Only giving 1 star based on the fact that we have tried to visit twice on days that they were advertised to be open. They seem to make up their own hours. Wish we could offer more for s review. Will continue to check in when someone decides to unlock the doors so we can shop local.

Cute store. My kids love it. It’s a little pricey on some things, but that’s to be expected when you’re not buying your toys at Walmart. Definitely adds to Plainfield’s hometown feel.

This place is teeny and was J-​A-​M-​M-​E-​D on the night of Plainfield’s Small Business Saturday (which happened to coincide with their nativity lighting, translation: lots of families downtown, hoping to get out of the cold).
The place was packed with kids, no surprise, delirious over the array of kid-​oriented goodies. But even if you are not of the small fry set you can still appreciate Main Street’s merch: there’s a big focus on old-​time favorites, great for a flashback or as a gift to pass down to the next generation!
I definitely plan to stop in on a less crowded day. I’m sure Main Street will become a mainstay when I need an infusion of fun!
