Rick is hands down the best Barber I’ve had. The man shows your hair the respect it deserves, and he refuses to let you out the chair without doing a complete 360 degree perfection check. The man pretty much got me my beautiful wife just with his haircuts, the waves were set to «sea sick.»

I’ve been growing my hair out a long time. I didn’t cut it for about a year, then chopped it all off, down to a short buzz, (1 on sides, 6 on top), an easy cut that I did at a chain. But then I grew it out again, this time for over a year, closer to a year and a half. But this time, i didn’t want to lose it all and just let anyone buzz it off.
Thus began my search leading me towards Rick’s place. I needed someone to turn 7-​inch-​everywhere-​hair into a good styled, but still not chopped to the bone look. But I did not know anyone. I had always just buzzed it off with a simple razor the majority of my life.
I didn’t know where to start looking and with who. I didn’t trust the chain folks and didn’t know any of the select barbers, so I dug into Unilocal.And found Rick. The fact that he had good reviews and really seemed like a pro that knew what he was doing and didn’t need flash and other stuff to sell you on that fact.
So, I called and was able to get a great time on Saturday and the rest is history. It was a fantastic cut! I didn’t really know what to ask for, but he talked me through it and I ended up with EXACTLY what I wanted. My wife was blown away. I couldn’t be more impressed.
The environment was also great. It was personal and Rick gets you through with good conversation.
Whether you’re getting a buzz, a style or just looking to get a pro trim on your beard, Rick’s the guy. You won’t be disappointed.

Rick King has been my barber for the past 4 years. He moved here from Findley’s Barber Shop. Even though I enjoyed the environment at Findley’s, it’s extremely hard to find a good straight edge razor barber. When you find one stick with him. Especially for a black man’s head and face.

We are new to town and my husband was desperately needing a hair cut. He found Rick on Unilocal and gave him a call to ask if he was currently accepting walk-​ins and he said yes… great start!
Rick was quick, friendly and informative. As a Master Barber he was able to use a straight razor on the back of my husbands neck. My husband already wants to go back for a shave.
Price was totally affordable.

Well, let me start by saying that Rick (barber) is a really cool guy. Very friendly and easy to chat up with! And as you know… that’s always a good thing during a haircut. I’ve been living in the DFW area since May 14′ and I can honestly say that the Gentlemen’s Haircuts For Men is by far the best barber shop around these parts!
I usually wear my hair short and tight but since I’ve lived here I’ve been letting my hair grow out «not by choice»!!! It’s simply the fact that I could not find a GOOD barber around here. A lot of fancy places but they couldn’t hold a electric razor if you paid them! Wait minute… I am paying them!!! More reasons why I’m very happy with Rick’s ability to cut hair… the way that I like it!
So do yourself a favor and stop « Unilocaling» around for a good shop and just get in your car and head over to GHFM!!!

Rick is a master of the beard. I have been going to him for a little over a year. Keeps my full beard looking great! Highly recommend.
