Physicians Immediate Care-- Plainfield North

Do not go here unless you want to pay a fortune for poor service. I was charged over $ 350 dollars for a sinus infection. Had I known the upfront charge I would have went to Walgreens and paid $ 89.
After posting this Megan from physicians asked me to email her i did that 5÷12÷16 and i am still waiting for a response.

Clean, friendly, and efficient. You can check online and if they have a long wait you can pick a later time to go in so you don’t have to sit there and wait. The PA is great with kids. My daughter adores her. I’m always in and out in less than an hour. I’d give them more stars if I could.

I gave this facility 1 star because of the hours. Other than that the wait is incredibly long to be seen by only a physician assistant, who misdiagnosed my daughter and then when I asked for a rediagnosis wanted to charge me a second time. Not to mention they keep your credit card on file and you have to call the billing department to cancel it. The reception staff is not that friendly. The facility is not that clean. Choose another place where they have qualified doctors and a friendlier front staff.

I went 20 mins before closing and I know it can get annoying especially last min patients but everyoneeee was so nice and took good care of me. I was so pleased with the staff and the office was so clean. Thank you again

So I’ve been here quite a few times for myself and my children. They used to be a great option if your doctors office was closed. The last 3 times I’ve gone I waited almost 2 hours and that was doing the zip pass to make an appointment! Not sure the point of making an appointment if you’re still waiting a long time! The biggest problem is that they usually only have one doctor working at a time! Could be great if they had a few doctors! Still a good option instead of an ER, but don’t like the system.

I come here frequently for myself and my children. It is nice to just be able to stop in when needed! The doctors are fantastic and my children love them more than going to their pediatrician! You can schedule online to bypass the wait!

Well based on one experience, I would say this place was average at best. Of the 4 people I dealt with, 3 of them were friendly, and 2 even went as far as to smile at me. I sat in the empty waiting room (translation: I was the only person waiting) for 25 minutes before they took me. Then once I was taken to the room the nurse asked a few questions and then I waited for what seemed like 30 minutes before the doctor came in, and then the doctor asked the same questions I had already answered. All in all I got there at 12:15, wasn’t taken to the room until 12:40, and didn’t walk out to my car until 1:40. Contrary to the name, nothing about it felt «immediate» and I didn’t feel any sense of urgency to help me lower my 102 degree fever. They kept apologizing for the wait, but that didn’t make me feel any less annoyed by it. I felt like complete crap and it seemed that I was kept waiting for no good reason. Then again, you never know how many people were back there before me… but they didn’t appear to be busy. I’ll go somewhere else next time

I went to Physicians Immediate Care after receiving a nasty cat bite at work. I went in around 7 pm on a week night and was seen right away. The registration and check-​in process was fast and easy. Everyone was extremely courteous and professional and the P.A. who saw me was very helpful and knowledgable. The nurse called me the next day to check in and see how I was doing. This is a great resource for after-​hours urgent care without going to the Emergency Room. I am so thankful they are so close!

I made my first visit to the Plainfield, Illinois location today and was Very impressed! The staff was friendly and helpful. My physician was Amanda Davenport who I found to be very professional and thorough. This office was very nice, clean and comforting. My family will Definitely be back!

Mama said, «don’t scratch that mosquito bite!» Now I know what the big, damn deal is if you do scratch.
Over the summer, I developed an infected mosquito bite on my leg. I scratched it, it opened, and I did what I could to treat it, keep it clean, etc. Shortly after, I developed an abscess on my leg, near the mosquito bite. I started to worry when it became larger and painful, so I headed over to Physicians Immediate Care.
The doctor was really nice and appeared genuinely concerned regarding how to treat my wound properly. I was told that the area would be numbed, and she would cut into it to drain the pus and then pack the wound. However, when she used a novacaine-​like painkiller, I became woozy and dizzy as if I were about to have a seizure (I’ve had seizures before so the feeling is terrifying). Although I’ve had this reaction before, it made me panicky and I asked her to stop. She was kind enough to stop and respect my wishes and gave me instructions regarding home care.
In 2 – 3 days, I was fine, it swelled and drained with little coaxing on my part. The compassion is key here. But I felt she was a little TOO eager to cut into my leg, considering that, the next day, it opened on its own and drained — all I did was flex my leg.
I was also treated for an ear infection here. Everything went fine for that. I’d recommend this location for simple things like ear infections, coughs, etc. Especially if you’re a parent and always taking your kid to the doctor for the same thing. Anything more than this is out of their league.
I’ve been in the waiting room alone, or with 1 other person. And the wait is way too long for what this is: an urgent care with little to no business.
Also, I highly dislike that you have to put a credit card on file with them. This is so that they can bill you for whatever your insurance doesn’t cover. I like and told them on both of my visits that I didn’t have a credit card with me, so they let it go and reminded me that «next time» I should bring one.
Close to home for me, but I prefer Edward Immediate Care in Bolingbrook. Less wait, and no credit card hassle.

I took my son there a few months ago. He had had a fever for a few days and wasn’t getting any better. I got in right away. The doctor that saw my son was phenomenal. She called that night to see how he was doing. Someone also called the next day to check in on him. Everyone was very professional. I would not hesitate to go back.

If you prefer sub-​standard medical care and doctors who really don’t seem to know what they are doing, this is the place for you. Never called me with my lab results, or followed up on a prescription that had bad side effects. If you prefer decent medical care, go to Edward Immediate or Emergency Care. I felt like I was at a veterinary clinic and would have probably been better off.
