Breakfast tacos were very tasty and I especially liked the green sauce. Great prices.(My stars are breakfast only) Lunch tacos were not nearly as tasty. Not much flavor.

Delicious. Authentic. Made to order. Didn’t get 5 stars only because there is no good place to sit and it’s buried inside a Shell station. Fresh-made gas station Mexican food is typically awesome, and this is no exception.

I’m sad to read that my fellow Unilocaler and one of my favorite people in the world, Karen did not enjoy her experience here because i actually REALLY enjoyed this place. My guess is they read Karen’s review and upped their game: P Came here reluctantly. If you care enough you’ll note how many check-ins i have at Rusty Taco. Either way, I decided to be adventurous and eat outside my box. VENUE: Located inside a Shell Gas Station. Gas Station food? Umm… yes that means it’s going to be good. FOOD: Ordered one of each. The batch of tacos I tried were all pretty good. Meat was cooked well with just enough flavoring. And if you’re a chili head like me, you’ll enjoy the salsa. SERVICE: There was a little bit of a challenging bridging the Spanish to English gap but I think we fared well. They were friendly and patient as we tried to rattle off menu items and quantities in the little spanish we had.

stopped to pick up a couple of breakfast burritos this morning. this place is inside a gas station so don’t look for signs from the street. the breakfast burritos were cooked to order. I had the churizo burrito and my wife had the sausage burrito. Neither one of us were impressed. both burritos were bland. The size was decent for 2.99 but I’d rather go get a sausage burrito from mcd’s for $ 1.

I’m on a quest to find the best street tacos in the Dallas area. Since moving to Texas these are the best Pastor tacos I have tried so far. Chitos and Dona Mary’s are runners up. The reason I am not giving four stars is because I had a side of refried beans and rice that were not good at all. They weren’t inedible after doctoring them up a bit with lime and hot sauce. The beans were way too watery and flavorless and the rice was too dry and crunchy from sitting under the heat lamps. Plus they gave me sliced lemons and I prefer limes which I had to get my own from home. I’m not sure if they gave me lemons cause the prices of limes are going up or they just ran out. I would for sure go back for the tacos and try different kinds and just avoid the side dishes. This place will be my go to place to get my street taco fix. I am still continuing my quest though lol!

Great street tacos justified by the number of folks rolling in at noon. Carnitas was great today and the fajita was good as well. The sauces were very flavorful(red being the hottest, green with nice full flavor) and suggested for either. Totally worth going just know that: 1) No seating(yet…the guy inside said table were coming???) 2) As of Feb 1st, 2014 they will stop taking credit; worker said the interest rate was too high so if anyone can help… hint hint. 3) get there a little before noon so as to beat the true lunch rush! Enjoy! I sure do!

I usually love gas station tacos and don’t hesitate giving them a try. However, the fajita and pastor meat were both very lean, chewy and lacked flavor. Their salsa roja and verde are very good though. I even tried the breakfast burrito, but it just felt like eating egg and tortilla. Nooo flavor. Wish I could say better things about this place, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

what a gem of a taco place inside a gas station! They use really fresh tortillas for the breakfast burritos. They are huge and come to $ 3.29 with tax. Good toppings, hot salsa, delicious little family run place.

After reading the reviews I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. If I hadn’t read it was inside a Shell Station I would have still be driving around. Thank you to the reviewer that pointed this out. I did stand in line behind numerous construction workers but worth the wait. I tried the pork tacos and beef tacos. There were two kinds of pork — one was cubed with a sauce and one was in strips and kind of dry. The steak had some fat on it but not bad. When I go back I will get the cubed pork with the sauce on all my tacos. The server said the red sauce was the hottest and he was correct. He also gave me some green sauce and said it was mild, however it did have a little kick and was also good. I can’t decide which one I like better. I had onions and cilantro for the garnishment on corn tortillas. The man taking my order was very pleasant and had a smile for everyone.

YUM! I had the pork tacos and it was pretty tasty! Very juicy and great flavor. Coworkers had the carne asada ones and said it was good too. The chicken ones were just OK. Red salsa is mild and good; Green salsa was great for the spicy lovers. Nice little surprise for delicious, authentic tacos and in the middle of north plano. It is in a gas station and pretty easy to locate once you know it’s inside the Shell convenience store. No tables and they take credit card.

This review is for the breakfast ‘burritos’(more like big tacos) I went in and ordered the sausage/egg burritos… ‘we’re out of sausage’… bummer! I normally order sausage because I find that it usually has more flavor because most places grind up their bacon into dust and put a pinch on and call it a bacon/egg burrito… so I was kinda disappointed… Then I looked and their burritos are about the size of a whataburger taquito… so far my hopes in this mom n’ pop place are dwindling… Ok, fine… I’ll grab my ‘burritos’ and be done and write a 3 star review… A few bites in… wait a minute! There is a big ol’ hunk of bacon in there! All of a sudden Jim Gaffigan rings in my head: «Yaaaaay bacon!» Wow… I could actually taste bacon… and it was thick sliced bacon at that! Wow… bump up a star for bacon! Mom n’ pop status restored!

Wish i’d found Rosie’s sooner! Sometimes you just want a quick taco fix, Rosie’s is perfect for this. Just have to keep in mind only open 6am — 2pm. Closed sunday and holidays.

I was a little disappointed when they said they didn’t have barbacoa anymore, but they have 3 meat choices for tacos. Pork, beef, and chicken. Simple enough. Tacos are slightly bigger than some places, but at $ 1.85 a piece it was still a little pricey compared to a lot of places. I had the beef(asada) tacos, pork(shredded carnitas) tacos, and two beef tamales. At $ 0.49 for tamales I had to try them. Tacos: The meats weren’t dry or anything but they had very little flavor. The green salsa was very very weak in flavor as well. It was somewhat spicy but if you’re used to green salsas then it is overall pretty weak. The pork was surprisingly moist, but lacked much needed flavor. The beef tasted almost exactly like Taco Cabana fajita meat but a little less tasty. Tamales: Mediocre, somewhat greasy, beef was not very good at all. I wish this place was better since it’s not that far from me, but there are plenty of other places that are cheaper and much tastier. I did notice the people behind me talking about their breakfast tacos, but I don’t think I’ll be back to try them.

TACOS!!! Heard about Rosie’s through a friend. It’s inside the Shell gas station C-Store. It’s a 1 – 2 person counter making authentic tacos and burritos, and tamales if you like. The tacos are what you want!!! 2 soft corn tortillas per taco, choose from carne asada(fajita steak), al pastor(pork), beef, and chicken I think. Simple toppings to choose from like cilantro, onions, lime, tomato, cheese, jalapenos, and red or green salsas. I ate the carne asada and pork tacos. The steak was really good, but the pork was awesome! Soft shredded carnitas, super flavorful! I kept it simple with cilantro, onions, lime juice, and green(HOT) salsa. At $ 1.85 each, I could eat these all day!!! Go to this gas station, and wait in line with all the construction workers, I guarantee it’s worth it!!!
