Becky Tips and Toes I’d first like to start by saying, no matter how bad an experience has been for me, never have I felt I needed to create a Unilocal account to discuss my experience! I honestly wish the saying, «You get what you pay for,» applied in my situation. I went to Becky on November 10th. My parents wanted to give me a little pampering for my birthday and they know I LOVE nails. I was referred to Becky by another nail technician, so I assumed she must be pretty damn good if ANOTHER nail tech was encouraging her client to try another business. I got to my appointment at 2:38p, calling Becky at about 2:20p to let her know I was going to be behind due to traffic, and she told me that was fine. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and we began the appt. Becky asked me what I wanted and I told her EXACTLY that. I had a vision in mind, and I wanted that! In detail, I told her what colors I wanted, on what fingers, and embellishments of a plain blue bow on one middle finger and a black bow on the other. I asked for subtle glitter on each nail excluding the middle finger. Although what I got is ok, it isn’t what I asked for or wanted. Nor do I feel it was worth the cost. For $ 75, I should have gotten every single detail I asked for and no small mistakes. When Becky began applying the acrylic, I was a bit uneasy because she kept doing what she wanted rather than checking with me before beginning each nail. The nail shop that usually does my acrylics ALWAYS double checks that the design I want is what they are applying before finalizing the nails. Not Becky. She put a very showy glitter on one of my nails and it wasn’t what I’d asked for. I wanted an ombré of blue to black with a subtle hint of glitter over the ENTIRE nail. What really irritated me was that when I asked her to do a nail a certain way, she’d tell me «But I was going to do this…» No that’s not what I want nor asked for.!! I’m paying good money for nails I have envisioned, if you are not going to bring them to life, please do not waste my time or money! When I said I wanted more of a blue color on a nail, she blatantly put the clear coat on top finalizing it!!? The main issue I have is that she didn’t even add the main component I wanted on my nails,(the only reason I came to her shop in the first place) the bow embellishment! When Becky finished my service I had powder under my nails and when I said something about it, she told me it washes off when I wash my hands. I felt she could have at least attempted to clean everything up. When I left, I was sooo aggravated and irritated that my nails weren’t what I wanted; that I’d spent $ 75 on a service that I was not happy with and I’d wasted 2.5 hours(which shouldn’t have taken this long had she been doing what I asked). I went back into the shop and asked what of my service did she consider embellishments; because I surely didn’t see any on my nails. She said the glitter was an embellishment! Glitter certainly is not and if it is, I only asked for SUBTLEGLITTERPAINT. The embellishments I wanted she was so busy creating her own look; she never added mine! Now today, barely TWODAYS after my service an entire NAIL has broken off. Not chipped; just broken clean OFF! I’m highly disappointed & disgusted with my service from Becky’s Tips & Toes. My service was suppose to cost $ 65 but I paid $ 75. I will not be returning. I thank my parents for trying to give me a nice gift but wish they would not have wasted their money. Word of advice, please give the client exactly what they desire, not your version. After contacting Becky on Thursday(two days from my original appt) to repair the index finger nail, she stated she’d repair it free of charge just come on in. The repair was rushed & uneven to my original set of nails. It looked odd & out of place. Here today on Sunday, day 5 after my original appt a complete nail from my left index finger pops off. I was just talking and festering with my hands. This is the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I won’t be going back, not even for a repair!

I have been going to Becky for well over a year now, and I wouldn’t go to anyone else but Becky now. Talented, professional and just plain cool. She by far does the best hand painted nail art. She always listens to what I want, and never disappoints. Where ever I go I get compliments. Becky is The Best, Hands down!
