Recently ordered food from On the Border at this location from Grubhub. Was told the order would take approx. 1 hour 15 min, no big deal. 2 hours later, still no food and I had not heard from anyone regarding the order so I called Grubhub who then connected me to the someone affiliated with the restaurant. The woman apologized and said there was a mix up in the kitchen and my order was not made yet. I was then told if I still wanted the food, they could remake it and then she mentioned something about a refund. I then said sure I would take the refund and I would wait for them to remake the food. I thought this was just excellent customer service to refund the order considering if I was a patron that was eating at the establishment, and I waited a length of time above and beyond what would have been considered acceptable, most restaurants will at least provide some sort of discount or comp the food. So three hours later, I finally received my food. Waited a week or so for the refund, no refund. I called Grubhub again who spoke with the restaurant after I explained my story and they stated the restaurant was unwilling to offer any sort of refund at all. This apparently was a miscommunication which I found out later the woman I spoke with offered they remake the food OR refund my money. Had I known that, I would have told them forget it and gotten food elsewhere. I’ve never actually eaten here because I had never heard great things about their food and now knowing how they treat their customers I will continue to avoid it.

I was in last Sunday for Father’s Day and our server Wesley was wonderful, he went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat and Wesley gave us several recommendations and he was very attentive to our needs as a table. We don’t go to On the Border very often last time we were there we didn’t have a very good experience but we figured we would give it another chance and I’m glad we did we will definitely be back to this location.

Not exactly sure if they were understaffed or what, but I came in today with about 10 people. There weren’t that many customers and we saw many OTB employees so we didn’t think it would be a problem, though we were more than happy to be patient with such a large party. We were seated and served by a single employee who took our drink orders, which is when the problems began. He came back with the drinks and promptly forgot who ordered what as well as which drinks were what(many ordered cokes, diet cokes, dr. pepper, and diet dr. pepper which all look similar). Once we played musical drinks and eventually sorted things out he took our food orders. About 45 minutes later the food came out along with more problems. Some people didn’t get their food and some orders were wrong. I ordered the fajita steak salad and was given a salad missing many things(including the steak!) I’ve worked in the food industry so I know it can sometimes be tough, especially for large orders, but that’s when you have to swallow your pride and ask for some help. I’m not sure if there just wasn’t anyone to help the employee or perhaps he just wanted to keep the tip all to himself.

We showed up with 6 in our party three adults and three kids. The service started out great and the food was excellent. My only issue is that I was eating a bit slower than everyone else and when the place started to get busy I felt as though we were being rushed out the door. I was stills eating and service was clearing the entire table. Overall the experience was good and the food was excellent.

Visited OTB May 5th with a group of 20 for lunch. Manager assigned(1) waiter to our table… need I say more? After 30 minutes we were served drinks. Another 20 minutes the waiter took our order and another 25 minutes before the food was served. The waiter did the best job possible but an experienced manager would have 2 servers on a table this size. Atmosphere on the patio is great… just take your group elsewhere.

We just stopped in for a quick happy hour adult beverages. We sat at a high top and was waited on by Evan, who was also the bartender. Did a good job. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Decent food but delivery from this location is awful. Placed an order at 6pm on a Sunday night, just called at 9:35pm and my expected delivery time is still 15 minutes out!

Amazing food! On your next visit to this facility, make sure you ask for waiter named Wesley. He pay attention to detail. Friendly attentive took care of things before I needed to ask. Next time if your wife or spouse doesn’t know what he/she wants, start with the Queso and the Border sampler.

Came here a while back. The place was practically empty when we arrived and they were still very slow. The quality made up for it though. The food was good and the waiter was friendly. I will go try it again soon and post up here if anything has changed.

Omg! There is NOT fajitas for 2! The waiter was so uneducated that we thought we were ordering fajitas for 2 and he didn’t bother to correct us just brought out the fajitas for 1! On top of that the meat was disgustingly dry Needless to say I didn’t get to eat. Not a place I will ever go to again… what Mexican restaurant doesn’t have fajitas for 2???

Wow! My daughter and I were in the mood for Tex-Mex, so we stopped by the 15th Street location. It had been a while since we had dined there and things have definitely improved. I loved the Coronita Margarita and the server’s suggestion of the enchiladas was right on! Although we’re not aregular customers, the manager Jane made us feel genuinely welcome and checked on us a few times during our meal. Cass, our server, was outstanding. He was just the right amount of friendly, seemed genuinely concerned, and our food came out quicker and even better than I was expecting. I’ve found a place close to home where I know I’ll feel valued as a customer and have some high-fun food and drinks!

I waiver between 3 and 4 stars. This really is a staple for us. I think I may eat out too much… Nah! Service has always been good. Food is standard to good. Pitchers of margaritas are fun. Atmosphere is usually very nice. Table side Guacamole still is one of the best around. So the 3 star would be that I was served bad fish for the fish tacos one night. It was bad. Tasted and smelled bad. Even the server said EWww when he smelled it as I was asking to send it back. They did take it off the bill without being asked but I still got sick later. Sometimes it happens but it’s never fun.

Food was pretty good, but our server was awesome. Ask for Wesley. He kept our drinks full, was attentive, and polite without being annoying.

Looking for a lite bite for lunch… or a heavy trough of food, then O-T-B might be for you. Had a lunch group today. Service was friendly, yet the food came slowly. I ordered the Border Lite combo of the Beef Tostado(Yum), Guacamole Tostado(Yum), Spinach Mushroom Enchilada(Yuck), and Cilantro Rice(Bland). For a light fare plate it was filling, but with a 50% miss on 2 of the 4 items, not a good thing. Once our checks were paid, the drinks/chips/salsas were never refilled… yet the restaurant wasn’t busy. I shouldn’t have to wait to pay the bill as long as I want refills. Restaurant was clean. That’s a bonus. Bottom Line: Friendly service, slow food to table, and 50% chance of combo items being hit/miss. So I’m 50⁄50 on returning… or not.

I’m giving this four stars, reviewing it as what it is. It’s a chain restaurant, and doesn’t claim to be anything else. It’s kind of rediculous for people to leave negative reviews bc it’s «not authentic.» No kidding. That said, we sat at the bar tonight, bartender was super friendly and very attentive. Great drink and food specials to boot. Food was good and definitely reasonable as well. Clean and well set up inside. I’d definitely go back for happy hour again. Give it a try :)

One word Gross! My husband had fajitas, he won’t complain, but I saw him chewing like he had gum. I had the pick two. Tortilla soup, tasted like dirty dishwater with raw onions, corn, sliced avacados, rice and a cheese. A guacamole toastada, this had black beans, the black beans made the guacamole hot. It was just bad we won’t go here on purpose. Everytime we come here its like a TV diner that should have stayed in the freezer.

Went in for a quick lunch. The bartender seems to carr about the regulars but still seems to pay attention to everyone. Food came out in ten minutes which is good for a lunch rush.

If I wanted microwaved food and terrible service, I would have stayed home and had my toddler serve me.

Won’t say much but if you’re in for some good mexican food don’t come here. This restaurant was owned by Darden which is the same as Chili’s. If you know Chili’s you’d know what I am talking about. Real Mexican food is elsewhere but if you want microwaved frozen food come here. That is all.

As a first time customer at this location, I did not leave feeling welcome or inclined to return. I ordered fajitas to go at an off time, about 2:00pm. When I arrived, the bartender was nice and went to track down my order and the receipt since the receipt wasn’t with the food. No big deal, he assures me my order is complete. A server came and slapped my receipt down with barely a mumble, and left me no pen to sign it with. I generally tip on To Go orders, but since the friendliness of the staff wasn’t there, I didn’t tip. I left the bar without so much as a word from anyone in the empty restaurant. Then I arrived home to see that my order was missing the tortillas, pico, and the side items that come along with it. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, and if there were ANY other customers I would assume that the lack of manners was due to being busy. But the Bartender Steve was nice.
