Finally… CMB is back to being a solid, waterfront choice. After years of crappy service and food, Café Mooney Bay seems to have found its footing again. I’m old enough to remember the original CMB and it was great back then. I’ve been hoping it would get back to that level again and it has. Friendly service, solid food, perfect setting. We had a great evening. Our table had several different entrees ordered and I’ll rate them… Lobster salad — excellent! Delicious, perfectly cooked lobster on a bed of fresh greens. Simple but perfect. Seafood Sauté — lots of seafood over pasta. Very good. Stuffed Shells — Yum! Perfectly cooked, great presentation(yes, stuffed shells presented beautifully.) Scallop casserole — The only dud at the table. Watery and VERY overcooked scallops, too cheesy. The drinks were perfect, wine crisp and delicious. The staff was attentive and wonderful. We are looking forward to CMB being our new go-to waterfront restaurant in the Plattsburgh area.

Hidden gem — nice restaurant only open during the boating season. Locate right on the water overlooking the marina and Lake Champlain. Well worth the trip outside of Plattsburgh for some great food in an incredible atmosphere. The interior had a bit of a smell to it — not sure of the source. We sat out on the deck overlooking the water. Service was good and the food was great. As good, if not better than Irise’s and Anthony’s in town.
