I have attended many shows at IT, the theater is very comfortable the shows are filled with awesome actors and the production quality is excellent. We are very lucky to have a theater like this in our community. Online ordering of tickets is very easy and reasonably priced, enjoy a show and take your family.

They didn’t have our tickets! They use some idiotic ticketing system(«Brown Paper Bag» or the like) that reports all purchases 4 hrs before the show. So we ordered 3 hrs before and *PooF!* no record of us buying tickets at the box office… even though Brown Paper Bag said«Congratulations!» when we bought tickets! Dang. You try to support small local theatres & whaddaya get? Nothin’!! LOL Lesson learned: Always print your tickets at home somehow — even if your new printer isn’t hooked up yet! Sue Goodrich

A cute local theater. An intimate, homey, old school venue for local productions. Placerville has some excellent talent.

First, you have to get into the mindset of «community theater.» This is not your big-city opera house, no sirs. This is your local, small budget, somewhat volunteer theater house. And it is wonderful. I saw the musical«Little Women» here, and while that story did leave a strong impression on me in my childhood, I was not expecting to enjoy a production of it nearly as much as I did — not only that, but it was a musical, and I normally hate musicals. I can honestly say, this was really good theater. Excellent casting, seasoned performers mixed in with the budding talent of local children and teens. My mom was volunteering as a stage-hand(big move for a painfully shy woman), so she introduced me to the director at the end of the show. He mentioned that he tries to produce shows here that include the local youth — both as actors & by choosing themes that would interest youth. Well done, I say! Anyone who’s ever lived in a small town knows how desperately isolated places need options for kids beyond coffee, spray paint, drugs & getting pregnant. But don’t go getting the idea that this is a big charity or youth group. These are very fine productions, the acting was spot on, singing excellent, live musical accompanyment, staging was good(especially the placement of the velvet couch — go Mom!). The theater itself is comfortable and a good size(good thing, since the show I was at was sold out). I look forward to seeing another performance next time I’m in town.
