Wife and I had the pleasure of going to there tonight, we were pleasantly surprise at the speed of derive, food quality and most of all the service from Ally. Great job. We will be back for sure. Thanks for the service Ally. Good luck in school. You will do very well. Rich and Gee

Wish I could have given a better review but 2 stars is the best I can do based on my experience here. So I came here with wife on a weekday evening. The restaurant was clean and not busy with a few empty seats. We were immediately led to our booth seat and our waitress brought us a glass of water and the menu and left. That was the last time we saw our waitress or anybody for a while before we decided enough is enough and left. They must have been understaffed, but that does not explain why nobody came to check on us for a while or even asked us why we were leaving when we walked passed the check-in desk. We were looking for a place with a nice vibe but what I noticed in this location was mostly seniors(No pun intended), no music, no TV’s, just plain quiet. Also, BYOB. Will I come back? Probably, but hope the management makes the place a little more lively and gets a wait staff that is attentive so that they don’t have customers walk out due to lack of service.

The second star is given because the manager/owner was concerned I hadn’t eaten my dinner. Truth be said, you would get more fanfare if you went to Red Lobster. We were seated immediately and waited a good 10-minutes for our waitress to greet us and ask what we would like to drink, and that was after the manager did her walk around, checking on the front of the house We ordered the seafood appetizer platter to start(fried clams, fried shrimp, fried calamari rings and crab rangoon) and then we knew dinner would be downhill from there, aside from the service yellow flag. Appetizers and the fried cod dinner plate appeared that they came out of the frozen food section. Husband’s blackened fish was editable but nothing to write home about. We would not return.

These people are so nice. Catfish is great. The potatoes and onions are great. They treated my parents so nicely for years. The atomosphere is out of date but who cares. It is about food and customer service. Its nice to see a business like this around. If you like hole in the wall places, come here. I don’t think they sell crab though?! This place isn’t going to be like a chilis that wants to get you in and out as fast as possible. You can sit and talk there as long as you want. quiet and relaxing. It is a different culture.

Went here last week with the husband. Food was great! He had blackened snapper and I had the grilled salmon. We both liked mine better, but his was still really good.

0 stars not available! Rude as hell! Have eaten here a few times. One day ordered only kids meal for baby. They we’re very rude, guess we were not spending enough money today. The food was thrown together and not presentable to even look appealing. No thank you for your business. They did not say even a cat dog sh*t nothing. When other customers leaving behind us oh they were singing thank you thank you for your business. Really fake owner manager whoever she was. Service and food less than 1 star or negative –5 star!

We decided to give Ocean Seafood another try for a late lunch the other day. There were no other customers there so we got great service. Pam had their snails. She had been wanting to go back for a long time and it was well worth the trip. She also had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. That would have been my choice since I’ve had it before and enjoyed it immensely. I had the Peel n eat Spicy Shrimp. I’ve had boiled shrimp for over 50 years and I have to admit that these were the best I’ve ever tasted. I think they were marinated before being boiled. I thought that they had been sautéed from their appearance. Anyway, if you want to give your taste buds a treat, try out Ocean Seafood and Grill @ Coit and Spring Creek in Plano.

I had catfish and fries. It was really flavorful. It’s hard to find good catfish in Plano. I will go back. I also had bread pudding. It was good as well.

I went there for lunch. When I entered the restaurant, I noticed only one table of people. However, there were no staff to be seen; no waiters, not bus staff, no host. I waited and waited. I starred at the décor for a minutes. I just walked out the door. Obviously, they are not interested in serving more than one table at lunch. Don’t bother going there.

Came here with my spouse to checked it out. Price is not bad for lunch and it does taste pretty good. I would like to go back again for dinner…

Good crabcakes and fresh veggies! I used to come here all the time when I lived in Plano just for that. It’s nice to know there’s good seafood in the area… definitely a rare find in DFW. It’s tucked inside of a small shopping center. Come by and give them a try. Friendly service and fast if you need to pick it up and take it to go. I look forward to trying many more dishes here!

Wife and I are new to Plano after 2 years in No Virginia and the rest of my life as a native«close to the beach» Californian… We like our seafood and we are big catfish fans… Had a door Hanger from this place and went to give it a run… Very surprised… Catfish breading was really light and not oily at all as were the fried shrimp… coleslaw was a bit runny but some people like it that way… we will absolutely make this a monthly stop…

Huge portions! I have enough from last night’s dinner to make dinner tonight. I had the 3 fried seafood combo — Calamari, clam strips and cod. I had forgotten how good cod tastes! The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were delicious, as well. One of my companions had the fried catfish and that looked good as well. Another companion had escargot, it smelled so tempting! I may have to try it.

The fried shrimp was decent. Everything else was awful. Salads are served with very cheap store bought dressing. My «blue cheese» had lumps in it but it wasn’t cheese. Barf. The bread pudding was served with a sauce that used margarine instead of butter. Gotta love it when you can see the chemicals in your food separate before your eyes. As I write this, there are survey check boxes at the bottom asking me what Ocean Seafood & Grill is «Good For.» Unfortunately, there isn’t a «Nothing» box.

Great seafood for a great price! I come here all the time, so get ready for some detail. Basically memorized the menu. Highlights: Fried Seafood 1) Shrimp Monday night special! $ 6.99 for 8 shrimp with 2 sides, usually cole slaw and fries but they’re super nice about substitutions(garlic bread, hush puppies, fried potatoes and onion, veggies, you name it). 2) Catfish Wednesday night special! $ 6.99 for 2 catfish filets and 2 sides 3) Oysters — oh my. My Fav. I’ll usually get the 2 ocean combo with oysters and shrimps and get hush puppies and veggies as my sides. Stuff of my dreams. Pasta(comes with 1 side) — For when I feel skinny and I can take a calorie hit. 1) Imperial — creamy lobster sauce with scallops and shrimps and lots of other stuff swimming about 2) Seafood Diablo — spicy marinara with crab and scallop and other good stuff 3) Blackened Salmon Alfredo — guilty pleasure but so good! Angel hair pasta substitution makes it even better. Everything else! 1) Fish — blackened always! The cajun kick makes all the difference. Blackened snapper is my favorite. 2) RAW oysters — big, clean, stunning, the only way it should be. 3) Homemade bread pudding — fuh-reaking ridiculous. Get it get it get it. 4) Best cocktail sauce and tartar sauce out there. I can’t eat other restaurants’ cocktail sauces anymore. It just doesn’t taste right. Oceans makes their sauces from scratch and you can taste the difference. BYOB! Corkage fee is super low, less than a dollar per person at the table that is drinking. Whew! That was a long one. This place should definitely have more stars. Unilocal is usually reliable, but not with this one. Only the haters seem to be coming out. Oceans does so many things right, and for prices that you really can’t get anywhere else. So just go!

Ok, I have to admit, I am not a big seafood guy, but this restaurant is simply the best seafood restaurant ever! I’m not kidding. No one can make seafood pasta and grilled fish the way this place can and the prices are VERY reasonable. It starts with the moment you walk in – great customer service, delightful ambiance and clean. As you wait for your food, tak a look around and take notice to the happy patrons dining, but especially the home grown murals drawn by the owner’s daughter. The experience is quite special because it is a mom and pop shop product with all the right touches. I can’t wait to go back!

Best seafood for a great price! I used to come here with my family almost every week and now that I’m in Los Angeles for college, I just dream about the food from hundreds of miles away. Oceans is still a must-go when I come home on breaks. Waitresses are always pretty and friendly, and Mary, the cute Asian lady that owns the place, always takes the time to stop by the table and ask us about our lives. All the regulars at Oceans love Mary. Sometimes she’ll bring us her homemade candied pecans during Christmas time or a couple glasses of wine if we forgot to bring our own. She rocks. But let’s get to the really important stuff. FOOD. Oceans is best known for their fried seafood. Monday night is jumbo shrimp night and wednesday night is fried catfish night. They come with sides, usually french fries and cole slaw, but if I’m not in the mood, Oceans is really nice about substitutions. Usually I’ll get a side of hushpuppies instead(delicious deep fried cornbread balls –giggle-) and maybe the garlic bread(homemade and so yummy). The cocktail and tartar sauce are to die to for — I can’t eat subpar tartar and cocktail sauce anymore. Pastas are also really yummy, and the portions are huge. I usually have enough to take home for a delectable lunch the next day. I suggest the salmon alfredo, seafood imperial(lobster alfredo sauce), or the seafood diablo(spicy marinara). Sooo goood I die. ALSO, surprisingly great raw oysters. My boyfriend hated oysters until I took him here. Now he can’t stop talking about them. But yeah, big, clean, and sweet — not fishy whatsoever(that’s what she said, hehe). Finally, I don’t know what Niki W is talking about. Bread pudding is homemade and simple perfection. Every place makes it different, and I’m a huge fan of the Oceans version. I could go on forever. I’ve had my share of great food in LA, but Oceans is still at the top of my list. Go go go!
