Freed’s Home Furnishing

I just want to say this experience has to do more with the individual sales associate «Lily» Leilena Mersea.
During the initial purchasing process she was good and helpful by just letting us peruse and ask questions. The part where it all falls apart is her follow up after the purchase.
It took us literally almost 2 months to get a sofa set. I understand it may not be available for a few weeks, but there was absolutely no calls to us. I called several times and left several messages without any call backs.
One time specifically told her to make sure to follow up with me the next day and that i would call her if I did not hear back from her, and not only did she not do so, but she took her vacation. The ONLY way to get things moving was to speak with a person name Reggie who was fantastic and very fast and helpful.

I’ve bought several pieces from Freed’s and I can’t complain. I’ve had great experiences with the sales woman named Jennifer at the Plano location. She takes the time to help you design your space and offers many fabric choices to help customize your furniture. She is also not too pushy and is a genuinely nice person. Yes, Freed’s is not a place where you buy Drexel or any of those extremely high end pieces. They cater to the middle/​upper middle class family that wants quality furniture for a reasonable price. You probably won’t find heirloom pieces that will be around for hundreds of years; but you won’t find cheap furniture either. Definitely a step above haverty’s and Nebraska furniture mart but not quite Kathy Adams.

Worst customer experience ever!
I had been in to the showroom (Plano location) before and knew what I wanted. Worked with Mark — who was in a rush to get me out the door. I bought a sofa table — I was under the impression that the floor model was the last of them and was «as is.» Mark assured me it wasn’t so — and I could have a new one delivered to the store.
I SPECIFICALLY asked about assembly. He assured me (multiple times — because I brought it up multiple times) that all I would have to do was take it out of the box. There would be nothing for me to do.
Well, I am now sitting here putting together my sofa table. Of course the darn thing had to be put together! I called store to speak to a manager and wouldn’t you know it — it was Mark! He conveniently couldn’t remember discussing assembly with me. He must have «misunderstood» what I was asking him at the time.
PAHLEASE! This man knew exactly what he told me!
I have friends who love the Dallas location — but, I know I will be headed elsewhere for the rest of my furniture!

Waste of time and money. Bought a bed frame, 2 night stands and a sofa. The Sofa came with stains, the wood on the bed frame was damaged, and the 2 night stands were different shades of color. On delivery they damaged my wall. When I called them about these issues the customer service person was rude and stated that I should have reported the wall damage when the delivery guys were there (I noticed the damage after they left). I spent thousands of dollars for what I thought was high quality furniture but in the end I was delivered products that were damaged and incorrect. On top of that they damaged my wall. They retained a 600 dollar restocking fee. BUYER BEWARE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

This place got everything. I found variety of styles — traditional, distress and transitional. In the midst of running from one furniture store to another, we stumble upon this store and I have to say, this is the first furniture store where we found variety in the kind of furniture I was looking for. The gentlemen Conrad we dealt with, was very patient and friendly. He wasn’t pushy at all and really work hard to help us find what we were looking for. The store manger Stan was also pleasant and stopped by to offer help and exchange greetings. So far I’m impressed with this place and as much as I hate furniture shopping. It was quiet fun shopping here. When it comes to price, this is not Ikea but again there is a day night difference between the quality as well. I will update my review once my purchase is complete.
