I was really craving a bacon cheeseburger. Since we were already in Pleasant Hill, we stopped by 5 Guys. In the past, we have gone to the Clayton location so we are familiar with the routine and menu. The cashier was very efficient and fairly friendly. The music was a comfortable level. Not too loud, not too soft. The cooks were right on task and started the food promptly. The restaurant was fairly clean at first glance. There were a few others inside but not busy by any means. Our food came up in an acceptable amount of time.(I’m very sensitive to the timing and cleanliness after being in restaurant management for so many years). So, for some reason, our burgers seemed much smaller than we remember. The Little Cheeseburger that I ordered was dry and had no flavor. There was a tiny(½ teaspoon) of mayo on only one side of the bun. The bun is so much larger than the meat. The bacon on mine was cooked crisp just like I requested. However, the mushrooms I ordered were absent. I kept thinking there was something missing but I kept focusing on how dry and tasteless it was which distracted me from the mushrooms. I put some extra mayo on the burger when o noticed the missing mushrooms. When I brought it to the cashiers attention, he said«do you want a side of them»? Ok, so half my burger was gone, I didn’t enjoy it and I don’t even get a sorry for screwing it up. Thanks. Overall? Well, I would have to try one more time to see if tonight is a fluke but that won’t be anytime soon. Oh, and the pleasant music… Well it didn’t last. It wasn’t long before it was absolutely blaring! I grew up in the 70’s &80’s so I can really relate to LOUD music. I love a good beat. But I also know that there is a place and time for it. A bar might be one but not a joint where there are families eating and anyone that actually wants to hear someone else speak! I’m really bummed to give only 2 stars. I hope I can increase it at a later date.

Dante(I think that was his name) was very pleasant and attentive. Made an otherwise ordinary dining experience very nice.

Love it here but I think the burgers are too mushy and a lil oily but that’s American food =) I got a cheeseburger with fresh onions instead of their grilled onions and also the Cajun fries. Very filling but expensive.

Disgustingly dirty premises. Guy calling out the numbers was screaming as loud as possible, making the whole experience unpleasant and actually stressful. If they would have turned down the music a few notches he wouldn’t have had to scream out the order numbers so loud. Same worker adjusted his baseball cap, which almost fell off, touched his hair then continued touching food without changing gloves or washing his hands — health violation. The tables and floors had food all over them, we had to wipe down our table and chairs ourselves. NOTONCE during the whole time we were there, 1-hour, did someone come out from behind the counter to clean the seating area or empty the overflowing trash cans. The burgers were cold, so cold that the cheese wasn’t melted at all. They messed up my order and gave me a little cheeseburger even though I ordered a regular. The workers seemed more concerned with yelling out food orders and acting like fools behind the counter than providing customers with quality food or even a decent experience. If this is how Five Guys franchises run their businesses I WILLNEVER go into another one again. Complete and utter trash!

Gosh I can’t find a reason why people actually eat this food. I went to this location in particular a couple of weeks ago with a big group of friends from DVC. Moving onto the most important topic is the food. I ordered my burger with tomato, lettuce, BBQ sauce and a couple of other toppings with fries. After a 10 minute wait, I was hungry at the time and I was hoping for a good meal. Now here’s where the parting of ways from Five Guys began. About halfway through my meal, I feel that after indulging the burger and fries with the soda, I felt like crap. The burger with everything that I added onto it tasted totally bland. The fries themselves(to me) tasted nearly like eating a pack of salt, they’re that bad. Even halfway through the meal, I didn’t want to force myself at all to eat everything because I’d feel more sick from eating a burger from a national food chain store than is very high in calories. I don’t know why Five Guys even have those gimmicky signs of theirs that convince customers that the burgers are great tasting or the best whatever. This is a marketing FAILURE! I will never attend to a Five Guys anywhere ever again because I wouldn’t even know how anyone would want to eat there more than once a week, month, year, or ever. I wish I could give a 0⁄5 because I never eaten something so salty and fatty that would make me sick in the stomach…

Good burgers and fries, a little over priced. We got two bacon cheese burgers and fries and it was $ 23 which was a little more expensive then I thought. We got the seasoned fries which were good! And the burgers were good needed a little more seasoning but after not eating all day they hit the spot! It was between this place or in n out, I’d probably choose in n out since it’s cheaper and so dam good. But this is a good runner up.

My friends had read that the burgers and fries were supposed to be great here. The burger that I ordered was almost tasteless in spite of the sauteed mushrooms and other toppings. The fries weren’t even remotely crispy, and were greasy. I’ve had much better burgers at: In & Out, Carl’s Jr., Nations, Hamburger Habit, etc. I took one bite and went to the manager to get my money back. He was willing to refund the price of the burger, but not the fries. My first visit to 5 guys will also be my last.

Pretty good food but terribly rude staff. I called on a Saturday afternoon(around 1130) and was asked to be put on hold, then they hung up on me. Call back, no answer. Came in person to order instead because no big deal, it happens right? Tried to order at the counter and the woman there kept talking over me as if I’d never been there before. I asked for a mini cheeseburger with no bun and before I could even finish my sentence(the no bun part) she was asking me repeatedly BUTWHICHTOPPINGS? I had to stop her and say I’m sorry did you even get what I wanted? I’m not even sure what the rush was– there was literally not a single person in line behind me. Rude. In n out and nations from now on. To boot– reviews that the place is kind of dingy and covered in peanut shells are accurate. I could look over that if the food/service is good but it isn’t.

My least favorite location. The quality of the food is lower and the place is always dirty. Peanut shells fill the tables and floors, the soda and condiments tables are always a mess, and the tables are all over the place. I understand this location may get more customers cause of the theater across the street. But that shouldn’t be an excuse. Employees stand around and idle even though there is plenty to do. Either management is not around or doesn’t care.

I have been here before. Only –1 star because it is ALWAYS so dirty inside! Does none of the staff workers clean up the tables or floor from the peanuts!!! Other than that, the bacon cheese burgers are to die for. The LITTLE bacon cheese burger is HUGE, and the regular size is even bigger! The guy who rang me up was super chill. Let me have all my sauces on the side, and even gave me a lot more than fries than usual when I picked up my order! Seems like the workers here are a bunch of bro’s hanging out and having fun while they work!

My family/friends and I have debated which is the best burger chain between In-N-Out, Nation’s, and Five Guys. I go to all three Pleasant Hill locations from time to time and enjoy all three. The food at Five Guys is great, today I had a cheeseburger and side of fries for $ 11. For me, this is a few bucks more than what I would pay at In-N-Out or Nations for a similar meal. I still go here from time to time because I like the food but am more inclined to frequent the other places because of the cost.

This place is more expensive than in an out. Can’t blame them for wanting to make a huge profit. $ 2.99 for small fries.

Great burgers! Note to the mgmt: Guys, cut the french fry portion in half and cut the price!!! You trying to kill us??? And Fuddrucker’s peanuts are way better…

Not impressed by this Five Guys location. The cheese wasn’t even melted on the burger… Who makes a cheeseburger with cold cheese? The flavor was bland and it tasted like a backyard BBQ where you throw frozen patties on the grill and just sort of forget about them. The fries were okay, could be crispier and were way over salted. Overall, not up to par with other Five Guys I’ve been to. Do yourself a favor and go to In-N-Out for half the price.

This is another bad place to eat. Only about 8 patrons and 25 minutes later we find that others were served ahead of us who came in 5 – 10 minutes after us. The reason? They mixed up our order, couldn’t read it, something, so instead of figuring it out, decided to fill orders ahead of ours. Didn’t start working on it until I went up to see what the delay was. And when the burgers came out, they looked they were made by three year olds assembling mud pies with the sauce dripping and all over the wrapper. Extremely disappointed with this branch of the chain. Don’t throw more money at them, just train them better.

Under seasoned low end beef patties. More fast food style than I had expected this first time experience. I thought it would be similar to a super duper burger but no. Five guys is like Walmart and super duper is target, a bit nicer in everywhere. Greasy fries that quite salty. Burger with all toppings that were kind sad in freshness sourcing. No milkshakes.

If you like greasy, tasteless, overpriced burgers on a soggy undersized bun, this place is for you! I Stick with In N Out … Much better.

I hadn’t had a burger, yet alone from a «fast food» place, in quite some time. I didn’t have much time in this case before my movie at the nearby theater so I thought that this Five Guys would be an okay option. I was right, «okay» being the key word. They did take longer than I’d like so it’s not really like a fast food place. Also, the burger just lacked flavor, which I guess is consistent with a fast food place.

I love love love this place so much. I love it so much that even though I was craving something else, Terri mentioned five guys and with no hesitation I said yes. Think of a halfway point between a fast food place, and a burger at a restaurant. I was lucky that when I was first told about five guys, the cheeseburger and little cheeseburger concept was explained to me. I think it’s a cool idea but anyone not familiar with this joint will probably get confused if it’s not explained to them at the time of ordering. I get the same order every single time. One cheeseburger, all the way. All the way meaning all the items in Black which include the usual: mustard, mayo, ketchup, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. Plus mushrooms and grilled onions. I personally find it odd that the grilled onions are the normal all the way topping yet raw onions are not. But no complaints. The burger is excellent. Comes wrapped in foil and I love spending just a few seconds staring at the wrapped burger, preparing myself for the awesomeness that awaits. The burger is delicious as always. Always hot and so much filling that they are dripping onto your foil plate. Two words: BURGERHEAVEN. I also order a side of small Cajun fries. A small order is actually plenty of food for two people so there is really no need to go higher unless you’re with a bigger crowd. It’s the perfect amount of seasoning on the fries where you can taste the Cajun, but it’s not over powering. Much better then regular fries. While you wait they have boxes and boxes of peanuts to munch on. They have framed articles all over the place saying«Hey look how great we are.» but in all fairness, they have a right to brag. Tonight was an interesting trip to Five Guys. Two of the cooks were making very loud comments and jokes back and forth to each other as if nobody was in the place. It was the most unprofessional I have seen the place. Then you have one guy calling out the order numbers who you can hardly hear. It sounded like he was whispering. Though it was odd, it did not spoil my night and I will be back.
