I will give them a 2 because they do have some items that are worth the humiliation going in there. I have been here 16 years and stopped going in there for years. The attitude of their staff should not be tolerated nor allowed. The owners of this place are so disconnected from what is really going on at the counters. Disrespect through and through. If you have ever seen Sienfeld and the soup Nazi episode there you have it. It’s a shame they are lost as owners they could have a super gold mine there. WAKEUPOWNERS!!! Change your staff to customer friendly people

My office just moved back into the area, used to order lunch from the deli daily. However things must have change because this was the worst lunch I had in a very long time and the customer service was no better. Just ordered two chicken cordon blue specialty sandwiches. The chicken was brown, died out and old. Both sandwiches went in the garbage. When we called to complain we were transferred twice before we were told to bring the sandwiches back because it was impossible that the chicken was bad because they sell to much chicken.

Great sandwiches! Anything I’ve ordered was always fresh. Friendly counter people. Great selection of hot and cold.

I was visiting Long Island and went to eat here twice. Once I found it randomly because I was very hungry and it was convenient to pull in with my elderly mother. She seemed to like all the choices, but we both got salads, which they prepare in a bowl and give back to you after you provide your choices. The salad was very good! I then found out my uncle had been sent to get potato salad by my aunt and this was precisely where he was going to get it, because they have Pennsylvania Dutch potato salad. The next day I went back with both parents, who got their hot lunch, which consisted of a meat, starch and vegetable all for 6.99. I again got the salad and my parents had to get some of the special potato salad, and my Mom raved about the cole slaw. My only complaint is that they do have a small sitting area, but here are no restrooms, so they send you to the Burger King next door.

Ordered my sausage egg and cheese and got to the car. Opened it up and pulled a hair out of the sandwich.(I’m bald so it ain’t mine!). Let it slide and ate. Got to the end and last bite had another hair. Puked out my last bite and will NEVER eat here again. Disgusting

I have gone to Fire Side a number of times. They have yet to get an order completely correct. The food is decent. Their professionalism over the phone to order is terrible. And u need 5 or more sandwiches in order to do that. The deli is expensive as well. Overall, I would say stay away

The hot food, sandwiches, and salad are good. The staff is friendly, and it’s been a consistently good place to go for lunch for years. Looking forward to the new juice bar when it’s finished being built. It’s more of a takeout place though since the tables can be kind of dirty and the eating area crowded and small.

It’s a steam table deli, with both cold cut and hot food counters. The food is mediocre, though nicely priced. Today, I had the chicken parm hero, which was a special for $ 4.99 and it was HUGE, keeping me fed for two meals. My friend had some panini with too much honey mustard in it, which ruined the taste. I’ve had family style roast chicken take out from here before and while the chicken was okay, the sides weren’t very tasty, mostly bland. They have a good assortment of prepared foods, which looked good. The cashiers looked about 15 years old and were clumsy, like not asking whether or not we wanted a plastic bag(didn’t need it since we were staying to eat) and not actually handing me my food after bagging and ringing it up. There is a small sitting area at the very back of the store, which was good for us. We went between meals and I expect it is more hectic during the meal times. I saw too late that they had a juice/smoothie bar through a separate door. I might try it next time I go.

Staff not in appropriate hair nets and small food portions. Hair in cold cut sandwhich. Illegal tax on Arizona drinks. When asked the lady behind the counter what the new area under construction will be she said a bar for drugs and alcohol. Wtf? Sorry I must have missed something.

I just had the best chicken parm hero of life! I was violently hungry and could only make my way through half of one! So good! I’m working late tonight so I know where the kids are having dinner! I’m NOT a fast food fan at all. These people are getting my business!

The Service: Staffs behind counter & register are very friendly. However, this is the first time a restaurant owner told me STOP taking pictures of their food? The Food: BBQ ribs — meat is tender but sauce tastes too much ketchup, way too sweet. Spicy wings — the spicy sauce is good but chicken didn’t look fresh Macaroni & Cheese — macaroni is overcooked. Look cheesy but didn’t taste much cheese flavor Creamy spinach — taste okay The Parking: Private lot(Free)

Second time at this place. Sub shop in the back is amazing. The grill however, may need some work. The Buffalo wings are crunchy, with little meat on them. You get more meat of you order half a Panini than a full one. The Panini are delicious, just everything else is a bit eh

If you call yourself a deli why would you start your business hours at eight in the morning and not earlier to catch the breakfast crowd going to work. With so many more options on old country Road I will take my business elsewhere

stay away!!! I have worked in an office nearby for 5 years, ordering food from there a couple times a week. Although my coworkers and I have had some messy sandwiches and skimpy salads over the years, we always craved fireside for lunch. one morning I stopped on my way to work for breakfast, I ordered an egg on toast. The woman behind the counter cracked the egg onto the grill, and while my egg was cooking, she walked away and shoved a heaping handful of pasta salad into her mouth. she then proceeded to put spoons into all the salads while wearing the same glove. absolutely disgusted, I walked out and will never be returning.

As if my previous review wasn’t bad enough… A coworker went here a few days ago for an egg sandwich. The woman behind the counter cracked the eggs, and then with the same glove stuck her hand into the tortellini salad and ate it from her hand. She proceeded to put the signs out in front of all of the salads and finished making my coworkers sandwich still with the same gloves on. I’m not sure why my coworker did not report this to a manager… but the power of Unilocal

OK, I’ve come around on these guys. The ordering process is still a little haphazard, although they did add a Place Order Here sign over the counter. I don’t think most of their sandwiches and wraps are that amazing, but I have found myself going there more lately, so I guess it has some appeal. My current sandwich of choice: hot roast beef on a hero with melted mozzarella and steak sauce. Mmm mmm.

First. I have a confession — I LOVESANDWICHES. So, after passing by this place numerous times, I decided it was a must go. Now, the day i finally went I actually planned to get pizza. Due to an awful selection, I left the pizza place and, while I was started to get crazed with hunger, I made my way to fireside. Fate guided me to my sandwich. So, there I was. It turns out that 4 pm is not a prime lunch time because when I walked in I was the ONLY soul there. And the place is HUGE inside(this ain’t no average deli)! On my right was a whole counter of food — chicken, mashed, veggies, a salad bar. But I went straight ahead to the deli counter. It took me a few minutes to read the novella of sandwiches on the board but the guys behind the counter were very nice. They helped me decide and were pleased with the joy I took in my sandwich(and how ridiculously big the smile on my face gets in front of a deli counter). I ended up with a slammin hero — breaded chicken cutlet, bacon, Swiss, lettuce & mayo all on garlic bread. It was delicious. .. though the garlic bread was a little heavy on the garlic(coming from someone who lovesss garlic). Now, I also confess, I think my sandwich may have tasted better in part due to starvation and in part due to my pizza places failure. Either way, I was and am utterly happy with Fireside’s sweet success. And I plan to go back plenty of times(though I have learned to avoid garlic bread in the middle of the work day). I am excited try some other sandwich specials. I might even try some of their prepared hot foods.

A deli on steroids, really. Although the sandwiches aren’t the most creative, they are plentiful and filled with Boar’s Head meats. Where Fireside really sets itself apart from other deli’s is with their HUGE hot food counter serving ribs, different kinds of fresh chicken, wings, daily specials and great sides. This is my Sunday football take out spot. For $ 20 – 25, you can walk away with either two whole chickens or a chicken and a rack of ribs. Each comes with three large sides. It’s enough food to keep you on the couch for a while… even while watching a Jet game.
