I know coffee and yogurt places are the hip thing but finding a place in Platte City that combines the two? I’ve only had the yogurt once but would eat it on every visit if I could. I get caramel everything. Yogurt, coffee… I can’t get away from it. They have cute pictures of dogs on the walls and offer free wifi.

On this particular visit, I ordered the pumpkin spice latte since it is my go-to beverage. I wasn’t too impressed by it. It smelled and tasted slightly burnt. No thank you. The saving grace though was the very friendly service and overall relaxing, cozy atmosphere. If I’m ever in the area again, I may give the frozen yogurt a try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

This place is the best! New to town and stopped in for coffee one day, owner was very helpful and kind telling me all about the area. Then I took my daughter and some of her friends back for frozen yogurt and it was a big hit! They truly have such wonderful customer service, delicious and unique frozen yogurt and of course the coffee is awesome!

Plate City really needed a place like this and the owners of this establishment have delivered. I sometimes stop in on the way home from work and it is always a treat. My favorite is a smoothie called«The Hulk» which is obviously green and not too sweet with a hint of coconut. But really every smoothie is good, the ingredients are always fresh. The coffee is also exceptional. This is great place to go!

Love going here. Friendly family staff. Excellent place to stop in for a coffee and muffin, or fresh breakfast tacos. Love evening outings with our daughter to relax outside or on the couch eating frozen yogurt.

Awesomeness!!! I know beans and they are spot on for great coffee roasted every 7 days and sourced from among the elite in KC for roasting and unique quality!!! Drink it every day! I don’t eat a lot of frozen goodies but it’s a hands down better alternative to ice cream. More flavor, unique flavors and many topping choices…

I am so pleased to see a coffee shop in Platte City! And the frozen yogurt part is icing on the cake. This place is easy to get to and has plenty of parking space. The staff are super friendly. AND the coffee is great! It is clean with a cheerful decode and a cute little sitting area. I will definitely go there for my morning coffee and recommend it to all my friends!

What a great addition to Platte City! When I first saw something new went into this strip mall, I almost crashed my car realizing the sign said FROZENYOGURT. With Red Mango by Target now defunct(and my refusal to deal with the parking for Yogurtini), I had high hopes that Top Dog could fill the void in my heart that is frozen yogurt. So, on what seems to be the coldest day of the year, we decided to check it out! On the inside, the place is great. They are also a coffee bar and that is separate from the frozen yogurt, so you can get in and out quick if the place is crowded(I noticed a Salted Caramel Latte on the menu. so I will be back!!). There are a few tables and chairs as well as a small indoor fireplace with cozy chairs and magazines surrounding it. A great place to relax and enjoy yourself. As for the frozen yogurt, they have about 8 flavors. German Chocolate Cake was pretty good, but I ended up getting Peanut Butter and Alaskan Vanilla(what made it Alaskan, I’m not sure?). The frozen yogurt itself was really good. My beef with Red Mango was that, while I liked it, I always thought the yogurt was a little ‘tart’, even the decadent flavors. Here the yogurt is creamier tasting and closer to actual ice cream which I really liked. It is self serve, so fill ‘er up! The toppings bar needs a little work. We were the only ones here, so we were able to take our time, but it was hard to tell what everything was(maybe 15 options?) because it wasn’t labeled. They also didn’t have any fruit toppings(maybe in back?, I didn’t ask), but at the time this didn’t bother me since all I wanted was pb cups, oreos, etc. They do have caramel and chocolate sauce to add to the top as well. All said, this was probably my favorite frozen yogurt of all the options that have been in the area. I liked the creamier taste of the yogurt and Top Dog’s Peanut Butter frozen yogurt was definitely the best tasting of any other attempts I have tried. We picked the largest cups(they have 2 sizes) and filled them mostly to top and it was $ 10 for the two… so prices are comparable. They have a bit of work to do on the ease of using the toppings bar, but overall, I’m super excited to have a great place like this in Platte City.
