Best Tex Mex place around. Excellent margaritas, phenomenal black bean dip starter, always packed though, plan accordingly. Love that there’s coupons too. I will take guests/visitors here as well.

Favorite fall back Mexican in Frisco. Always crowded and tables are too close together but service is decent and food above average. Good drinks and not too expensive. Kid friendly. As with any Frisco restaurant go early or you’ll be waiting.

Sour cream chicken enchiladas are the best around. Tortilla soup is excellent although they could leave out the potato in there. I still order it because it’s so good. Tamales are good. Fajitas are decent, not awesome, but certainly decent. Chicken nachos very good, too. Needless to say, I’ve eaten here many times. Happy hour all day Sun-Thurs, $ 3 margs! They’re not the best but hey, $ 3? If they upgraded the house tequila and went to $ 4, I’d be giving this place a 5 star.(Hint to management) Oh, almost forgot, the salsa is excellent. I order extra to take home when I go.

Been going to this place since we moved to Plano 1 ½ years ago… We go frequently with our neighbors who have been going there for years. They make some great food!!! My wife gets the shrimp cocktaik and shrimp salad every time we go. I’ve been hooked on their brisket tacos for months… best i’ve had with a slice of avocado and tomato… Yum, yum, yum!!!

ok, so my Unilocal Boo(Venus) and I were getting ready for the weekend on a Tuesday LOL! We had dinner at another local restaurant and decided to go for a margarita here at Salsas. People often tease me about being a regular at certain spots… well this was Cheers to Venus LOL! We walked right in and were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar. The restaurant wasn’t packed but it had a nice crowd and the bartender was steady flow busy. By Venus talking about the margaritas, I already knew what I was going to order. The bartender was able to break away and come take our orders and made them right away. I’ve had margaritas that used fresh squeezed orange juice and I thought that was simply divine… I believe Salsas uses that same method(i’m not sure), but this was a DAYUMGOOD margarita. I despise a margarita that’s straight mix tasting… this was not the case. It was so fresh, smooth and refreshing. Of course, I had my usual tequila shot and that was a wrap. The service was kinda slow, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was due to the demand of other patrons… but we shall see. OH… did I mention the margaritas are $ 3ALLDAY Sunday — Thursday!!! «happy dance» LOL I’ll definitely be back, can’t say particularly for the food(as I’ve been to another location and wasn’t impressed with the food… more than once), but I’ll definitely be back for the drinks! LOL

The Brisket Enchiladas were the best enchiladas I’ve ever had. The bean dip and salsa were delicious. Great margaritas also. Great service!

A friend recommended this restaurant and it was not bad. Had a family outing with dad, mom and both of our daughters. The atmosphere was pleasant the sevice was good. We were served right away with salsa, bean dip and chips, waitress was on point. Husband order carne asada, I order the beef plate, one of our daughters order the fajita quesadillas and our youngest order the chicken strip plate. All plates were hot upon receiving at the table. I also had a margarita it was really good, not to strong/weak. I would recommend if you like Texmex food. We, as a family enjoyed it.

Came in for lunch on Saturday. It felt like a sports bar/Mexican restaurant because of all of the tv’s all over the place but over all I really enjoyed it. Service was fast and accurate. We hot refills on both drinks and chips without getting asked. Food was good. I judge a place by their rice and beans first and I was not impressed with either. Rice had a weird, processed taste while the beans(at least to me) were a little undercooked. Overall everyone was happy with their drinks and food so if I take everyone’s opinion into consideration then they get 4 stars.

After going a few more times and having more items on the menu I am compelled to upgrade the rating to 4 stars(3 stars for the food and 5 stars for the happy hour). The fajitas are not bad but not great –3 stars The chips and quest are also average –3 stars Brisket tacos weren’t bad but not as flavorful as I like — 3 stars Chimichangas — 2 stars Overall — 3 stars The happy hour is fantastic. Great hours(all day sunday through thursday). Cant beat that! And the prices are also unbeatable 3 – 4 $ for various kinds of margaritas and wines. There are a lot of other cocktails that are almost as cheap as well. And the margaritas I had were not watered down either. — 5 stars

Outstanding. Excellent house and swirl margaritas; generous portions of ultra fresh shrimp tacos and veggie quesadillas. Excellent attention to detail such as guacamole and pick. Try the white queso.

By far the best service, food, presentation and taste I have had in a while. I definitely underestimated this place, what a pleasant surprise! I had the tortilla soup– pretty sure it’s the best I’ve ever had. And my mom and I split the pollo con hongos– tons of vegetables, chicken seasoned and cooked to perfection… I can’t wait to actually order a specialty item! :) Don’t miss out on this hidden gem

So I thought 730 in Plano would be quiet. Boy was I wrong. There was a wait outside the door, but fortunately it was only about 15 minutes. The main host guy/owner/manager was very friendly, but I have to say the woman who sat us was not. We started with the Queso Blanco which in Spanish must mean nom nom nom. It was soooo good. You have to order it. The chips and salsa were also very good. Bean dip was meh. I ordered the fajitachanga which I did not like. It was just too much cheese and not really my cup of tea. Dad has Tacos al Carbon which he liked, but was too full from eating chips and the White Queso. We had the Sopapillas with Ice Cream and Honey which were dusted with sugar and cinnamon. Mmm mmm mmm! We asked for some to go boxes and some salsa to go. They gave us one small container of salsa to go, but if we wanted another they would charge us for it. Kind of broke the spell on an otherwise pleasant dinner. I give it 3.5 but am rounding down due to the salsa incident. Bleh!

The food was really good. 3 stars for the food, but HUGE marks down for service. WHAT waiter just walks away after you say«Yes, i’m ready to order» then proceeds to ignore the table for 10 minutes while 2 customers out of 14 have not yet placed their orders. THEN argues with the customers that he didn’t realize they were ready to order. UMMMM, excuse me? Only 12 people at a time can order? Needless to say, Alfredo was lacking tips from 2 of us. And more negative marks because my drink was not refilled, despite my asking for it to be refilled. Jamie’s Favorite was good. BUT pretty bland. NO onions in the enchilada and SOME spice somewhere would have been nice. Refried beans do not match the good taste of the black bean dip. Guacamole was sparse, and there was a LOT of liquid, probably from the letttuce it was served on, under it. Chips were nice and thin. Refills of chips and bean dip were efficient.

After a strange night of getting two numbers from cougars going through same life event as me, strangers/drunkards venting/sharing hugs, stranger picking up drink tab and friendly man and I talking religion, I thought it was the perfect time to finally leave review for Salsa. I usually visit Salsa during happy hour for a $ 3 margarita and complimentary bean dip/chips. I have ordered beef fajita enchiladas previously and was not disappointed. The service at the bar is always good. Salsa has become a regular stop for me as it’s minutes from me. Highly recommend especially after a stressful week during happy hour!

This place will be a great place for happy hour. The margaritas are $ 3.00 at happy hour and let me tell you they are very very poignant. You have more than two and you will need to call Über. Better yet one will be just fine. I ordered brisket tacos and my co worker ordered chile relleino(stuffed pepper) And sour cream enchiladas. The service is good as well. This place is at legacy and independence in Plano, tx and it is well worth it. Oh yea! The charro beans are THEBOMB!!!

More like 3.5 stars. Okay okay, so maybe it was my fault that I wasn’t in the mood for Tex-mex food when my family stumbled upon this restaurant because it was one of the few places still open at 10PM for dinner. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Salad, which I know is weird, but I do appreciate that they had healthy alternatives instead of the heavier entrée options. The salad was definitely healthy, the dressing was very light, but reminded me of a watery salsa. I wish there were more toppings on the salad, but instead I got two slices of cucumber and tomato. And not enough queso fresco. However, the salmon was nicely grilled and I thought there was a decent amount of that at least. I just wish it was a little tastier, but it was a solid healthy option. Service was a little slow, considering that it wasn’t very packed. We almost thought they forget to bring us an extra plate because it took them almost 10 minutes to bring us one. The bean dip was very yummy and very filling!(Which is another reason why I opted for a lighter entrée.) Their tex mex entrees are generous and priced reasonably. I am interested in trying their brisket tacos, so I will probably come back when I’m in the mood and skip the salad(Sorry for trying to be healthy…)

This is a cute little restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. On a Friday night it was pretty packed. The furniture is a bit outdated and not very comfortable. The bar area was pretty but not very spacious. If there is a wait, there really isn’t anywhere to wait. To start I ordered a sangria and my boyfriend ordered a margarita. My sangria was way too sweet. It tasted like they added too much sugar. My boyfriends margarita however was great! Each were priced at $ 6. Not bad. The chips they serve are fresh and come out hot. The salsa has a good flavor but it’s not very spicy. For dinner I ordered the chicken fajita nachos and my boyfriend got the brisket tacos. My chicken nachos were very good. The chicken was tender and had a great flavor to them. My boyfriends tacos were good. The brisket had a great flavor to them. Very juicy. Overall a nice little restaurant. I’d give 3 ½ stars but Unilocal doesn’t allow for ½. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is a good size but also very loud. It seemed to be a very family friendly restaurant but more older families with kids above 12 years old. I would definitely come here again if in the area.

I’ve been here twice this week. Both times have received excellent service… Great food and fun atmosphere! Try the Mexican martini! For food. The grilled quail is great for those who want authentic, with white Spanish rice and black beans. For Tex Mex the steak nachos are incredible as is the beef enchiladas and delicious salsa! I will be back!
