This place is out of the way from the airport, but totally worth it. The girls working were very nice and friendly. Our sub was delicious! If we fly out of NY again, we’ll definitely stop by again :)

Not as good as the reviews that I saw on here. I was really kind of disappointed. The owner is really not friendly.

The sub’s are good but I don’t see myself making the trip here often. I always feel like I’m being rushed to order and then I have to sit and listen to the sandwich makers gossip about boys and going out. Maybe if they hired more professional college students, or slightly older employees — I may visit more often. Until then, I’ll go to Jrecks.

I ordered the chicken cutlet the bread was delicious the melted cheese was delicious could use more hot sauce. A little pricey. I’m a college student and didn’t feel like paying eight and some change for sub. I did like how fast I got my meal they were extremely speedy.

This is my favorite sub place ever. I moved to Plattsburgh for college and began frequenting Zukes. On summer breaks when I would go home I would miss these delicious subs. That’s right, I missed a sub. This isn’t a standard sub. The bread really makes it, it’s so good! The portions of meat and veggies are also excellent. Not too much or too little of anything– they make these subs just right. Rant. rant. rant. all you need to know is that if you haven’t checked Zuke’s out, you’re missing out.

Best subs in Plattsburgh!!! I have gone to this place since they opened. I grew up a few streets away and would walk past Zukes every day to get to high school. The menu hasn’t changed much and the quality of subs has remained the same… excellent! I love the Zukes Special; turkey and ham, coleslaw and Swiss cheese(i might be forgetting something?!?) toasted to perfection. It’s so yummy. They have short hours and are really busy when college is in.

Best subs in Plattsburgh: Zuke’s Corner Store. I have been coming here regularly for about a year. Their subs are excellent: great sub rolls, fresh high quality ingredients and every sub includes an individual small bag of Herr’s chips of choice. They have a few small tables and some counter space for eating in. They have nice soups in the winter. Also they offer some good side salads as well as a selection of the usual beverages and unusual ones such as Sanpellegrino grapefruit beverage– delicious!

Good deli to go to once in a while… I recommend most of the special sandwiches they have. If you think you will get a real fried chicken cutlet you’re wrong, it tasted like it was a processed than microwaved chicken patty. But I am a big roast beef fan and If you like roast beef definitely get the club. The Zukes Special is also… pretty special and scrumptious enjoy!

I used to live on top of Zukes and I never wanted to spend more money at the establishment but when I was feeling horrendous I couldn’t help but order a delicious Zukes special or whatever came to mind. I’ve tried most of the sandwiches there and they are so good, especially with melted cheese. I have to say I do miss Zukes a lot. The bread is the best part, being French this is the closest an American establishment I know has come close to being what I remember as being French baguettes. Definitely worth the money.

The best sub place in Plattsburgh for sure! The Zuke’s Special and Veggie sub are my favorites and the ingredients are always so fresh and delicious. Just be sure to request a napkin since they only give them out if you ask.

Best kept secret in Plattsburgh. Reasonable prices, tasty sandwiches, and friendly employees. Just don’t try and use the ATM when someone is on the phone. Only one phone line.

I’ll agree that Zuke’s sandwiches are delicious and it’s in a great, walkable location, but I never met so many people that could make me feel like I was inconveniencing them with my service. I don’t need bright shining smiles everywhere I visit, but the workers and owners especially tend to weigh on the snarky and pretentious side and will get nasty with you real quick if they didn’t understand what you’ve said or are confused by your order.

Zuke’s is a wonderful hidden local sub place. They feature made-to-order subs, which are cheap and yummy! They are right off of Brinkerhoff, so a short walk from DT and you have a great home made sandwich with real bread, and generous portions. Zuke’s also has nice vegetarian options, and reasonable prices. They only have a couple of tables inside, so its not really a sit-down type of a place. Although if you can snag a window seat, its fun to sit facing the street. The only thing which you can criticize Zuke’s for is its hours of operation. They close early, so you’re best off getting a sandwich for later, or making sure to get there before 4.

The Zuke’s Special is probably one of my favorite sandwiches to buy when I’m in town. Their staff is always pretty friendly.

I’m an out-of-towner spending a couple weeks in Plattsburgh, so I took all these glowing recommendations with a grain of salt, thinking they were probably all from people related to the owner. But BOY was I pleasantly surprised to discover that it’s all true! The sandwiches are among the best I’ve ever had(I’m a huge fan of Publix subs from the grocery chain down south, but these might be just as awesome). The pickles really do compete with the best I’ve had in NYC. And the complimentary bag of high-end potato chips just ices the cake. No glamour here, but I’ve eaten a sandwich three lunches in a row now, and my mouth is watering for day number four!

I really, really, really, deeply, passionately love this place. Right now, my mouth is watering because I made the mistake of talking about it with my friend and it will be a small life time before that fresh bread and tasty meat will tantalize my taste buds. Every time I come home, my first stop is always to Zuke’s, where the service is speedy and the subs are delectable. Plus, the pickle served on the side has to be one of the most delicious pickles I’ve ever had. I’m confident saying this even after living in NYC and experiencing many a Jewish pickle. Did I mention you also get a free baby bag of chips? My only complaint is that the prices have gone up significantly since my high school days and more recently, the subs have gotten smaller. Noticeably smaller. I went on multiple lunch dates and every one of my friends commented on the reduced size. They seem to have made the bread narrower and the meat less plentiful. Regardless, it’s still the tastiest quick lunch in Plattsburgh and I still love it.

Awesome deli! Their special sandwiches — the Zuke, with Russian and coleslaw, and the Turkey combo, are freakin’ great. The bread is freshly made and really complements the sandwich. Most delis out there are carbon copies of each other: Boar’s Head meats plus the Boar’s Head menu you see everywhere. Zuke’s is unique, and it shows in the taste. Definitely worth a stop in.

I love love love Zuke’s. They are one of my favorite«restaurants» from home. It’s a small corner store and deli counter, and they make fan-fucking-tastic sandwiches. They use real French bread and include a free pickle and chips with your order. I used to live down the street from this place and would order all the friggin’ time. So good. Whenever I go back home to visit I try to make a stop here to eat. I hope they never go out of business, for reals.
