From what I gather my garbage company was sold to Grand Sanitation, to start, I was sent a bill 2 weeks before I was notified that they were changing hands, so I thought it was a scam and I tossed the bill out, but that’s besides the point. I put my garbage out, 3 days in a row, I called every day to ask why it wasn’t picked up, and every day it was 1 story or another. Finally it was picked up, next pick up day, didn’t pick it up. I was given several more excuses, yes I get they took on more clients and there are bugs to work out, but after reading all the negative reviews, i could see why. So after the 3rd or 4th time I called to cancel, didn’t even ask me if to stay with them or anything, whatever. Horrible service. I would give no stars if I could.

RAISEFEEWITHOUTNOTIFYINGCUSTOMER Our auto pay notice shows there is an increase on our bill. However, we didn’t get any notice of price increase in advance. The company’s official website even still listed the original fee. That means, the company took extra money without letting us know in advance. It was not huge money so it certainly won’t let the company lose its customer. However, it surely breaks the trust between Grand and its customer. Moreover, the company simply deleted our complain in their social networking service website. FRAUD? We use Grand’s service for a while. Although there was some issues in the beginning, the company managed to respond to us and solve those problems. We are happy with the company until today. I don’t know why the company suddenly decide to drop the quality of its customer care.

They leave a terrible mess, are not reliable, and if you call to discuss, they are rude and change their story. They manage to be both incompetent and rude, and I won’t say that they lie, because that would require some planning, they can’t seem to decide what actually happens or who is really in charge. If you want to deal with a huge garbage mess and hours of wasted time and effort on the phone, this is the company for you.

Like the previous reviewer, this business deserves ZERO stars. Has been a headache since signing up with them. Had to call them to pick up my trash as well and it took them two months of calling and emailing to straighten out the problem. Finally found another company in August and it took me a month to get rid of them. STAYAWAY.

If I could give no stars, I would. This place is awful and is, unfortunately, one of the three trash services for Berkeley Heights, NJ, where I live. I joined them in the fall, and had to call multiple times for them to actually come and pick up my trash. Who ever calls their trash company? I went on vacation the first week of December and from then until March they never once picked up my garbage. NOTONCE. I signed up with another company and forgot all about them until they had the audacity to send me a bill. Called, cancelled, they checked with their driver who confirmed they never picked up my trash. Now, a month later, they’re trying to get me to pay for this service. They didn’t pick up my trash for THREEMONTHS! Filing a complaint with the BBB(where they already have one complaint, wish I had checked). Infuriating…
