Sweet lady the counter. We came in rather late and they still took our order. Family owned. The crepes were phenomenal, specially the sweet ones, I also had a savory, the. chicken basil presto was also great. The boba was delicious it was freshly made, not packaged! Makes a difference folks !

My favorite place to go for a quick snack! The best customer service — the owners are incredibly friendly. I’m addicted to their boba teas… especially passion fruit. Ahh! Heaven. Love their crepes. My favorite is the nutella & banana. Grab a sandwich if you’re hungry! Turkey on a croissant… so good. Try Mango Star out! You won’t be disappointed.

The lychee tea with boba is delish! Great service, and free wifi(just ask for the code). I ordered the basil pesto crêpe(comes with a salad) again, delish! They need more business here!

Zero in the customer service dept! Zero in menu options! Zero in cleanliness! 1 for the smoothies. Otherwise dont waste your time here!

I’ve only had one boba drink here, but I’d like to go back to try a crêpe. I had the honey jasmine milk tea, with tapioca. It was yummy and prepared quickly. It’s definitely a small family place, but I think more people should give it a shot. I liked it. The price was good for the drink, and the prices for the crepes look good, too.

I hate the Unilocal reviews from folks that haven’t been to an establishment yet. But I’m reviewing one star because twice I’ve detoured off the freeway to try Mango Star and found them either closed mid-day(a poorly worded explanation on the door about an electrical problem in the kitchen?) or closing earlier than the hours posted on the website. So fellow Unilocalers may want to call ahead to confirm Mango Star is open. I’m hoping that when I do get a chance to try the smoothies and crepes, I’ll be so happy that I can write a five star review.(I’ll especially feel guilty as its a discount coupon that brings me in and it looks like a nice family running the place.)

This is a family owned business that used to be Bubble & Crepes. bubble & crepes had two locations, here and on Crescent Drive down the street, they closed down. I love the tapioca drinks here… always much better than quickly. I love Taro, and i hate that fake taro flavor. They use the powdered taro and it satisfies my taste buds quite nicely. They don’t charge extra for tapioca either! I’ve had their crepes which are also good, come with a salad.(savory) and i’m keen on trying all of the tapioca drinks on the menu. They make little things, like samples, and they offer them to people there to try. Sometimes they just bring me some snacks to munch on too. It’s a small store, run by mom behind the counter, grandma cooking food, grandpa doing the little store fix ups, and a young son that walks around after school(what a cutie!) I spend 10 hours a week there, 5 hours at a time. it’s very quiet there, good for me to study, sad for them cause of business. i see no reason why people wouldn’t go there instead of quickly… I really can’t stand quickly’s quality of drinks. It’s also insanely loud in there because some Asians haven’t learned speak in a quiet manner in public and cause they play movies really really loudly there. it’s a wonderful place to study or just catch up with a friend, it might be the location that keeps them from getting a lot of food traffic. Their food and drinks are really good, I hope to see this business succeed. Regardless, i will be going there as much as i can!

After reading Ivy R’s review, I realized that I had yet to try Mango Star. Also after reading Ivy R’s review, I had my heart set on the turkey croissant. I stopped in on Friday to pick up lunch. Unfortunately, they were out of the fixings for the turkey croissant and also out of the other sandwich special, the tuna melt. *Sad trombone sound* The woman was very apologetic, explained that both sandwiches were very popular, that their next delivery wasn’t expected until later that day and recommended a crêpe. I got the chicken crêpe and it was okay. I think I would have liked the sandwich more and plan to return to try again. I will go earlier in the week next time and hopefully beat the rush for the turkey croissant.

Ordered the Albacore Tuna Melt and the Turkey Croissant. Both were quite tasty. Owners were very nice. Go give them your business!

Shopping all day for consignment baby stuff makes you very hungry. Or being pregnant just makes you hungry. I don’t know which one to blame. I figured a good smoothie could hold me over until I got home in a few minutes of driving. What I didn’t figure was that I would really want a Turkey Croissant Sandwich. Because I really did want that Sandwich, and a smoothie! The Turkey Croissant comes with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Mayonnaise with Bacon. I also ordered a lovely Peach Patch smoothie. With Pearls. Being that I’m not lactose intolerant for another 3 months or so I’m living the milk life, with Pearls. My smoothie was up first and I sat and waited for my sandwich. Grandma brought my sandwich out of the back and yelled in a foreign Asian language to the woman behind the counter as to who it belonged to. I just liked knowing an old Grandma made my sandwich. Makes me miss my Grandma. What they don’t tell you is that your sandwich comes with a nice little mixed green Salad. I was so happy. I had myself a perfect little lunch. Everything was fresh and delightful. This should be a regular lunch spot for me when I’m working in this area or just have a Saturday all to my self like I did this day. I was very impressed by my lunch. I’m not a big Crêpe fan but I am willing to try one out here. Sweet or Savory I just cant decide. Peach Patch Smoothie. You have a fan for life right here with that one. I wish I may I wish I might. I wish upon a Mango Star for another delicious lunch.

My sister-in-law and I went here to try their bubble tea. It was SO good! We got coconut milk tea with regular tapioca. I now prefer Mango Star over my old favorite Quickly… their coconut tea tastes completely different than Quickly but it’s a GOOD different! I’m sipping one as we speak and I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t tried the crepes or any food there but the coconut milk tea is enough to keep me coming back over and over again! The employees have always been very friendly and accommodating(once the woman opened the shop for us even though they were closed that day — just so we could get our tea!) and they remember you when you come in. 5 stars — yum, yum, yum! Update January 2011: Still my very favorite place to visit for tea! Quickly has been joyously replaced and I’m never looking back… Mango Star is unbeatable in their prices and quality of bubble tea! GOHERE or you won’t know what you’re missing! I recently tried a hot coconut milk tea… hold on while I quit drooling. I’m pretty sure they have also succeeded at getting me to quit my dirty Starbucks habit too… I LOVE Mango Star!!!

So my kids and I were on our way home after an afternoon with a longtime friend. I have been talking with my kids about crepes and finally had the opportunity for them to try them at a lil place called Bubble & Crêpe, well when we arrived it had changed owners and names to Mango Star. I spoke with one of the ladies and we talk about how I knew they were there and so forth. The kids and I looked over the menu but they really did not have much but we were able to make a decision. We ordered 2 of the banana and strawberry crepes minus the nutella, I ordered an order of pot stickers and a Cesar salad. First the salad came which was nice size that all three of the kids shared it. My order of pot stickers were nice size and a healthy portion(8) and then the crepes came. They were nicely presented however they were cold. The kids really enjoyed them. The place was clean, nicely but simply decorated and the staff very nice. I am unsure if they had WiFi like Bubble & Crêpe but I would definitely revisit.

My cousin that introduced me to boba tea years ago, came to visit and we decided to stop for some bobas. I had never liked them years ago, and my cousin who is a pretty seasoned boba veteran agreed that it was the best boba tea yet. We’ve gone back about 3 times in 2 weeks. The lady who works here is super sweet, and gave us free samples of her crepes. I will stop by every chance I get for smoothies and good service :)

Ummm, hmmm… I don’t think so. After filling up at Rotten Robbies I noticed MangoStar. I head on over and order a coconut milk tea and a banana strawberry nutella crêpe to go. I’m sipping on my milk tea while waiting for my crêpe… milk tea is not too bad. My crêpe order is ready and I head on home to start grubbing. Upon opening my to go order I notice how totally white and very very soggy my crêpe looks… just frakkin’ great. I cut the crêpe in half and notice that there’s only banana and whip in it… what the hell. I take one bite to try it… yuck, soggy texture is terrible. I’m pretty sure that’s not how a crêpe is supposed to look and taste like. I remember repeating my order twice to the lady at this place… I guess she doesn’t listen to the second part of sentences. I wasted my time, my money and my hunger on this place… lesson learned, never again.

Went to Mango Star for lunch about a week ago. Both me and my coworker/best friend ordered crepes and teas. We both got terribly SICK! It was one of the worst cases for food poisoning EVER! and we were both at work… try explaining to your boss that yes, you and your best friend both came down with food poisoning… We ordered chicken crepes. Both of us didnt even finish one half of the crêpe. It was greasy, soggy, and the meat was GRAY! So NOT okay! The milk tea was FANTASTIC! I ordered coconut and my friend ordered the Almond. Both were insane! Unfortunately, I will never again have one because I have no idea what made us so freakin ill at this dive and I AMNOT taking ANY chances.

I love the thai tea here! It tastes really good and you can get tapioca for no charge. Their tapioca is always just right because I hate it when it’s too hard but it’s soft and chewy at Mango Star. Their crepes are delicious, especially their savory crepes. The gelato is also good too and they give you samples if you can’t decide. They also give you samples for drinks if you don’t know what to order as well. The staff is really nice and friendly and it’s a great place to just hang out with some friends.

My wife and I tried this out today! We’re very picky about our boba… there’s nothing worse than gummy boba!!! we also don’t like extremely sweet drinks. To our pleasant surprise the drinks were perfectly flavored and the boba fresh. The café was clean and cheery, Most importantly the service was friendly, helpful and customer orientated. We recommend this place to anyone who has a hunkering for a refreshing drink. Based on the quality of drinks we look forward to another visit to try the food and ice cream portion of their menu! Go Mango Star you rock our world.

This place is where Bubble and Crêpe used to be and which has since moved to Crescent blvd in Pleasant Hill. While driving down Contra Costa Blvd, I glimpsed over to my left and saw what is now Mango Star. So in the mood for a treat I decided to swing in. The place just opened a little over a month ago, so there still in the process of putting things together. The interior is bright and cheerful, they serve a nice selection of savory and sweet crepes, salads, and smoothies(they even serve Taro smoothies) iced teas, milk teas and a small selection of gelatos. While pondering over what milk tea I wanted — Which they have Lychee, coconut, taro, honeydew just to name a few. I was in a toss between the Lychee and coconut so they owner actually made a few samples for me and some other customers to try. The owner and her mother were the ones working and they were extremely friendly and helpful. The Coconut was very good, though once I tried that lychee, my moment of pondering quickly ended. I ordered a small Lychee milk tea with boba and it was exceptional! Sweet, vibrant and refreshing almost as if drinking a florally fruit! This too will be a much visited place!
