Service is questionable at times but hands down my favorite fast food hamburger period. My normal order of double cheeseburger with jalapeños, fries and a cherry limeade is almost heaven. It’s fast food. It’s greasy. It’s also damn good. Enjoy.

I love this place. Today purchased some deer sausage. The customer service was awesome. It’s also has awesome buffalo burgers and sweet potato tots.

I am a fan! I have dined in and had food catered. Everything that I have ordered has always been fresh and of great quality. The owner and staff have been very accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. The BBQ is great and burgers are exceptional! I feel that some of the sides can stand a little more flavor, but other then that, I will remain a repeat customer.

The best burger I have ever had and it was a buffalo burger! This place needs more than 5 stars.

Best burger I have ever had… and I do not say this lightly! When was the last time you could taste the freshness of the meat? Or had a buttered hamburger bun with all the toppings? It was wrapped in the old school red and white checkered paper. Good old boys behind the counter. Nothing fancy… but if you want the best meat in DFW you’ll have to drive here.

Great burgers. Huge and very reasonable. We had the regular hamburger. They had already sold out of the buffalo burger. Stead steam of customers. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
For dessert, the last fried pie of the day… coconut. So yummy.
Will definitely be back.

My colleague brought me here a couple of months ago and recommended the ribeye burger. I thought it was going to be a patty made from ribeye and was very pleasantly surprised when I saw an actual ribeye with the bread.
It’s pretty filling and not for someone who’s on a diet. I’ll come back whenever I’m in that part of town to try the other type of burgers.

Enjoyed the buffalo burger. Staff was nice. Laid back southern style. 2 kinds of room temperature BBQ sauce from bottle pumps.
Looking forward to going back and exploring the menu further.

Front staff was not friendly. Burgers were ok. We waited forever to get out order and didn’t get a sausage until we had to go ask for it & was told they forgot all about it. I usually write detailed reviews, but since I felt like I was being a bother in this place I’ll just leave it at that.
We would only return to buy the meat to cook it ourselves.

Amazing burger place, and butcher. Buffalo burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned, bun held up to the size of the meat, the veggies were fresh and pickles were just the right size, mayo/​mustard was in just the right proportions. Tots were crispy goodness… and finished off the meal with an fried apple pie.

One of my favorite places to eat in Plano. Everyone is very friendly and the burgers are awesome. One of the best places to eat if you are a burger eater and likes meat. Go each day and try each of their special burgers for the day.

Oh, hells yes. I am here for the first time devouring my celestial meal of a buffalo burger all the way with cheese (mustard instead of mayo) with a ½ and ½ order of onion rings/​tater tots (apparently known as a «toe ring») and enjoying every heavenly bite. I was out in Plano for an appointment and found this place on Unilocal and am so glad I came. You know onion rings/​tots are good when they require absolutely no ketchup. The burger is awesome too. I love bison and it’s bigger than I expected! They have all sorts of yummy game burgers/​meat by the pound. Very casual ambiance, but very friendly staff. I am a fan and will be back again for sure the next time I’m out this way.

Get here early. I showed up at 11:00 and was nearly trampled by the predominately carhart and dickies clad acolytes. Their minds were so frazzled with thoughts of sizzling game meats and french fried potatoes that they barely had room to entertain proper decorum. After all, this may be the closest to hunting any of them will get until the end of the year. So if you had to throw a chop block or a hip check to secure your spot, then so be it. I think I actually saw one man mark his table with urine.(they frown on that by the way) Other than that it was a real nice group of folks, casual to say the least. By no means is this one those hipster douche bag places, the median age seemed to be around late 50’s– 60′. Which is kinda nice, should one of them die in line you that much closer to burger nirvana.
One of my favorite parts is the ordering process. Its like being at auction. He talks real fast and writes things down using some burger baron short hand then gives you the ubiquitous white styrofoam cup and a number. Thats it. Sit down and wait for your number. I also like to take the place as I wait. Its so perfectly antiquated and makes me feel as though I’ve stepped into the simpler times of years gone buy. I half expected to pick up the newspaper on my table and read the headline We’ve Landed On The Moon”. It didn’t so I decided to familiarize myself with their impressive taxidermy collection. But this was interrupted by a small mosey voice whisper out «24». I could barely understand her the second time as I stumbled around my table looking for my number, I knew I should have put it some where safe. Did I leave it up at the unsweet tea dispenser, crap what a rookie move. Then suddenly as if the gods of ground meat had smile down upon I saw ticket on the floor. I knew I had to grab it fast, before some else did and ran to the counter to retriever my holy grail my ELK burger w/​fries
I sat down and mentally took note of what was about to happen and let me tell it was glorious. The meat was beyond flavorful, the bread had a nice little toast on it and all the veg was vibrant and fresh. Shake on a little chalula and your in high cotton. Sp please skip all the goofy new burger joints and come to a place where the folks and the food are 100% real and enjoyable,

Really good buffalo burgers, I shall return to feast on those bad boys in the near future. Tender and juicy patties and priced very reasonably. Condiments (lettuce, tomatoes, onions) are so/​so, only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. Staff is super friendly though, seem like genuinely good people.
Consider splitting a side of tater tots if you come with a friend, they give you a ton!

Came here for a burger, and it was fantastic. The sides are huge, and the guy who ran the counter was super friendly.
They also have daily specials and alternate meat choices like Twisted Root does.

The people here deserves five stars maybe six. They have a very caring staff and it seems they truly enjoy their job.
On the other hand, the burgers are okay. Sure, the meat comes from your butcher shop and it’s high-​quality, but the buns condiments, sides, and the rest are so-​so and no better than what I could quickly make at home. Buy your meat at the butcher shop, get the rest somewhere else, and make a really great burger at home instead.

I would have preferred my burger a little less done, but it was good quality and I’d like to return for some other more creative meat options. I could really go for a lamb burger with greek pickles and hummus, but somehow I doubt they’d stock the extras.

This is the place to come when you’re hungry! They sold me on their buffalo burgers at the Plano Balloon Festival. Darn good burgers! You need to go with an appetite! Those burgers are huge.
They also did a Mother’s Day dinner that was to die for. Only $ 30/​person for a 4 course meal. Hope they do more of these dinners.

Grabbed a buffalo burger and a fried cherry pie for a late lunch couple of weeks ago. Place was pretty empty, so the loonnggg wait to get the burger was a bit puzzling until I noticed most of the cooks sitting in the back having lunch. No clue who actually prepared my burger.
Burger was ok, large patty, standard high production bakery bun and tons of shredded iceberg lettuce, less would be more in that case.
Fried pie was kind of blah, was expecting more actual cherries and less of cherry flavored sauce.
Overall, was expecting more from a place rated as number 1 burger destination on Unilocal in Plano, just so so, would not make a special effort to go here again.
