Best shop ever!!! I got a half-sleeve here and it turned out amazing. My artist was Ty but everyone here is incredibly talented and pretty cool too. I was there a bunch during my 3 sessions and every time I would just talk to Ty or Sarah or one of the other artists and shoot the shit with them. They’re all very knowledgable and will be honest with you. If you are looking to get a tattoo stop your search and come here. Easily the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been to and I will most certainly come back here when I want more.

I am in shock reading ANY negative reviews for Wyld Chyld! My daughter and I were both tattooed by Lauren last week, and we were overwhelmingly impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and humor that we experienced from start to finish. Lauren is a true artist, and given this was my first tattoo, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The prices are reasonable and competitive for the area. The shop is spotless with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. We were there for a full day and had a great time. The shop manager could not have been nicer, and the owner Sarah as well as all of the other artists are friendly and extremely talented. This is our go-to place for tattoos. Can’t wait to come back!

I went to Wyld Chyld for my first tattoo in December and had a great experience. Matt did a great job on my tattoo. I decided to schedule a second appointment for my next tattoo with Lu, as I thought his style would suit the tattoo I wanted. I called in March to schedule an appointment and to my disappointment, I wouldn’t be able to get in with Lu until May 9th. I scheduled the appointment and in April, I got a call that Lu would be out of town that day and would have to push the appointment back to May 22nd at 7pm. I was pretty bummed out that the appointment got pushed back but accepted the reschedule. Yesterday was supposed to be my rescheduled appointment and I got a call while I was at work saying Lu was double-booked for that day and my appointment had to be pushed back until the end of June. At this point, I was very upset. They had me put down a $ 50 deposit to ensure that I will be there for the scheduled appointment and as the customer I expect the same respect. At least give me better notice than calling me the day of the appointment when I had already turned down plans on a Friday night of a holiday weekend to be there. I have been waiting months to get this tattoo and it keeps getting pushed back. I accepted a refund of my deposit and have decided to go elsewhere. Thankfully, a great artist at a different shop was able to fit me in with 24 hours notice and give me a wonderful piece of art. Wyld Chyld may have some talented artists, but I cannot justify giving them new business considering the unprofessional run-around I was given. As a BSBA, I know that customer service is one of the most important aspects of having a great business retention rate and I hope the shop learns from this experience and is more careful in their scheduling in the future. Again, I would like to reiterate that the artists are extremely talented but it’s not worth what you have to go through to get an appointment.

The best you are going to find in Pittsburgh area. All the artists are great. Owned by Sarah Miller, runner up from Ink Master Season 2. She specializes in photo realism color and black/grey and her portraits are mind blowing. Shop also pierces and has artists that can cover many diff areas. Lauren is great with bright, bold colors, Lu specializes and is licensed to do Star Wars tattoos, and Ryan does amazing black/grey realism. He also makes hand made Victorian style jewelry. This shop dedicates itself to quality and longevity. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying or doesn’t know what theyre talkin about. It was Voted best in Pittsburgh a few times so I think that gives it some standing. I think the people who complain on here have some personal issue or have jealousy but i can assure you the work that comes out of this shop is superb.

I have a half sleeve done by Lu and I couldn’t be happier. I would recommend him to anyone. All the artists here are very professional and create beautiful tattoos. I would recommend Sarah, Lu, Ryan & Lauren to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.

Went here for another tattoo, a melting clock on my left wrist, and this time I was with Matt. I stand by my original statement. Everyone here is so talented! I’ve had Lauren and Matt, and for my next tattoo, I don’t know how I’m going to choose between the two of them! Matt was very gentle and friendly, and my tattoo healed up very nicely. A friend of mine and her mother were being tattooed right next to me by Bill, and they both had nothing but great things to say and their tattoos came out beautiful as well! When I walked in, everyone there remembered me and wanted to see my watercolor feather and how it healed. Sure, this place is $ 100 an hour, but considering the fact that I’m getting a piece of art tattooed on my body permanently for my entire life, I’d think $ 100 an hour is sufficient. I’d rather shell out some major bucks for a one-of-a-kind, beautiful tattoo to last me forever. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a tattoo every single time. Everyone is always very friendly, the artists try to make good suggestions to make sure your tattoo looks wonderful, and the talent is just amazing. You can’t go wrong with any artist there!

First of all let me state for the record I have six large pieces by the managing partner/artist Sarah Miller. Several of which are posted on her facebook page and her personal website, including a Yoda portrait that was tattoo of the day at the Orlando convention. Having said that, Sarah does do quality portrait work and while Sarah does have talent she also has areas that could improve if she could honestly put her ego aside and listen to constructive criticism without letting her emotions get the better of her. Part of being a great tattoo artist is listening to the customer and translating what the customer wants into a great tattoo. Unfortunately Sarah only wants to do the piece her way and because of such I had to pay another artist to actually put the background into a piece she did for me,(The Yoda) and every person that has seen it with and without the background has said it is much better with the background. Sadly Sarah’s biggest weakness is her own hubris and inability to see that she does have areas that need improvement. This is an artist with lots of potential and if she can ever see beyond immediate gratification to grasp the true meaning of life she may actually one day achieve something remarkable.

worst tattoo of my life bad line work. a 3rd grader could done better. and got a 7 inch long scar. never go here unless you want to lose a limb. more of a wood shop than a tattoo place. even a blind person could do better .what a waste of my hard earned money I should sue the artist that killed my arm. still might !!!

I moved to the city a few months ago and was looking for somewhere to get my 5th tattoo. They said they accepted walk ins, so I ventured over on a Thursday night(it’s right up the street and they had pretty great reviews). Allie was able to take me — lucky I walked in then, because it turns out she is booked for the next 3 months! All of my tats are tiny, and this one was no different, but she took the time to consult with me about every single detail and make sure I was absolutely sure about design and placement. Some of the other artists i’ve gone to have been pretty terse, but she was great. Very conversational, helpful, and reassuring throughout the whole process(I’m kind of a wimp when it comes to pain, and she didn’t make me feel like a p**** for wincing over a baby tat). Also, I asked her advice about one of my tattoos that«fell out» almost immediately after I got it. She explained why she thought it didn’t take the first time and offered to touch it up for an additional and very reasonable fee. She gave me advice on what I could do differently the second time around, and explained everything in detail. She was awesome. And from looking at her portfolio, it’s obvious she’s experienced with much more detailed stuff. Clean studio and friendly staff also.

I did some research around town and decided to go to this place. It was a good 40 min drive for me each way to get this tattoo, so obviously I could have gone to closer places. It took a few appointments to get everything worked out, but I got it done. I could have gone with Sarah Miller(appeared on Ink Master on Spike TV) but instead chose to go with Ryan Clark. When I told Ryan what I was looking for, he looked at the design and tried to put this together. When he looked at it and tried to piece it together, he told me that he could do it but he thought it wouldn’t look like I would want it too. He told me that he would do it if I wanted it done but he also said he wanted to talk to me to make sure that my tattoo was the best representation of what I was looking for. He changed the design based on our conversation and then sent me a basic outline of the tattoo via email(this way I didn’t have to drive all that way just to see it). When I came it, he was very professional and you could see that he put his heart into his work. He took lots of time to make sure the details were right and it was great. In the end, I love the detail that he put into the tattoo and the recommendations he had. The tattoo looks way better than what I was thinking and am very happy that I chose him. On a side note, there were 2 other experiences that happened when I was there which were interesting. First, a woman came in looking for a cover up tattoo. She asked about getting it covered and was told that because it was so dark, it would be hard to cover it up. They mentioned that they could do it but only a few things would cover it up. They also gave her other options about what to do with it, including getting laser treatment to lighten up the tattoo. Then they could do more with a cover up tattoo. I thought it was good that they gave her options instead of just looking to tattoo her and take her business. They seem to care about the art going on the body as it’s a reflection of them. 2nd experience, a guy came in and wanted his eyelids tattooed. They all said that they weren’t really interested in that type of tattoo and again, that told me that they weren’t there just to tattoo anyone anywhere. I think it’s good for a shop to do things like that. All in all, I thought it was a great experience and will contact Ryan about my next tattoo.

This place definitely needs more reviews! Come on people! I went here last Thursday to get a nostril piercing for their $ 20-Thursday deal. I was greeted promptly and there was a short wait while another person was pierced. Seth brought me over to his work area after he finished the other person. I signed the paperwork and gave my ID. He thoroughly sanitized everything and even waited the 10 minutes you’re supposed to wait while disinfectants disinfect. He was super sweet and friendly, and I felt really comfortable with him. We had conversations about me growing up in the south, shared some laughs and made small talk. He felt like a friend. Once I sat in the chair he explained everything to me and cleaned my nose and made sure the positioning was right for the nostril piercing. It went in, barely hurt and I was done! I absolutely loved the experience and felt completed once the piercing was done. I’ve always wanted a nose piercing, and I am so glad I chose Seth for doing the job. He’s an immensely talented and kind person as far as I can tell, and I will be returning for nipple piercings and a septum in the future. I am beyond pleased with the service and prices here, so please, if you want piercings, go see Seth! P. S. Tipping is nice, and bring cash to tip with! They use Square card readers for credit transactions and can’t accept tips with a credit card.
