Sad to say I’ve given this place more than enough chances and every time I eat here I always get a stomach ache. Booooo

Lets talk about the food first. I always get the BBQ Mix Plate. Its a good amount of tasty food for the price, not the best Hawaiian BBQ, but decent. The place is kinda divey and service is just ok. But Ohana is good place to grab something togo and enjoy at home.

This is our go-to place when we want something fast, cheap, and delicious! While this isn’t a gourmet restaurant by any means, their bowls are really filling(I recommend the BBQ Chicken or Loco Moco) and priced well. The full plates are also good and offer bigger portions of the meat, but instead of the mixed veggies in the bowls are substituted with shredded cabbage. Still yummy, but not as nutritious. The plates also come with a delicious Hawaiian macaroni salad. The employees are nice. The service is also usually very fast unless there’s an obvious big rush, but there’s not much you can do about that anywhere. I give it five stars because the BBQ Chicken/Beef, Spam Musubi, and Loco Moco are so delicious and well priced, but I wouldn’t recommend the fish menu items. Aside from the Chicken Katsu, Ohana’s fried wares aren’t all that great. Still, it’s easily one of my favorite places to run for lunch/dinner in Pleasant Hill!

For real 6:30 on a Monday and they closed… I see they have several other locations in the Bay Area and they are open. What a slap in the face this is. I live close by and had a crave for some Island flavors and they closed at 3PM. Will bypass this store from now on regardless of how close this is!!!

Good value and quality! Way to go Ohana! You’re my new favorite lunch place. I get the chicken bowl which has a decent amount of grilled chicken, veggies and rice! Yum! Beats that rip-off Chipotle’s any day!

I had lunch today at Ohana and I really enjoy this place. I’ve eaten here about a dozen times and really like the food. I had their House Special today(Lau Lau Combo) which was really good. The portions are good size and I never come away hungry. The staff there is also friendly greeting me with an «Aloha» when I walked into the restaurant. All in all a great place to eat.

Came here for dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday. When we walked in, we were not greeted right away even though there was a lady at the counter. Once we scanned the menu and figured out what we wanted, we stepped up to order. The lady taking our order was very quiet and very hesitant in what she was doing. My girlfriend ordered a chicken cutlet w/gravy bowl, but the lady was going to charge us for a full order. Luckily my girlfriend caught it and corrected her. I ordered the #1 — BBQ Mix Plate which had BBQ Chicken, Beef and Kalbi. The portions were large but the quality isn’t anything special. If you are very hungry and want something that will fill you up, order this. It came with a scoop of mac salad and 2 scoops of rice. The do not have a lot of options on the menu. Regular portions or bowl options(small).

Places like this that have their hours online that say they’re open and then you waste time out of your day to only find out that Mondays they close at 3 make me wanna puke. So many good restaurants out there. You get one shot with me and you totally lost it. Judging by the mediocre reviews they might have did me a favor.

I ordered the bbq beef plate with rice and macaroni salad. After eating a few bites I found a hair in my macaroni salad. I called and notified them of the finding and they said«oh I’m sorry we will do a better job at protecting the food»! So gross! What a waste oft money

Ordered the laulau combo… NOT onolicious… small portions for kaulua, tiny speck of fish, but large amount of fat in laulau. So disappointing to spend $ 9.71for this.

I don’t discriminate against Hawaiian BBQ. The only thing I didn’t like about my trip here is that they gave me some cold, gelatinous sauce to put over my rice. No bueno! The BBQ mixing is still and always will be my favorite. :) I like L and L better by the way, but this place will do considering I work in WC. The mac salad at L and L is 10 times better. Mac salad here is bland and watery.

I wish I could give this place a better review but the food was awful. The meat for both the chicken katsu and the beef ribs was really cheap. The ribs were all fat and very little meat, the meat was very chewy as well. I will not be back and don’t recommend :(

If it was for me I wouldn’t even give one star for the rating. I came here instead of going to Waikiki Hawaiian BBQ on Willow Pass Rd because this one was closer to me but never again will I return. I usually love to order the Hawaiian BBQ chicken. As I started to dig into my plate thinking that it was going to be great tasting food like the other place. Little did I know I was wrong the chicken was a little over the salty side. The macaroni salad was plain. I ordered my niece a Chicken Katsu and that was even worse. The chicken was very greasy. My niece could taste the grease as soon as she bit into the piece of chicken. My sister tried to tell them how we felt about the food we ordered and they say that everyone has a different taste. Never again shall I bring my family to eat here. I will continue to go to Waikiki BBQ on Willow Pass Rd in Concord Ca.

Terrible experience here this past wknd — this place has really gone down hill. The Spam musubi had super thin piece of spam and mostly rice, and the katsu saiman was bland and tasteless. Lastly, the employee there wasn’t very friendly or interested in customers have a good experience. This is too bad… I’d go there more if the food/service were better.

Long story short — nothing much here. Go find somewhere else to eat. While nothing I had was horrible or poor — not a thing was above average.

Let’s get straight to it. Service: 1⁄5 The guy looked like he hated his job. I came in, smiled at him, asked him what the mixed grill was and he just kind of gave a sigh and stopped looking at me. Wtf was that? Food: 3⁄5 I got the mixed grill. Chicken and beef was good. The short ribs were kind of chewy. The mac salad had too much mayo for my liking. Overall it was edible and I ate most of it. Portions were pretty good for the price. Cleanliness: 2⁄5 The man at the front, which I already complained about on the service, just started grabbing all the sriracha bottles and opening the caps and filling up the almost empty ones into the other ones. I didn’t see him wash his hands, even after handling money and whatnot. Who knows what else goes on over there. Overall: 2⁄5 I give this place 2⁄5 stars. Food was ok, but not good enough to justify the service. I don’t care if the man owns the place, is a worker, a relative, or what… your body language says a lot and it made us feel like you didn’t care for our business. I don’t give too many bad reviews, but congratulations front counter guy, you earned this one.

FOODWASBETTERTHANTHESERVICE I expect good service whether I’m at a sit down restaurant, or eating fast food in my car. So less than friendly employees make me not want to return places. I can get food lots of places. Smiles should be free. We stopped here for lunch because I’d been wanting to try it for so long and even though my husband’s not a fan of Hawaiian BBQ, I think he wanted me to stop asking to eat here. I had the seafood sampler and it was super good. Well, acutally just the fried shrimp were super good. The rest was good though. The super shrimp had a thick, crunchy and flavorful breading. I wish I’d gotten all shrimp. The grilled fish was better with some hot sauce. The macaroni it came with also took some hot sauce sriracha to liven her up, and the rice was just rice. Husband seemed happy with his chicken. While ordering, I mentioned to the guy that I’d never been here before. Guess he isn’t required to say anything in response, but a «let me know if you have any questions» would have been nice. Also didn’t get a smile when I went back to ask for another piece of lemon(because Butterfingers dropped hers on the floor). The only other time I’ve had Hawaiian BBQ was in Hayward. It was an Ono Hawaiian BBQ and was much better than this. Perhaps I’ll look for one of those around here next time.
