We went to the Strawberry Festival yesterday and on the way home noticed a sign that mentioned authentic Mexican food. Since we are always up to try a new place that says as much, we stopped. Not only is it authentic, it is DELICIOUS! Everything is fresh and homemade. My fiancé‘ is a native Californian and she says it rivaled or beat any Mexican food she has eaten. I live in St. Pete Beach and I will be back in Plant City many more times before the next festival. It is located @4109 Hwy. 574 in Plant City.

I wish I would have read the previous reviews before going there. Initially, when I walked in I thought«this place looks legit» but as I sat while waiting on my food I thought«this place looks a little dirty». I ordered the steak tacos to go. They were fresh but the steak was tough & chewy. I only ate 2 out of the four tacos(& that’s because I was so hungry & wanted to eat something).

Delicious. Ate a bit of everything. Best refried beans I have ever had. The enchilada was fabullious. Tacos were good. Rice and slaw was blah. Everything else was great.

Cockroaches came running from under my plate of tacos! When waitress sat the paper basket that held my 2 steak tacos, 2 little tiny baby cockroaches came running out from underneath the basket. 1 got away as my wife squealed the waitress smashed the other on the side in the table with a napkin and said«so sorry». Mind you this is after over half of my family of 4 kids, wife and I are finished eating our food, because they brought it out one person at a time in 10 min intervals. So if your last, you got sometime to wait. $ 75 I pay when its all said and done! That’s a lot of money to ask for a place were the place has ROACHESONYOURTABLERUNNINGFROMTHEPLATE, THEFOODWASSERVEREDON!!! Management never spoke with us and no rebate as apologies FULLPRICEANDSTANDBEHINDIT! LIKEYOURPROUDOFIT! Hey, at least you own it. Most disgusted I have ever been in a restaurant. NASTY! DON’T GOHERE! Ps: Food itself is cheaply made like cafeteria food. There is a much better place off 60 as your leaving Valrico heading into Brandon, cheaper too!

Useless. Who serves cold, un-melted cheese in a cheese enchilada? Why do I want to eat red dye in my enchilada sauce? The place is disgusting, from its loud obnoxious jukebox, to the LOUD, obnoxious alarm on the front door every time it’s opened or closed. Useless.

We were pretty disappointed. Although the taste was good the food was served cold. Not much value either as 3 lunch specials and 3 sodas added up to $ 31.00

We went there for lunch today it was awesome. I love my vegetarian bean taco and fresh guacamole. Nice atmosphere, ranchero music, festive. Friendly waitress. Best Mexican food in Tampa Bay. My favorite by far!

This is the oldest Mexican restaurant in Plant City. Order spicy guacamole. Request diablo sauce. Won’t disappoint. Tacos very fresh. Friendly helpful waitress, got to practice my Spanish. Give this place a try

This place is soooo good! It’s definitely a local restaurant and the owner even told us they don’t get many white people in– but don’t let that scare you! Everyone is nice and although our original waitress spoke no English, the owner came to explain the menu and how to eat foods that we have Americanized! The kids and I had tacos– some chicken, some ground beef– with a side order of shredded cheese and their usual cilantro and onion! I am usually«lots of cheese and sour cream» and had neither here! I ate it all the Mexican way and am hooked! Glad we took the chance!

Don’t let appearances fool you gringos. My wife and I found this place a few years ago. We actually got lost looking for another Mexican restaurant. We came back again today. Thank god we didn’t find it and found this one instead years ago. This is mexican food. Now if you think burritos are Mexican cuisine this probably won’t be the place for you. If you want chips and salsa with nachos and a burrito go to that lame excuse for Mexican restaurant off the interstate«mi casa». It wasn’t even good tex mex. On the other hand. El Rincon is inexpensive and hands down the best Mexican food I have had outside of my I laws family’s cooking in Guanajuato . I am guessing that it is a local favorite to the workers in plant city. We found out that the restaurant has been there for 25 years. «somethings right»
