweet and sour sauce. It was edible and thank god for that can of coke to wash it all down. It was hot in there with the sun beating through the windows, no a/c, and the front door open. Don’t eat here when it’s hot! Sigh. The search continues. I get up to pay for the meal. Came out to $ 4.75. That’s under $ 5, but there’s better out there. Check my reviews. Walked outside to my car and turned on the a/c as soon as I got in. Whew! Hot. As I drive out the 1-way parking lot, I just realize how much worse the place is by who it’s next-door business is. It’s a… Wait for it… Wait for it… …Lingerie shop. Oy vey. Definitely a hole in the wall(with bad connotations). Did I mention I got a Coca Cola at least? :)
