My wife was searching for a place selling raw grass fed milk and found this one. Very glad she did. Milk is very good. We like taking coffee with more milk and it tastes very good. Not to forget their yogurt. We have been buying here for the past 2 months and are looking forward to continue.

In my search for raw, grass fed milk, Lavon Farms is one of the only places I’ve found in Texas that sells it to regular consumers. I’m able to make cultured butter from the cream separated from the milk(it turns out a beautiful yellow, something that only grass fed milk produces), cultured buttermilk leftover from the butter, and fresh mozzarella from the skimmed milk. It’s $ 10 a gallon, which sounds expensive, but considering everything I use it for it’s very reasonable for high quality milk. Milk isn’t the only thing available either. Their drinkable yogurt, available in mango, banana, blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, piña colada, and others I’m probably forgetting, is excellent in the morning when you need a quick bite(or drink). There’s also cheese, butter(not cultured), and occasionally veggies produced from local farms. The owners are so friendly, offering to show you their cows or just chatting you up in general. I suppose Brian K writes bad reviews of all the grocery stores that have«Limit 1 per customer» on their ads too. Who needs more than 2 gallons of milk in a single day anyway? Tip: there’s now technology called«phones» now that allow you to call ahead and see if they have milk available. What a time to be alive.

How blessed we are in this huge city of Plano, TX to have an immaculate dairy farm! After months of promising myself I would go, I finally made the seven-mile trek two days ago to buy a gallon of raw milk. I truly have no words to adequately describe the amazing, rich flavor of their milk. I always enjoyed drinking milk, but fresh, raw milk is the best thing in the world for me! Like so very many others, I will never return to buying the homogenized«faux» milk sold in grocery stores that has successfully killed most of the nutrients and enzymes… and comparing the two(raw and homogenized) proves that in spades. My advice to others is to call ahead and find out if they have milk for sale that day. While they milk the cows twice a day, all milk is scrupulously tested by a dairy lab that happens to be behind right now. I am now and shall continue to be a huge fan of Lavon Farms!!!

1. Drinkable yogurt with live culture fresh from the farm. 2. Grass fed salted butter. 3. Raw milk. 4. local honey The freshness makes the flavor out of this world. This drinkable yogurt has all the benefits of Yakult and Kefir, but it is a LOTTASTIER for western palattes. Try the mango yogurt. It is ambrosia from Olympus.
