This is a regular Chinese food place. Taste so so. Definitely doable. I love how you can order online, and they deliver to Bristol.

Would give it 6 stars if I could. Great cheap Chinese food. Great soup. Great chicken and broccoli. Fast delivery. Interior isn’t fancy.

Definitely the best Chinese take out in the area.(That I’ve found… I’m pretty sure I’ve tried all of them at this point.) Delivery takes a decade so i just go pick it up. The crispy sesame chicken, pork lo mein, and the egg rolls are really good. Ordering online is really easy, staff is all really friendly, so this place is my go to for Chinese.

What a fail. Boneless Spare Ribs — very fatty as in spit out unchewable, under cooked, sauce sweet & drippy Steamed Dumplings — doughy California Roll — tasted old Spring roll — Okay My wife disliked it more than I did.

My favorite place for Chinese in the area. Staff is friendly, food is good and usually comes out very fast. Prices are comparable to all the other«normal» Chinese take out places but Lotus Garden just seems to make their dishes a little bit better.

We always order delivery from here. It is wonderful. I love their egg food young and the sauce is amazing. The egg rolls are to die for, the chicken fingers, boneless ribs, chicken with cashews, everything is great! Have never had a bad experience here.

The best for classic Chinese take-out. Cheap prices and the food is always good. The other reviews already spoke of the lengthy delivery time so I won’t go into detail but that’s why there’s 4 stars instead of 5 and also why we always opt to pick up our own food when it’s still fresh.

If you are looking for sickingly sweet, greasy food you’re in the right place. Never been here before but wanted to get a couple different things to give a fair review. Lunch time items so price wise was very good. Fried rice was ok but greasy. The boneless spare ribs was something I can only describe as «meat dessert” — it was like eating meat candy. So so so so sweet and strange meat texture. Couldn’t separate the fatty bits from the meat. I think the heavy corn syrup covering was the most off putting. Even the egg rolls were super sweet. I’m kind of at a loss with all of that. Now… The steamed veggies? Very good! Plain, from the«healthy menu» and with white rice. They get 4 stars for that… Wonton soup was good as well. Changing my review from 2 stars to 3 due to the veggies and soup.

First time eating at Lotus Garden. Ordered delivery and they were very quick. Ordered $ 50 worth of food. The order consisted of sushi and traditional Chinese food. BBQ Spareribs with pork fried rice. Steamed dumplings. Egg rolls and house lo mein. Because we ordered so much they threw in a whole container of general tso’s chicken for free. AWESOME! The food was good. Probably the best boneless spareribs I’ve had at a Chinese restaurant. Dumplings were slightly above average and the lo mein was very tasty. Not greasy at all. A lot of flavor. Everything tasted very fresh. The general tso’s had some really good flavor. Not crispy but not soggy either. Very nicely cooked. The pork fried rice was a bit overcooked. That was my only complaint. The sushi, well there were some issues there. The sushi, not as good as the Chinese food. The rolls were poorly made. Some of the rolls were falling apart. They were cut way to big. The flavor was OK. The sushi was not nearly as good as everything else. Very disappointing. Can get better at a Chinese Buffet. Overall I’m very pleased with Lotus Garden. I didn’t take any stars off for the sushi because they still tasted fresh. Next time I won’t get the sushi I’ll just stick to my standard general tso’s and crab rangoons. lol

Five-star food within its own realm, i.e. takeout Chinese grease peddlers. I’ve always enjoyed what I’ve eaten here. And it’s very cheap, since I’m always ordering from the lunch menu. I work in the area. But last time I was here, their practices could only be described as highly unintelligent. When you work in the restaurant business, your lunch time cannot be the same as the peak lunch hour, which I think we’d all agree is 12−1PM. I walked in between 12:30 and 12:45, and they were getting ready to take their break. Making my lunch was a downright inconvenience to them — it took forever, they made the wrong dish(I wasn’t about to send it back for fear of losing even more time), and they forgot to get my soda. I’ve worked foodservice before. I expect no less than to eat at odd hours, such as a 4PM lunch or a 10PM dinner. You have to adapt. Apparently, these guys just don’t.

Quite a bit put off by delivery. The food is great but make sure you check that they bring what you ordered! I called to tell them they got the wrong order and they said they’d send someone right away with the correct dish. That was 45 minutes ago, still waiting. It’s a shame because I think they had a good thing going.

Tried this place for the first time because they deliver. They were very friendly on the phone and delivery was quick and the food was hot. Egg rolls appeared to be made fresh as was all the food. I did think that the food was under seasoned a bit but it was better on day 2 as leftovers. I will definitely try them again as the food really seemed to be made with fresh ingredients and prepared with care. I’m hoping that the next order will find the food to be a bit better seasoned

My 2nd fave fast Chinese anywhere. Fresh, tasty food. Hottie owner, very nice, welcoming. I get the Hunan chicken or garlic chicken; both are very tasty. Wonton soup, fresh.

The best Chinese food in Plainville! OK, I admit, I haven’t tried them all… but after getting delivery from Lotus Garden a few times, I don’t feel the need to try any others. Every dish I’ve tried has been good(cashew chicken, wonton soup, sweet/sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, crab rangoon) but my favorite is the beef with mushrooms. They also have sushi, which is generally very good. I’m usually not a huge fan of Chinese food, because of the texture of the meat(either too tough, or too stringy) but that’s not the case here. No need for me to be a Chinese vegetarian anymore! Delivery is quick, prices are reasonable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because sometimes the recipes seem inconsistent — always good, but the spices seem to change a little with the day. ** This review is only for the delivery; we have not yet dined there.

This place has the best fried rice and boneless spare ribs. I agree with the other Unilocaler, the owner is really nice and she tends to throw in free food like egg rolls into your takeout bag. Bottom line: Try this place because my wife and I are foodies and we love their food.

This place takes chinese food a step further! Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen here in Bristol, but I am happy to admit that this place has everything including sushi, and YES I do eat the sushi, time and time again. The girl that always answers the phone is so very pleasant and personable, she try’s to remember your name even after only a few visits. They deliver food very efficiently, and even delivered durring a snow storm that two other chinese wouldn’t dare venture out(make sure to tip good). I have never had a bad experiance with this place under it’s current ownership, and have just placed an order. They even serve beef and string beans which seems to be a rare commodoty these days!
