Buikema’s Ace Hardware

This place is awful. One of the managers here is disrespectful and treats employees and customers with disrespect. I will drive a few blocks over just to go to the other ace. When I complained they never got back to me as well and still waiting to hear back.

You need it they got it or you need advice on fixing something they’ve got the answers and all that with a smile !

This is my «go to» hardware store when I only need a few items. I appreciate they always have someone at the front of the store to direct you or call for assistance. They usually have what I need and most of the time the staff is helpful, knowledgable and will walk you to the needed item.
The store is clean and organized and they have a nice selection of seasonal items.
They are a bit more expensive by comparison to the larger chain stores, but the «ease of use» makes up for the savings of time.

So disappointing. My mother, who is elderly, went to Buikema’s Ace to purchase a snow blower in early December. She was told by the sales associate that it would throw the snow 20 feet, among other guarantees. As it turns out, it doesn’t. It barely throws the snow 10 feet. Which is not handy when clearing a 3 car driveway. She called them and asked if she could return or exchange it (for a model that actually performed adequately) and was told that no exchange was possible as they didn’t have any left and a refund wasn’t possible as it had already been used.
Its disappointing to have this experience at an Ace Hardware as they sell their reputation and expertise as much as the actual product. It is unfortunate that we will no longer be able to patronize this store.

Close and easy to go to when you need something quick. Staff is always helpful and friendly.
