My family and I have been loyal customers of the Blue Fish in Allen for many years. So we were thrilled to discover that they have opened up a location in Frisco near us. Unsurprisingly, the food is great and the service is top notch. On our most recent visit, the kids shared the Super Dragon roll and the Seafood Tempura plate. Both were absolutely beautifully prepared and delicious. I personally love Sea Urchin and I was very pleased with my order. It was fresh and tasty :). We found the staff friendly and attentive. Hands down our most favorite sushi restaurant in DFW.

First time at The Blue Fish, my husband and I had an amazing experience. I love sushi and the quality of the fish here is remarkable. We had(Calvin)? As our server and he was amazing, being our first time he helped us tremendously. He suggested the Ahi tower, and that dish was phenomenal! A must get! He also suggested some rolls, which were all delicious. I wish I took pictures(that just means we have to come back)!! The presentation, quality, and service was amazing. From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with warm smiles, received amazing service, and even at the end of our meal a sweet young Asian lady came to our table side to make sure we had a great dinner. We will definitely be returning to try out the other dishes they have!

I’ve been to about every Blue Fish location so I tried to give this place a try after work. I sat at the bar since I didn’t want to take up a table by myself and was pleased with the service. Sarah and Chad at the bar were very personable and sweet! They checked up on me often and let me take my time with my order. Chris, the manager, stopped by to check up on everyone at the bar, which I thought was very professional and nice of him. The food didn’t take too long, which I was surprised about after reading all the reviews of this place… maybe it’s only fast at the bar? But definitely wouldn’t mind coming back to this location!

Eaten here twice and quite disappointed both times. First time, service was bad. We didn’t want wasabi on anything(no wasabi sauce, wasabi caviar, etc). The one roll we asked to not have wasabi sauce came out with it on. Our server was no where near the most of the time. He would always come at the end while we’re waiting to order. I understand if it was busy but it was SLOW ! Spicy Tuna roll always taste old and slimy. The texture? It’s literally mushy and thick. I’ve had spicy tuna rolls at many places. I understand all places aren’t the same. But it should NOT taste MUSHY and bad. Second time we ordered to go. I asked for a Steak Teriyaki Entrée with Sauce on the side and Sautéed Vegetables, and cooked medium rare. Funny thing, the hostess seemed to not know there was such an entrée. She asked if I wanted a different steak entrée or chicken entrée. What? I come to pick up my order to only find they messed up my order and had to remake it. So I had to wait a longer period. After I finally got my Togo, I checked my food in the car(in passenger seat) and realized they gave me STEAMED vegetables. Plain taste. Didn’t like them. It was already too late to turn back since I got on toll and they were closed. My steak was cooked well done– it tasted like rubber. It was so hard to eat. I understand to-go’s may taste different but uhhh. I ate this in the car soooo. No difference there. I ate my rice only to find out I was eating half paper. The Togo box was coming apart!!! Geez. I guess this place isn’t as good as what they say. Waste of time and money. Seems all locations are the same. Blue fish in North Dallas forgot my California roll. Is there not a manager paying attention? Disappointed.

Really great place to eat shush! Food is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable. I met there with some friends and it has a great atmosphere to have a great time! I have found my shusi bar! I would have given it 5 stars, but there is limited parking and more likely than not, you may have to valet park your car.

I came here for the first time recently with a friend and the food was amazing! Try the Sashimi Roll, it had a nice tangy taste to it, and the fish was soooo fresh. We also got the Ahi Tuna Tower which had a beautiful presentation but I found out it was mixed which made sense as soon as we took a bite of it. It was UNBELIEVABLE, the flavors were mixed nicely and did not need soysauce or anything. We also got the 121 roll which we assumed it was named after this location and it was heavenly. Whenever I crave fried foods from the fair, I can just come here and get the 121 roll instead. For alcohol we got the Julie’s Martini which was cool, and refreshing, and my friend got the Ruby Sparkler which she said was very good. And lastly we shared a Wonton Tower I think which looked like a dessert version of the Ahi Tower. At first by the looks of it I thought it was gonna be too sweet but after eating it it was perfect with the fresh berries. What a perfect ending to our meal. Décor was nice as well. The dining area was on the small side but it had a more intimate feeling to it, and there was also a private room with it’s own TV for bigger groups to enjoy. There was this sexy and subtle blue lighting to the place, and the bar and lounge are looked nice as well. Service was spot on. I forgot our waiters name but it was an Asian guy who had a noticeable big butt which my friend didn’t mind at all. ;) We would have never gotten the Ahi Tower but when he told us what was in it, it sounded tasty and different. Our drinks were constantly getting refilled and the food came out at the right timing. There was a large party there as well and we didn’t think the food took long at all but this lady who I assume is the manager came up and apologized for it but she was fine, we didn’t even think it took long at all so I would bump this review up to 7 stars if I could. Overall this restaurant is a bit on the pricey side but you get what you paid for which is good quality food and service. The location is great and they have complimentary valet parking which is awesome after a big meal here. I’ll have to go again but I hope everything stays on point.

I came here at 7:00 for my friend’s graduation dinner. She had made a reservation but they took 15 minutes to put together a table. It is not busy in here. Other than our party, there’s only 12 other customers. Yeah I just counted. It is currently 8:30 and I’m STILL waiting for my food. It does not take more than an hour to make an Ahi Tower. There is NOONE in the dining room but us so it’s not like they’re busy. We have a party of 14 people so I expected slow service. But seeing that no one is eating here but us… an hour is just upsetting. I’ve been a server before so I like to give plenty of compassion. But when no once comes to apologize for the long wait, refill our water, or anything… grrr ya know? Alright it’s 8:35 and I just got my food but they got the order wrong. I feel a bit happier since I just ate bc food actually solves everything but still this is pretty unacceptable. My friend complained to the manager and they tried to appease us by giving us three desserts. Gee thanks gotta wait for those now too. They also gave us three $ 10 off coupons for the next time we visited. Just three. I’m not trying to be unthankful or anything but that’s a minor minor expense to them considering most of their dishes are already in the $ 30 mark. And again, we had fourteen people in our party. So let’s do the math… each person got around $ 2 back. How nice of them. No percentage off our bill or anything. I didn’t take the coupons bc there’s no way I’m ever coming back. I’m going to McDonald’s next time yo. Food was good so that earned them a star. Otherwise…1 star Im sorry, I’m actually a really nice person! But this experience has sent me running 100 mph away from this place.

First review because I believe this is worth reviewing. I went to this specific location for a party and I was highly disappointed at the service. A reservation was made, but the table was not even set up by the time we got there, so we had to wait. It took 3 different times asking for chopsticks and a napkin before I actually received one. Food took forever in coming out, but my party was 1 of 5 parties at the restaurant. Each party consisted of 1 – 3 people. I don’t believe it should take that long. When the food finally came out, some orders were messed up and I’ve honestly had better sushi. We rarely had a server come and refill our waters or clear our table, so we were pretty crowded. I believe my water was refilled once in the hour or two that we were there. I did not understand what was going on, and I am completely unsatisfied with this restaurant. We received coupons for unsatisfactory service that we can use next time we go. We can throw those coupons away cause we’re not coming back. By the way, that warped mirror in the restaurant needs to go. Headache central.

Food was ok. Hubby and are self proclaimed food critics hailing from Chicago and Los Angeles respectively. Haha! But in all seriousness the service was a bit slow and the rolls were ok. Ambience is cool. Probably won’t be back!

I loved the place! We had a group of 20 for my birthday, the waiters/waitresses were a little confused and didn’t have it all together but they managed to pull through okay. Atmosphere was trendy and I had the filet mignon and asparagus and mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS!!!

Great sushi and great service. Even a novice can enjoy this place. Prices are good and service is fast. Even great for kids. The sushi was amazing today. I didn’t think it could get any better but it did. 5 out 5 stars!

I’ve been to every Blue Fishing now and I have to say this one is awesome! This location seems more spacious. They weren’t blaring loud music which made conversation much easier. The service was perfect. Server was super kind and helpful. The food was spot on. It is consistent from one location to another. If it wasn’t so far away I would visit more often. Totally love Blue Fish!

Food alright. Squid salad… Was good .your usual squid salad Sushi… We ordered 3 signature rolls. Tiger roll. tastes very similar to a caterpillar with a spicy seasoning on too The firecracker roll was the best out of the 3 and it was pretty good … The rock Manhattan was not good at all. The spicy tuna on top with i think was salmon but look more like a crab stick didnt taste right and there was some kind of sauce on it that tasted like Dijon mustard i had one bit . Drinks The chu cucumber cocktail was delicious… very refreshing and not overwhelming sweet nor was it too strong The house pinot gringo. it was very good Service We sat at the bar and there were 5 other couples. One bartender. He was nice and helpful. Atmosphere The entire place and nice blue lighting. Plenty of tvs even in the dinning area. There is an upstairs.bar.dinning area and outdoor patio. Happy hour There is a daily happy hour from 430 – 7. As well as a daily special. Tuesdays are 5 $ martinis on certain ones. They do have a loyalty program but the bartender failed to mention that .i read it on their website Overall I probably wont come back. It was alright… i didnt leave with a bad experience and i didnt leave craving the food.

Great sushi! We went on Halloween so everyone was dressed in really cool costumes. Everything was very original. The service was great. Our server had some great suggestions, gave us space and time to look at the menu and decide but he also didn’t leave us stranded. It was a little pricey(about $ 70 for 2 people… 2 sushi rolls, 2 orders of sushi that had 2 pieces each, edamame, and 1 crown and coke) but I will definitely go back. It was really good!

Another 5 star dining experience at this Blue Fish location. The management here is doing it right! The staff is trained very well! Something I noticed the first time we came here. The staff is also very attentive to their tables. This location has only been open for 3 months so I’m hoping the consistency and quality of the food and level of professionalism for the staff continues. We will be back again. Food rocks!

I was really disappointed in the food, because the restaurant looks really nice on the inside and had a fun vibe(like Social 121 did). Unfortunately, the sushi needs a lot of work, I mean A LOT. Sushi rice was TERRIBLE. Along with fresh fish, sushi rice is the most aspect in sushi making. I will not be returning to this place for sushi ever again. If I do go back, it’ll most likely for HH only. Also, the calamari was extremely overcooked with a thick batter. Overall, this place needs a lot of improvement. I’ve been to the one for HH in Allen, and I must have not eaten sushi there.
