upon the recommendation of a friend i visited Swagruha kitchen, with the hope i get authentic taste of sweets. it was disappointing. I have tasted sweets called: Arisalu, Misore pak, minapa vundalu, gavval, and sakinalu. out of those sakinalu and gavvalu were okay. all the other sweets were not to my expectations. Not much clarified ghee smell and authentic spice smells, like cardimum smells, etc. to me those are not real swagruha foods as the title implies. Further more there is a problem of not charging the tax, which could mean tax evasion. The quality needs to be improved a lot, so also unlawful business practices.

Great place to pick up food when you don’t want to cook. They are reasonably priced. Costs $ 6 for vegetarian and $ 8 for non-vegetarian. This is only take out. No place to dine.

We hired Swagruha Kitchen to cater for us during this long weekend. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Chicken 65, Fish Curry, Chicken Curry, & Eggplant Curry. They did show up on Indian Standard Time(45Mins — 1 Hr past Requested Time), which was not an issue for us. Fish Curry and Chicken curry were good. Eggplant Curry was not edible and no one liked it. Chicken Biryani was not very tasty and they drenched it with food color as all the rice was orange and red for some strange reason. Chicken 65 was not that good either. I am still rating them 2.5−3 stars as they are an average kitchen to go pick up some food when you need some at home due to a busy schedule or other factors, but I would not recommend them for a catering job based on my experience.
