Pizza Bene

We had a party of 7. They were so accommodating and great service. The pizza was excellent and the salad was fresh. I love this place.

Really delicious pizza it’s my go to pizza place and great pizza for vegetarians! Love the quality and love put into the pizza. The employees are always helpful. Nice atmosphere inside and out, perfect place to go for a quick lunch/​dinner or a nice night out I recommend this place to everyone!

My son told me about this place, he said «Mom, you have to try their ministrone soup, it’s delicious! » He was right! I’m not a pizza person but everyone else in the family is, so having their soup with bread is heavenly. You can get a whole pizza or these huge slices of pizza. Happiness.

We checked out the reviews of this pizza restaurant and decided to get a cheese pizza for take out. Walked and was greeted right away. We were told that the flour was imported from Naples and was not bleached and that all the dough was made from this. The pizza was not amazing but very good. What would have made it amazing is if the crust was a little less burnt.

My wife and I absolutely love this place! Great food all around. Anything from apps to desert. One of our staple choices.

A family friendly environment and good location. We ordered the marinara and meatballs and the prawn linguini. The pasta may have been made on location but was over cooked at least when it arrived. But, the flavor was good. The meatballs were excellent. Pizza was cooked in a pizza oven and done well — lots of garlic and the sauce was great. The pepperoni was not very good which was unfortunate because the sauce and crust were good. Portions were very large — I recommend family style.

As recently new but happy fans, we arrived for lunch at the posted 11AM opening, only to be RUDELY told to come back in 20 to 30 minutes. At wife’s insistance we returned (like «good children»), and ordered their pizza combo which had warm wet crust and looked/​tasted half cooked. Keep in mind, they charge TOP DOLLAR. I am no longer a fan, and won’t go back.

Unbelievably amazing food! The bread is so good I could have just eaten that! Of course the pizza is divine, I ordered something w mushrooms and bacon, awesome combo that just melts in your mouth. I can’t say enough about the super authentic pizza crust, but it was superb. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and fair prices will keep us coming back! Thank you.

Simply the best outside of Chicago. A once a week must. Marina sauce is rich with garlic and everything is home made. Love this place.

It, s all about that crust!!! Super crisp and flame oven tast. The sause is fresh too very organic and just right spice. AWSOME!!!

So amazing. Great service and the best pizza in the world. Placed a Togo pizza and came in for delicious frosty drink. Was like walking into little Italy. Me amore!

I had our soccer team Little rascals end of the season party at this round table location and had a great experience. Staff was great and even gave us a free pizza.
I give them 4 stars because I do think there is always room for improvement. Weather it’s Smiling more or checking on the customers more when a big party is scheduled.

Authentic taste and presentation! The Italian sausage sliders were oozing with marinara and topped with perfectly cut slices of delicately seasoned and prepared sausages beneath melted cheese. Paired with a small antipasto salad that was full of protein and veggies, I was delightfully full without feeling heavy. The spaghetti bolognese was so rich with flavor and filled to the brim that I will have it, unashamedly, for three meals. Aka portion sizes are intimidating so feel free to split a dish or two!
Bene Pizza is a fantastic, locally owned dinner venue. Plus, this is one of the most affordable options on the main drag! And with three tables outside next to a fireplace, you’re sure to soak in the food and downtown Placerville sights while partaking in some people watching.
Come here if you forgot to eat in Tahoe and are on your way back to SF. Placerville is a quaint historic town that prolongs your vacation and satisfies your stomach without the grease of fast foods. So come, have a seat, and chat it up with those around your table. You’re at Bene Pizza, where they treat you like family!

My wife was taking the bar the following day, so we decided the day before to enjoy apple hill and their wine tasting. We had a lovely time and we felt like Italian on the way back to Sacramento. We saw Bene Pizza and we rolled the dice and were pleasantly surprised! Just the right price with incredible service (a cool dude named Jonathan). I had the Bene Calzone and my wife had their special clams and linguine. They were both fantastic, but we particularly enjoyed their garlic bread with bacon and their caprise salad. We’ll definitely come back as our server Jonathan owes me a beer! Great place in downtown Placerville!

Making a reservation is a totally recommendation. Pizza was so good I didn’t have time to take a photo. Enjoyed their latte and vanilla bean gelato with port poured over.

Dinner tonight was unbelievable, I had the linguini with clams and the wife and daughter had the margarita pizza. My pasta was great! This is my new favorite for Italian in this area. The service was also great! Our waiter Jonathan was both funny and was on the spot. I will definitely be back:

Pizza Bene… Pizza Ben Burnte‘ over and over and over again.
I suggest you go to Heyday Café if you want higher quality ingredients and a much more deliciously prepared pizza. This place could be really good but it’s not at all for the money you spend.
The pasta… oh boy. Salty. Canned sauce. Junk. $ 18

Authentic Italian Pizza. Had the traditional pepperoni and it was awesome. The meatballs were devoured by my hubby who said, «outstanding»
Came in on Monday for a late lunch received great service. Will definitely be back for more!

I came here with my parents last night, and overall, was pleased with the experience. Is it fine Italian dining? No. Is it a good spot, especially for Placerville? Yes. They have a cute patio out front and a decent sized space inside with a small bar as well.
We ordered garlic bread and a large combo pizza, plus drinks. Service was friendly and attentive, speed was neither fast nor slow. Our garlic bread was so so. The pizza was good but not the best I’ve ever had. Prices were not cheap but reasonable enough. I’ll come back again I’m sure, as the other pizza option in town is Round Table, and I think this was better than that anyways.
