Barney’s Castle Daycare

My son just turned 1 and we have been taking him to Klava’s since he was 4 months old. Klava and her assistants provide a loving and nurturing environment and the kids are always having fun! We visited many different providers during our search for full-​time childcare, and we were so excited when we found Klava. We knew she was the one right away and felt so comfortable with her that we put a deposit down and saved our spot months before our son was even born!
Klava’s energy is boundless, and her attention and love for each child in her care is evident in every smile, hug, and laugh. Her home is clean and there is a nice, shaded play area in the backyard for the kids to play outside and ample space inside. Her calm demeanor and the attention that she gives to each child and their needs is priceless. All of the kids in her care are well behaved and so friendly. My son often doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day! He truly has a community of friends there, and we have a partner in Klava and her assistants in the care of our son.
We highly recommend her to anyone searching for part or full time daycare in the Pleasant Hill area!

I shopped around different daycares and Klava’s was my top choice. She is super nice, very sweet. The kids, including mine, seem ridiculously happy and smiling. My daughter has been going to Klava’s for almost 5 months. Every morning, she smiles when i drop her off and smiles when i pick her up. The ladies who work at the daycare are very nice as well. Overall, i can’t be happier with the daycare. Highly recommend it.

Until the fall of 2010, Klava and her staff had been our daycare provider for six years. We found them to consistently provide a nurturing, educational, and loving environment for both of our children. We started bringing our daughter to Klava when she was about a year and a half. Being a shy little girl, it took some time to warm up to her new environment. With Klava and her staff’s encouragement, our baby girl grew to love her new friends, even not wanting to leave when we would pick her up! Through the years, not only did she make new friends, but learned a wealth of pre-​school skills from the alphabet, numbers and writing, to sharing, respecting others and becoming independent. She gained such a strong foundation from Klava and her staff that we were confident in her success as a young Kindergartener. We continued coming to Klava’s when our son was born. We are so fortunate that he had the same wonderful experience as our daughter’s. Despite having an opposite personality and very different temperament than his sister’s, he experienced the same love, guidance, and support that only an excellent provider can give.

My daughter has been coming to Barney’s Castle Daycare since she was 3 months old. She is now 2, and I couldn’t have made a better choice for her. The owner, Klava, is attentive, loving, kind and truly the best provider, other than us her parents, one could ask for in a provider. I trust Klava with my daughter 100% and know that in her daycare my child will thrive, learn, socialize and continue to grow as if she was around her parents. LIke I said, I couldn’t ask for a better provider who I know will care for my child like family.

When I was pregnant, a friend recommended I check out Barney’s Castle Daycare. It was by far the best recommendation I have received. My son has been happily learning and thriving at Barney’s Castle Daycare under the careful watch of owner, Klava since he was 4 months old (he is now 3). They are loving, educational, fun, and the most reasonably priced daycare in the area (not that you can put a price on the care of your child!). I especially appreciate that they encourage me to drop by anytime instead of scheduling prearranged visits. They are clean, conveniently located, and have served the Pleasant Hill area for almost 20 years. My son looks forward to going to daycare and often doesn’t want to leave.
