I have eaten at beef and brew numerous times and never been disappointed. Mike, the owner, is usually there to greet you and make you feel at home. He just moved to this location, having to expand because he is so popular. He makes the best fish tacos I have had, and I order them in a lot of places. If you like home cooked style food, then this is the place. Try the short ribs too. He has hamburgers that are big, and made with Angus beef. And a trip tip sandwich to die for. Try it!

Love this restaurant, it was formerly Mike’s Grill and we went there all the time. Food is still wonderful, service is great, and now the restaurant is beautiful as well! Please note that you can order off the lunch menu at dinner time, I always get the small cheeseburger and it is fabulous!

Was visiting my old college roommate for the night and decided to check out this new restaurant for dinner! The name definitely caught our eye so we figured we could go for some good beer and food. The inside is very nice, clean, and has a cool feel to it. I think they could have used their space a little better and can fit some more tables in but maybe they’ll figure that out as time goes on. Once seated we asked if they had a beer or wine list, which they didn’t… odd for a place with Brew in the title. Our server attempted to name all the beers off the top of her head but I have a feeling she left some out. She was able to bring us a sample of the beer before we got a glass which was nice. I ordered the taco salad and my friend got the cajan chicken sandwich. The service was pretty slow and took awhile to get our food but the food was pretty tasty. I think time will only help improve this location. WIll check out again.

Beef n Brew is a new restaurant to the Diamond Springs area We decided to go for lunch The dining room is beautiful warm and inviting The staff is courteous and helpful. We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and the Blue cheese burger. That come with gourmet Fries I have to honestly say they were the best hamburgers that we have ever tasted the most juiciest burgers you need«wrist bibs“LOL! With all this goodness, on top of it all The prices are very reasonable we will definitely go back for dinner to try their steaks.

Delicious! Had the Messy Burger and it was out of this world. The servers also were awesome, they checked up on us, brought us all the sides we wanted and kept up on the drink refills :) Definitely will be coming back!

So always excited to try a new local restaurant. Saw that they have prime rib Thur-Sun so me and the wife headed down on a Thur evening. Got there around 6:30(1.5 hrs before closing). Greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated. Both my wife and I ordered the prime rib, she got the 8oz cut, I got the 12 oz cut. She got a salad with the meal, which looked ok, I opted for the soup of the day(split pea). Soup was luke warm, but had ok flavor, not horrible, but not exceptional. Main course came out, waitress couldn’t tell the difference(neither could we) between the 8 oz cut and the 12 oz cut. Needless to say the pieces of prime rib were def not 12 oz and prolly a little over 8 oz. Dug in to the potatoes first, ok, flavor again like the soup, but barely warm. I figured they had been sitting on the plate while they were getting everything else ready for plating… Next bite of the mixed veggies, way over cooked, soggy and flavorless. Last up, my favorite, the prime rib, I was hoping this would be the highlight. It was cooked well done(not any pink to be found, I had asked for the rarest piece they had). Flavor was ok of the seasoning that they used, but the meat was tough from being over cooked. On a positive note, they give you garlic bread and that was warm and delicious. Im hoping this was a fluke, and I might give this place another shot, but for spending well over $ 50 for me and the misses(without drinks or appetizers) I would have expected at least a hot meal… Torn on weather or not to give this place a second try, I honestly think the prime rib at Mel’s is better… Maybe try a burger off the lunch menu or breakfast for better luck if we go back. On a side note, with«brew» being in the name of the establishment, i figured they would have a good selection of beers(some from local breweries). Didnt see anything on the menu, and when I asked the server it was all main stream beer that you can find at any pizza place…

My friend and I had dinner here this evening. The two of us frequently dine out together and consider ourselves traveling food critics. The parking lot was well lit and safe. The interior décor was very nice for a steak house. Everything looks new and most importantly clean. Having breakfast would seem pretty formal here. Certainly not diner style. The bathroom was very clean, tidy, and no standing water or spots on the counter near the sink. We had the onion rings as an appetizer. They were crisp, with a panko type of breading. They were not greasy. Some of the better onion rings I’ve had. We both ordered the 16 oz ribeye steak. The steak was perfectly cooked to order. The ribeye was more tender than most. Definitely high quality. The sautéed veggies were properly cooked, while still a bit crunchy. They had a sort of Italian seasoning. The green salad was not iceberg lettuce but more of a romaine/spring mix. The blue cheese dressing was thick with big chunks of cheese in it. I had the spicy coleslaw which I liked very much. My friend had the baked potato which looked pretty standard. It was wrapped in foil. The food and the way it was prepared and presented were all high quality. The prices for the dishes were in line with the quality, service and presentation. My friend and I agreed that this is the best steakhouse in the area from Cameron Park to Pollock Pines and certainly better than most steakhouses in the valley. They serve breakfast and lunch as well. We will check those out on another visit. Now the drawbacks. This is a new restaurant and somethings could be improved upon. As of tonight they had no desert menu, no espresso, lattes, or cappuccinos. The menu we felt for a steakhouse is incomplete without a T-Bone steak. I would have liked to have the waitress offer pepper from a grinder when we received our salad and main dish. I brought these points up to the manager as constructive criticism. She welcomed the input and acknowledged us. All in all this was a really good experience and we will return. I have posted pictures as well. Please note: The negative reviews posted about this place should be disregarded. Those reviews were done by people who have only done 1 or 2 reviews total.

Our food was delicious, service awesome! The décor was warm and inviting, loved the fireplace if we were having drinks! They were very accomodating, they served my breakfast, even though it was past their timeframe! My hash browns were cooked to perfection! My bacon was delicious. The golden sticks,(french fries), were so tasty, best ever! Thank you for opening a delicious restaurant!
