It’s decent enough. Had some General Tso’s chicken for lunch, it was good but the chicken pieces were too big, a pet peeve of mine. Also, no fortune cookies, which I found odd(even though technically they’re not Chinese… they’re still good!) … Place had some banners to vote for top 100 Chinese restaurants… not sure that it would be in the top 100 but it’s certainly good. Maybe top 50%? I’ll have to come back and try some of the true sichuanese cuisine and see :)

Tried this last night. The food my husband got was so oily and something in it made his mouth go numb. My dish was just ok. Nothing tasted fresh. I’m not sure how this place gets the ratings it does, but I know we won’t be back.

Portion is getting smaller and smaller! I don’t know what’s going on with management here, but for all the competition this place is having WITHINWALKINGDISTANCE, it should really step up a little! Very disappointed considering I’ve been coming to this place quite often before!!!

Good enough Sichuan food, nothing to write home about. I tried the Mao Cai(a big serving of all types of meats and a lot of bran sprouts in spicy chili sauce. Also the pork intestines and pork blood stew, which also come with brean sprouts and Enoki mushrooms, it was just… meh.

The dry hot pot here is very good and rivals some of the places in san gabriel/rosemead/monterey park, cali area. Plus they did not overload the pot with the«numb nuts(sichuan pepper corn» which makes your lips and mouth numb. The service was decent. Bring a chinese friend or you may not get the correct condiments or complementing sauce for your entrée(not that they cheat you on it, just you may not know to request).

This is a little mixed for me. I was highly frustrated on one hand when I called in 45 minutes early to place an order, and they wouldn’t pick up the phone, I called while I was on the way every 10 minutes, no answer. I arrived 15 minutes before close and they said«Sorry we are closed now, you should try to call in order» I said, «Well I’ve been calling for some time» She looked at the phone and said… «whoa looks like it’s out of juice… sorry» and that was that. No offer to cook anything nothing. That having been said we went back the next day and had some decent food. It wasn’t anything super special but we generally liked everything we had.

I freakin love everything about this place. The food is so good! Really spicy but worth the pain. Go with a big group and try as many things as possible. I love the round tables with the lazy susans that make eating family style even easier. The dan dan noodles, spicy wontons, and scallion pancakes are great starters. The chingchong chicken is to die for good, along with cumin beef, spicy fish soup, and eggplant. I especially enjoy the numbing sichuan peppercorns. I have intense cravings for the spicy food that keeps me coming back for more.

Went here for lunch with my parents. The prices and service were good. The food same out very quickly. We all started with the hot and sour soup. I really enjoyed the soup and thought it was some of the best hot and sour I have had. It was very rich and full of veggies and tofu. It was too spicy for my mom. The portion was a really good size for a starter. The egg rolls that same with the lunch specials were completely vegetables. It seemed to be lettuce instead of cabbage which was odd. My mom got the shrimp in lobster sauce which appeared to have frozen peas and carrots. My orange chicken was good, but not at all spicy. Also, the fried rice was a little more bland then I like my fried rice to be. It did not have that rich brown color from being fired. My dad’s eggplant with vegetables he enjoyed but it lacked other vegetables and was mostly just eggplant. Food overall needed a little work, might be back to try some more unique offerings outside of the lunch specials.

After binge watching I’ll Have What Phil’s Having in a couple days, I knew that I had to try some sort of Sichuan food and experience whatever the hell a «numbing hot» would be. Luckily for me a quick search of the series of tubes led me to Little Sichuan in Plano. I will say that the Sichuan food offered on this very large menu is legit, albeit greasy. That numbing hotness is present on the spicy dishes, but so is grease and maybe some soaked, low grade meat. Make sure that you know exactly what you are ordering, as the menu does not have a lot of descriptions available. You may end up ordering something that you didn’t have in mind. As others have mentioned, the service here is sometimes lacking. However, the food makes up for it. Pretty good, cheap Sichuan food tossed alongside the other favorites at Chinese restaurants.

Excellent food. Really clean and very nice in the inside. I got fish, egg drop soup l, and sautéed water Spanish. Everything came out great and the service was pretty good as well. Will definitely be coming back for more!

This was the first Sichuan place we tried after moving to Texas, and while it wasn’t terrible I’m glad we found others. Dumplings were from a package of previously frozen, and not even fully cooked all the way through. The sauce they were in was just ok, a bit bland, mostly oil. The pork belly appetizer was superb, it was the only thing. The mapo tofu was a bowl of red-dyed cornstarch with a ton of black pepper, and the tofu was low quality. We also tried the dry fried chicken and chilies. The flavor here was actually good, but the«veggies» we’re inexplicably a mix of bell peppers and previously frozen French fries. Not even kidding. I’m not sure if they were trying to Americanize the cuisine for us, but it was really bad and unauthentic. Service was ok. We were the only table occupied on a Sunday at around 1, and the staff was eating their own lunches at another, but they were pretty responsive, despite that.

Food is great. Service is… typical for an authentic Chinese restaurant. Not the most loving staff, but they get the food to you and that’s all I care about in places like this. I’m very happy to have this nearby. My wife is born and raised Sichuan and this hits all her checkboxes for great authentic food.

Good place for Sichuan cuisine. We got the fish fillets with spicy chili sauce, steamed bacon with garlic sauce, and the onion pancakes. Being that Sichuan food is known for their spiciness, this place didn’t disappoint. I would have given this restaurant four stars, however the service was not great. After our food came out, the waiters and kitchen staff were too preoccupied with watching television that we had to ask several times for service. I would come back for the food, but the service needs to step up a bit.

Not a place for a date or fine dinning, but good enough for a I-don’t-want-to-cook night. We ordered fresh fish in sour cabbage soup, pancake, and some others I don’t remember. Overall the food was satisfying but the service was kinda of lagging behind, maybe they need more people serving.

My time in Dallas is sadly winding down and now I’m at the point where I have to really pick and choose restaurants that remind me of good times. Today I craved mapo tofu, one of my favorite dishes because of this restaurant many years ago. I have tried mapo tofu in every Chinese restaurant in Dallas and this is always the best. Little Sichuan Cuisine gets the true ma-la(numbing hot) flavor that is Sichuan food. A lot of Sichuan restaurants rely only on hot chili oil for their dishes, but you need those annoying peppercorns to give you the true food experience from the famous Province. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then come here. I actually ordered the tofu, spicy beef with napa cabbage and dongpo pork, but the woman taking the order misheard my pork as kung pao pork. When I arrived, she did try really hard to get me to take the kung pao even after I repeatedly told her I wanted my original dish.(Asians are frugal and hate to waste, what can I say?) For a few seconds she looked annoyed that I wasnt relenting,(sorry, I drove 35 mins to get there) and said they were out of the orginal dish but recommended another pork belly. And then she said I could have the kung pao for free which was extremely generous and surprised the hell out of me. Even the other waitress was like, «really?» The pork belly was tender, fatty and surrounded by mustard greens and bok choy. The kung pao, although not something I typically order was really great. If you’re used to kung pao at cheap take out places, give this place a try. But the best out of the meat dishes was definitely the spicy beef. How do they get it so tender? Nothing like a big bowl of rice soaking up all that delicious sauce.

Went to the Asian supermarket in the same complex as this place, and the smell coming from the restaurant made me want to stop in. As somebody who grew up loving oldschool NYC Chinatown Cantonese food, the permeating smells were a draw. The inside décor is somewhat lackluster, but the atmosphere is very casual and it’s not distractingly bad or anything. However the menu’s paper inserts weren’t in order. Again — a small criticism. We came for the food anyway. The food was incredibly flavorful and authentic. We ordered the Chengdu dumplings, pork flat noodles, and a claypot of white fish. The Chengdu dumplings were nicely made, and the red oil sauce was both spicy and sweet. Personally speaking, it could have been even spicier — but the balance was safely done and delicious. The pork flat noodles were very good. Again — the balance was just right. It wasn’t drowned in soy like so many American-Chinese restaurants do with their chow fun. My girlfriend and I split the dish, but I could have eaten the whole plate myself. I would definitely order this again. The claypot white fish was the star of the night. The Sichuanese flavors were on point, and the amount of fish that comes in the pot for the 12 – 13 dollar price tag is a steal. Honestly, it could easily be split between 3 – 4 people and everyone would have enough. The pot was loaded with peppercorns and hot peppers, but the spice wasn’t debilitating. As with the dumplings, the spice keeps inviting you in for more. The service here did a fine job. Refilled our drinks when they were low. No complaints at all. If you want a place to have a taste of delicious Sichuanese spicy food without breaking the bank, or having to get dressed up then you should definitely come here.

What a nice spot for dinner. If you’re looking for fine dining, this isn’t the place. But if you want comfort food, then this place hits the spot. We order several items and they were all spicy except for the scallion pancake. The scallion pancake was ok… I’ve had better. The chengdu dumplings were good, but I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, the dishes were not too overly spicy and they were good. I would come back again if I am ever in the area.

Don’t listen to these other reviews that aren’t rated high. These people should go fake chinese restaurant with chef which is not from china. I’ve been eating at Little Sichuan for over 3 years, and it is still my absolute favorite szchuan restaurant. Not only does their food was very classical and spicy. especially compared with other similar restaurants. you can extremely find difference from dishes. but they are also more than willing to let you customize your order. I usually ask for fresh vegetables from owner’s yard or switch something. It may not be the best chinese restaurant, but they always try to make it. FIVESTARS!

This was my first venture to an authentic Sichuan restaurant and I was not disappointed. The ma po tofu was herbacious, light, saucy, and delicious. The serrano chicken had a very nice seer. It seemed like it was cooked at high heat. The oil and spice level was perfect for warming me up without making me feel on fire. The serranos added a lovely floral note that combined well with the spiced oil. The dumplings had another delicious chili sauce that was slightly sweet on them. You could eat it with a spoon it was so good! The green beans were crisp and refreshing. Very flavorful and fresh. Not saucy. Came with some ground beef that added some heartiness. We also had some hot tea with our meal. We got an ample serving in a metal tea pot. Service wasn’t intrusive and gave us what we needed. This is now one of my favorite restaurants!

Great place for some good shechuan taste. The bamboo appetizer is interesting and good if you like hot and spicy. Menu is traditional and taste authentic. Service staff will fine tune your order if you request to tweak the spice level. If you ask for Vegetarian version they can make it possible. Don’t hesitate to ask, staff is friendly and will explain the menu items. It’s a place for culinary exploration, the ambiance is not for date or business meeting.
